I finally got the stock 737 going in XP 11 and the AP works ok but I couldn't get the climb out on its own. Did I not put it in correctly in the flight plan which I did in Little Nav Map? I want to hit VNAV at about 1000 ft and have it do the climb to 18000 ft and also have it descend via the waypoints correctly on the descent..right into the glide slope..

Hi I've been using first the stable then the beta versions. Everything fabulous. Configured Map enhancement pro/sim heaven and the sim to me is as pretty as MSFS was. So I'm all in. Except, after one beta update weird stuff is going on that makes the sim unflyable. What is the best way to install a fresh (STEAM) copy without having to painfully re-install all the addon sceneries? The planes are easy of course. I have the prefs/controls backed up. ERROR 1: Circle views stopped working in all ac internally. External is fine. The mappings page shoes the hardware joy/pan moving in all directions but wont work at all in sim even after recalibrate …

A treat for small(ish) helicopter lovers - Dreamfoil has released their long-awaited Bell 206B3 Jetranger for XP12. It’s officially in beta ( I think that’s because it doesn’t have a full set of customisable options yet) but already looks and sounds gorgeous and flies brilliantly.

While primarily of interest for Linux users a skillful programmer (StarTuxia) has produced a very clever little program called OXIDE to replace X-Organiser. My reading of it is that will work for Mac and Windows systems as well but primarily it was aimed at providing a program to do what X-Organiser did with Windows systems. Manage, advise and rectify ordering issues etc with you sim additions, aircraft, plugins and scenery! https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/342202-x-addon-oxide-new-release-time-for-people-to-see-how-it-works-for-them-beta/#comment-3001347 The download is actually held on GITHUB, its freeware. Works well for me and sure is a welcome a…

Per the reporter in threshold, the developer has managed to create a program that reads and understands the global airports, procedurally generating overlays that greatly enhance the experience with tire skids on taxi routes, runways, and service roads, additional clutter at gates and near buildings, grunge, oil leaks, rust, and random ramp clutter, yielding a more lifelike experience around every airport in the simulator" This is going to be day 1 buy, actually free upgrade for me. I loved this addon back in XP 11 days that gave a big lift to the ugly default assets.

I have uses Dazzys AI traffic for a while but as of late I decided to try fix some glaring issues, this was a good intro to plane maker, though i have done basic stuff before. Laminar have changed a bit with AI somethings noted some not so ill do my best to explain. This is not for AI traffic addons but that which use laminar ATC etc. 1. It seems that AI no longer call pushback at gates or where needed. Pushback for AI has being problematic for years but I accidentally discovered the cause. 2. This was noted by Laminar quiet a while ago that AI routing on ground will try not to get planes to head but, while not using runways as taxiways, but that is not wha…

I try to stay optimistic on XP12 aircraft … I do … honestly … it’s just release history on XP12 aircraft from developers can be 1, 2, 3 years later or maybe even never (pessimism has been beaten into my XP12 expectations). https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/342643-afl-737-max-dev-update-01312026/ https://www.thresholdx.net/news/afl7m0226 But I really really hope this evolves into reality sometime this year. Thoughts? Real?

With end of life of Windows 10 now official I decided to ditch Windows as an OS for good and put my PC to good use as a dedicated Linux system. Backed up and copied as much as I could of the stuff from XPlane that I thought I would need again and all my Windows generated files docs etc. Made the plunge. I opted for a Ubuntu distribution as it is the system used by XPlane after doing the try a few others. Ubuntu suited my needs and tastes I guess and It has been many years since I worked with Linux and the Old Red Hart system and terminal. So lot of stuff to get used to working in terminal does not worry me at all and I was pleasantly surprised at sheer quantity and variet…

TLDR? Here is the "Coles Notes summary: If you have have either MSFS 2024 SU4 or X-Plane 12.4, then you are living your best flight sim life. If you happen to own both MSFS 2024 SU4 and X-Plane 12.4, then you are living in totally blessed times.

Hi... So, since 12.4 Beta went live, I noticed the altimeter now adjusts itself and prevents you from adjusting it. This is happening on multiple aircraft, but most recently Zibo 737. It no longer allows you to set QNH when given clearance to descend past transition altitude by ATC. Granted, it then adjusts itself to the correct one, but not always! Last flight in Zibo, the left seat one adjusted itself but the right side one kept insisting some pressure entirely different and wouldn't let me change it. What's the deal here? Has anyone else noticed this and is there a way around it? I liked it as it was, giving me control of QNH settings any time.

Hey all, From my understanding, 12.3 includes Terrain Radar natively along with weather radar. Do I still need the old plugin? I believe the new one was incorporated for some airliners? I believe Zibo, Toliss, FlightFactor? I think those are main ones. Not sure about the Rotate jets. Any info? I can't seem to find anything on the web about this. Any help would be appreciated. Apologies if the question has already been answered elsewhere.
