Hi everyone, I am setting up a purely flight simulator based training school to facilitate a real world experience to budding pilots and aviation engineers Air Traffic Controllers etc. I am building a cockpit with image projection on a screen and that will have cockpit panels and controls. Of course the software will be X-Plane 11. I am looking for ideas on the following: 1. Various course durations (like ranging from 2 hours to 3 months or more) 2. What could be the content/ syllabus for these? 3. How could I use the simulator to make…

I have made numerous attempts to download SimtoolKitpro from the developer's website but always end up with a CRDownload file which can't be opened. I have tried just about every suggestion I've found on Google on how to open them - the most common one being to resume the download and everything will be fixed - but nothing works. I do not experience this issue with other downloads so am left wondering what the problem is. Any advice would be most welcome.

Hey, Tried doing some searching but wasn't able to find anything on this particular topic. Really looking forward to X-Plane 12 but was wondering if they had implemented shader based seasonal changes, to go with their new trees? I'm thinking snow and dynamic coverage of terrain, colour changes etc. or is this a topic they have yet to discuss? Thanks

Hello: I was wondering if it is possible to install X-Plane on an external USB SSD? I know it can be "installed" on any disk anywhere, but will it function properly? Also, I would appreciate any recommendations on any particular external USB SSD that would be capable of handling the program...Thanks a lot!

Question to this video at time stamp 14:41 when pressing the OBS button: This works in fact in the original (NON-X-Plane) Garmin530 simulator used in the video. But did someone try this in x-plane, with the x-plane stock - 530 (with stock Cessna 172) ? I tried, but the OBS button does not work in this exact situation. When you are inbound the OXJEF- fix of the hold, the OBS button is simply ignored and NO "SUSP" shows up, and therefore the sequencing continues to the next fix after the holding fix. Same problem with this situation and the OBS/SUSP Button not working in X-Planes 530 Is this a bug in X-Plane , or simply a not …

I've heard that you can edit the nav configuration from the aircraft selection screen. If you can't, is there another way of doing this?

I recently purchased this and am trying to get the GTN 750 as my default GTN. I've been studying the steps to replace the default GTN with the 750. However, I am unable to open the configuration file for the GTN. I also watched and basic utube on loading the 750 for the first time, I am unable to reproduce the steps. All that happens if a pop up 750 appears. The default GTN is never replaced. When I first installed it, there was the initial options in the plugins as previously stated, when I select the GYN 1 and select the 750, all it does is pops open the 750. I am hoping that someone can offer a few ideas on getting it to replace the default GTM. Any help or a…

Running X-Plane 11 with Garmin GTN 750. It was running really well, using CHPro pedals and LogicTect joystick (extreme 3D). Removed the joystick and installed the Honeycomb Flight Yoke. The GTN 750 stays pretty dark. In the lower left-hand corner a very small message says "...reboot" and I never get the GPS. Remove the flight yoke (for which I had downloaded drivers from the web) and back to the joystick. Joy again. But I'd really love to use that Honeycomb yoke - smooth action. I fly the Laminar B737-800 a lot, its my fav plane in the sim. For performance reasons on this old computer (single digit FPS) I cannot use Zibo. Before I take off I set the cruise & landing ALT on the cabin alt panel. Packs = auto, Bleeds = ON Doesn't work - after about 20,000ft the horn kicks off and will not go away. Because it is a FOMOD soundset I cannot dive into the files and remove or mute the horn sound with sound software. So in desperation I got some regular WAV file 737 sounds and use those now. I made the horn volume = 0 with Audacity. So it still activates but at least I cant hear it. So I'm missing out on the nice CFM56 FOMODs. Wha…

I've looked around, and poked around...but does anyone of you reading this, seen any hard landing 'expected' of when it will be RTM'ed?

Any help appreciated -- Flying Coronado PC12 v1.3 in X-plane 11 -- attitude indicator shows REVERSE indication, as rolls to 30 deg RIGHT bank when actually in a 30 deg LEFT bank. I have never seen this in a sim before (and never in real a/c, thankfully😣). Any suggestions. Greg

Hi, I am using a Precision Flight Control (Cirrus II serial console) with x-plane 11. I have a weird problem with the Fuel selector in the Cessna 172. When I load the aircraft, the fuel selector goes on the right tanks. The fuel selector on my Cirrus II doesn’t seem to be configure, so I use the mouse to move it. When I do, it's like the selector arm is spring loaded and always return to the right tanks. I notice that X-Plane also load an aircraft plugin XLua 1.0.0r1 and when I disable the plugin, the selector goes to both tanks but neither the mouse or my fuel selector on the cirrus II can move the selector to the right or left, also the fuel shutoff doesn't work a…

Hello, I have a problem after just getting PACX where the HUD at the bottom of the screen doesn't show up even though I have programmed the binds, any Idea why?

Hi, One of the last versions of X-Plane (between 11.51r1 and 11.52r1) introduced a weird input lag in Vulkan mode. It is hard to describe, but basically causes camera movements to be delayed compared to mouse inputs, even when FPS is rather high. It is quite disorienting and causes perceived FPS to be really low. Basically it feels like persistent and long stuttering. It only happens in Vulkan mode, even with a completely vanilla installation. OpenGL works perfectly fine. Lower FPS seem to make the situation even worse, so add-ons like xEnviro pretty much make Vulkan mode unusable. Do you have that issue too? My graphics driver is up-to-date and every other…
