Hi All,My apologies if this is covered elsewhere - I DID do a search first....Anyhow, I've just had an ..er embarassing experience on VATSIM where I was unable to enter my assigned sqk of 0710.Whenever I attempted to decrement the first digit below a value of '1', the transponder's display decreased to three digits! The same happens if you attempt to increment beyond "7".Have I found a bug & do I win a t-shirt? :-wink2

hi PMDGi read somewhere that your 737 only supports FSbuild 2 in order to quickly and easily import flight plans into the FMC, if this is the case does that mean i have to also buy FSbuild to make full use of the FMC?Does the FMC support other freeware flight plans? If not, my only option is to manually enter every waaypoint?

Dear pmDG, I am planning on buying a new computer soon, I have already purchased and installed the 737. If i want to install it on my new computer (I am cleaning out the old one, and giving it to my family--no FS will be on it) do i simply do the same procedure with the registration as if i were upgrading my computer, i.e do the unregister code and e-mail that to you, along with the new code from my comp? Thanks a ton! also, in an earlier post i inquired about a couple of tutorials dealing with the fms initialization and engine start procedure, someone from PM was kind enough to help saying to check the "Liveries and more page"but the tutorials were not there (I have …

Hi guys,If you're level at say 6,000 feet and there is a minor variation in altitude, suddenly the altitude display is at 5,900 feet. Of course, it's not that you suddenly lost 100 feet, it's just a matter of how the speed display works. However, I must say that I do find it confusing sometimes. I believe that in real life the 60 is connected to the 00 and the 59 to the 80, so that when you're at 5,990 feet the top part of the display shows 6,000 and the bottom part shows 5,980, to avoid any possible confusion.Leo BakkerPS. In case anyone drops into the forum and thinks I must be really unhappy with the sim because of all my posts, I just want to repeat my previous praise…

I am having three major problems with the 737NG. First, my speedbrakes wont deploy on landing. If I arm them using the lever on the throttle, the "speed brakes" armed light doesn't even go on. If I arm them using a key stroke, the light goes on, but they still don't deploy on landing. Is anyone else having this problem?Second, the GPWS seems way to sensitive. I get the "terrain warning" as soon as I go below 2500 feet and I dont have the gear down, and I get the "Pull Up" warning if im descending more than 100O fpm under 2500 feet. I hoped this will be addressed in the patch.Third, if I am flying the approach manually, and I dont have the "autothrottle armed" switc…

Hi,I had a major problem with my machine. Something happened to the directory structure and I had to completely reload XP. Since my hardware hasn't changed at all, will I be able to reuse the same serial # and activation code that I was originally given since all the hardware is still the same? I wasn't able to go in and unregister the plane. I know that you guys are busy right now, but I did search on this problem but couldn't find the answer/ThanksKen Lavigne

Hi all,I starting my first SID edition with this fantastic aircraft, but i have some problems.I would like to create the SID of EBCI (Charleroi-Brussels South, Belgium)Here's the departure procedure :'Intercept GSY R-247 to D6 GSY, turn right, intercept HUL R-227 inbound to HUL VORDME'Here's my sentence in the .txt :SID HUL1Y RNW 25 KEEP HDG UNTIL 6 FROM NAVAID GSY HDG 247 INTERCEPT RADIAL 227 FROM NAVAID HUL NAVAID HUL1. The FMC create a waypoint beyond HUL, at a very long distance of it, and return to HUL.2. Note i insert twice 'NAVAID HUL'. It's necessary to return to HUL. Otherwise, the procedure stop over the waypoint.I don't really understand this problem. The FMC d…

Has anyone noticed how the APU bleed switch switches itself off when you shut down the engine? (Couldn't figure out where the clicking noise was coming from :-))I realize that the APU bleed valve closes automatically when the APU is shut down with the bleed switch left ON, and opens automatically when the APU is started (and reaches a certain rpm), but the APU bleed switch is just a toggle switch and can't move by itself (or is the F/O picking up on my sloppy cockpit procedures :( ).And here's something else I learned today:During engine start, the bleed duct pressure increases when you turn the start knob, but only if you are using the APU to supply bleed air. If you are…

Having claimed that I don't experience any problems with the 737 except for the degradation of fps, I now experienced this! :)Having landed with AP offline BUT with AT engaged I then turned off at a taxiway. I disengaged autothrottle and increased throttle (from a standstill) to get moving but nothing happened. The N1 was reading 90 something percent but nothing happened. No brakes activated, no autobrakes, no nothing - it just won't move with full throttle. I then switched to another plane (the ATR from Eurowings) and sure enough I started rolling. Have I missed something? I read through the "issues"-thread but didn't find this mentioned.I'm using a CH products Yoke US…

