My bad he wasn't shouting but saying lighting is from 15 years ago , watching a video of a video shot on a video camera well.

😁

That lightning IS from 15 years ago. Probably XP 7 or 8!  I even posted the link in first post to: XP 12 Sneak Peek (Clouds).  It's so bad, like drawn with white lines! 🙄

Yes , i was just mistaken about what your wrote but in a way was also correct and then someone pounces on saying prove your point well...

I think given the way users have watched that video would'nt  say much in terms of quality / lighting , basically a video playing on a computer shot on an external cam , that cause some problems with the lighting.

Hopefully soon they release a direct source vid.

Oh my god, you guys are like Abott and Costello arguing about "Who is on first base?" 🤣🤣

ONE is talking about "lightning" (as in flash of lightning during a thunderstorm)

THE OTHER is talking about "lighting" (as in the light that lights up a room)

Hilarious!

Yeah both lighting are needed in XP 😊

Hi,

Xplane 12 is looking great right out of the box so far! I believe a few plugins will get tossed come next release. Best looking grass I've seen in flightsim.

Hi Mike,

I fell into the same trap of posting that "LOWI" picture - which is actually LOWS Salzburg (of "Sound of Music fame 😉 )...but that is not far from LOWI, and the grass can probably be considered to be of the same "type"!

I agree that these new grass textures look very good - it isn´t "procedural 3D grass" yet, but I think there is a good possibility that we will see that sometime during the V12 run.

Cheers, Jan

Hi,

Never been to Innsbruck so I wouldn't know from looking at the photo myself, with that said... With what I'm seeing so far in XP12, getting harder and harder to sit waiting patiently. Been simming since Microsoft Flight Simulator for the Tandy 1000 computer back in 1985 and with some 3090 cards this is going to be SWEET, seeing the transformation of flightsim  over the years is astounding. 8-)

Mike
