Does anyone know of an update? I have issues logging into their forums wondering if anyone has any info on progress? I think the last info I saw was April.

Here's a screenshot of how the moon looks. Has it always looked this bad? It's very low quality and its pixelated. I have tried installing the updated HD moon from here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=19217 and it still looks the same. Click on image to view actual size.

Reading along the long list that was posted for beta 6, my eyes concentrated over those fixes to the claculations for "plugin-added forces". My guess is that these datarefs were added to x-plane 10 because Austin found that it was the best way to give aircraft devs the way to customize all of the detailed aerodynamic effects, specially for prop aircraft with the overdone torque effect. I posted on this subject yesterday, and not a single person has taken a peek at the post. I can't believe no one is interested in this, so perhaps my title was too vague! I'm brand new to X-Plane, thanks to Justflight's half price offer, so maybe doing something wrong. I spent some time setting up my joystick, pedals & throttle before trying my first flight and all seemed to be OK except that the 172 throttle was reversed, i.e. it was at full throttle when my hardware throttle was at idle, despite me having set the throttle correctly. When I reloaded the 172 the throttle worked correctly. Now I have just 'loaded' the Bell helicopter and it immediately took off and flew around uncontrollably and when I checked its throttle was at full power despite my throttle being at idle. So do I have to set my controls for each aircraft …

Hi all, I have 2 pc's running right next to each other on the same wireless network. is there an idiots guide to get a moving map on the spare pc that does not have x plane on it, but link it to the pc that does have x-plane on it, so it sees my aircraft position etc?

Hi, I've just reinstalled X-Plane 10 as I've been having issues lately, but now after reinstalling and updating to 10.30b5 the sim won't work properly. The first time I loaded the stock sim it loaded and placed me at the KSEA demo area in the Avanti (as expected). However, if I close the sim and reload it, it hangs on "Will init world" every time after that. The only way I have found to rectify this is to delete the contents of the Output/preferences folder and this is not practical as it will mean I have to enter all my joystick/key commands and rendering settings every time I load the sim! I have now installed all of my Aircraft, Custom Scenery and Plugins but the same…

I am starting at the bottom, and trying to navigate based on time and looking out the window. I have gotten better at take offs , slower climbing and turning. Still having trouble keeping the plane flying at a level plain. Use the trim when it creeps up or down which it always seems to do ( Piper Archer 3). LAst night I went onto Skyvector and used CYOW as home airport and then CYCC as Cornwall as I have driven there a ton over the last few years with kids hockey. It gave me a course of 119 degrees (but in bracket 106t) for 27minutes does this mean if I am looking at the compass I should be using 106 as a true direction. I used 119 and could not find the airport , the…

I submitted a bug about it but now I'm wondering if it's a bug with the acft I'm flying.... (Carenado C206) When I try to increase the comm freq's small digits it won't work. It just locks back to the previous setting. I can successfully decrease the value though. Anyone else see this? And have you tried it in another aircraft?

Lately my downloaded real world weather has been so far off. For instance I'm flying near KMSP and the ceiling is broken at 500 but I can easily fly much higher before I get to any clouds.. Anyone else having issues?

What do people think about the statement John Venema made in this interview about X-Plane having no future: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/54187-fsxpage-interviews-john-venema/ I'm curious why he'd say such a thing, and then claim that P3D 2.0 is the future. Surely from a business point of view, P3D has not future, i.e. You can't even buy it in the shops. I can see this remark rattling a few feathers

Hey guys, now that I've upgraded my video card I can enjoy X-Plane 10 a lot more. However, I'm missing my high quality smaller airports since I mostly fly GA. Anyone know of a good freeware or payware source of where to find some quality airports on par with Orbx? Thanks!

So whats the next airport ?? How about an airport in Socal since thats Pilot Edge coverage aria, kvny, ksmo, kbur, kcma, ksba, etc.... You guys did an amazing job with Wilmington International Airport ! Its on par with some of the stuff that Orbx is doing. Regards...........

Actually, it was not funny. It nearly caused me to tear out my hair and I don't have much. Using the default runway/taxi area in my home airport, I built my own airport using the default tools (no OSM) and everything seemed great. Upon landing and turning off onto the first ramp (off 34 KROA if anyone is interested) I stayed in the middle of the ramp and very shortly after entering the main pad, the aircraft hit a wall - invisible. The only changes I had made was taxi lines so I removed them and, on the first landing after that, thought that had fixed the problem, but the next landing proved I hadn't. Nothing there, but a crash. I found that if I hugged…

With a hurricane sitting off the coast of North Carolina, I thought it might be interesting to try and fly through it. Is there a default aircraft that anyone can recommend trying? If now default ac, then I may be willing to purchase something. Thoughts are with those along the coast of NC tonight as well......

Hello all, I'm just getting into xplane and while I was looking for aircraft Peter's A380 caught my eye. From what I have seen and read the systems modeling seem quite well. The main question I have is how is the 3D cockpit. I don't like 2D and if the 3D cockpit doesn't hold up that is a deal breaker. Also is the FMS well modeled because if it is not I will end up buying the 757.

I am still having problems with VOR navigation . I am trying to do some short trips. I can find the airports I want and use an online flight map get the compass settings. I can usually find nearby V OR,stations to set my machine. If fly ottawa CYOW to Cornwall CYCC the only vor station I can see is IinMassena. If I use this how to I get my radial to grt Cornwall . I know ottawa to Cornwall is 119 degrees . Thank you