Hi allTonight I prepared a flight from EKCH, COpenhagen to LGSM, Samos. Of course I wanted to test my new baby.Everything prepared. FMC programmed, no errors, flightplan looked good, no DISCO. Take off RWY22R. LNAV preselected and push that TO button!Flying on the F/D manually. ATC gave me direct SIMEG. Ok, I found SIMEG in the LEGS page and entered it in the scratchpad. Went back to LEGS page 1 and pressed LSK1. And something went really wrong.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24120.jpg http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24121.jpgOh well. Everything seemed fine on the CDU so I engaged the A/P in VNAV and LNAV. And my passengers got a hair raising roller coaster ride. I …

Hi all,Apologies if someone else has posted this tip but I've found a very useful way of setting up the Perf Init settings on the PMDG737.Once you've loaded a flight plan and set your position move to the Perf Init page. Now, if like me, you can never remember what the zero fuel weight of your aircraft is, fear not as the FMC will set it up for you. Instead of calculating and entering the ZFW just press LSK1 - where it say's GW/CRZ CG. The Gross Weight, current fuel and ZFW will all be calculated for you! Brilliant :-) Enter the remaining values and continue.PMDG? Was this published anywhere?Cheers,

I noticed the following:- The off schedule descent light will not cause a master caution. I know that it should, because in the KLM 738 sim I managed to get one. Blamed it on my co-pilot, of course :-)- According to my manual, during recall not only the system annunciator light will show up again (if there was something there, of course), but also the master caution light itself will re-illuminate.- There are a few items that in itself will not cause a warning, but will only show up during recall, one fuel pump low pressure light for instance. It noticed that in the sim it doesn't work that way, it will immediately cause a master caution.Again, minor issues. Overall I thi…

I made some interesting discoveries, today, about the 737 Bleed Isolation Valve and the pnuematic system in general, both by reading the Boeing Maintenance Manuals and from seeing the real aircraft in action (c/o a fellow engineer). I'm sure it will be of interest to the PMDG developers ;-)I was overwhelmed by the simplicity of the logic behind the operation of the Bleed Isolation Valve:In AUTO, the Bleed Isolation Valve is controlled by the position of the Pack Switches(2) and the Engine Bleed Switches(2). If ALL of these four switches are in the AUTO, HIGH or ON positions, the Bleed Isolation Valve closes. If ANY of these switches are in the OFF position, the Bleed Isol…

Hi PMDG,I've noticed a little problem when flying more than one leg at a time. For the first leg of a flight, this issue is not present. On subsequent legs however, the T/D marker doesn't show up on the ND. There is still the distance and time to T/D in the FMC PROG page, but it just isn't on my ND. Not sure if this has already been reported or even if it's just me, but if not someone may want to take a look at this for the patch if there's still time. :)-Shaun

HiI was just looking through airliners.net and could not find any 737NG cockpits which had the same CRT screen display layout as the one you have for the 737-600/700 cockpit in the screenshots on your site. The 2 pictures below show the 2 737NG cockpit display layouts.http://www.airliners.net/open.file/379873/L/andhttp://www.airliners.net/open.file/297858/L/The first photo has a full PFD on the far left screen, full ND on the next screen to the right, and in the centre has an EICAS display. In the second photo, it is more based on the 737 Classics I think although using a glass cockpit. There is a more split PFD showing a different display to photo 1's PFD, ND split with a…

Is it possible to enter an airport ICAO code on the legs page of a real 737 FMC? (I haven't got one handy to try it out at the moment :-))I'm currently using the PIC database. The PIC 767 accepts ICAO codes, but the PMDG 737 doesn't.BTW, all of our airline's 767/747-400 Company Routes begins and ends with an ICAO code (as viewed on the LEGS page).Thanks.Cheers.Ian.

Can anyone confirm that the modelling of the FPV on the PFD is correct? As I understood it, the FPV symbol should show the inertial path of the aircraft, so that, say, when the aircraft is in straight and level flight (e.g. in cruise), the FPV symbol should sit on the horizon, not on the airplane symbol? If an aircraft is climbing, the FPV should be displayed below the airplane symbol (I can't see how the pitch angle of the aircraft can be less than the actual climb angle...unless the wing is at a very high angle of attack as compared with the longitudinal axis of the aircraft). http://www.geocities.com/pegasusair_tr/aoa.htmWhen following the glidepath, shouldn't the FPV …
