Am giving rotors a try, starting with the excellent Hughes 500D I downloaded. Beautiful modeling; however, can't seem to find any instructions on starting the dang thing. Any help out there from you rotorheads? Thanks in advance John

I'm currently on the lookout for a good Airbus but can't decide on which one to get. I've been looking at the JARDesign A320 NEO and Peter's series of A3XX's. Preferably I would like a short-to-medium hauler as I already own the Ramzzess 777 as my main long-hauler. Peter's Aircraft series look really good as all the systems seem to be simulated in great detail, however only his A380 has a VC as an extra option. As much as I understand the idea of only using a 2D panel I just don't think I could fly without a VC. The JARDesign A320 looks OK but I'm not sure about the level of systems depth. How does it compare to the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended or BBS Airbus for FSX…

I haven't seen any mention of this project on these forums yet, but it looks like it might be one to keep an eye on for those interested in airliners. Rotate, a development team of four people (some of whom worked on the ATR 72-500), are working on a simulation of the MD-88. There's some info on their website, but the juiciest bit is the list of features. WIP eye candy below.

Title says it. Im stuck on 10.25. I look at the xplane web site and see how it would be done but xplane updater wants DVD's and as you can see I have no DVD's couse I bought through steam. Lar

Does anyone know if these 2 will work together? I know the previous version of SkyMaxx Pro was able to work by editing a few lines in the RTH scripts. Hope these 2 amazing things work well together.

In the foreshadow of great X-Plane improvements (visibility, haze ect.) I decided to finally commit to the platform with a dedicated machine, after being unhappy with X-Plane performance with my late 2009 iMac 27" for four years. Just ordered a 4.0 Ghz i7K which I am running with a Z87 chipset (easy overclocking possible). Along with a stock overclocked 6GB 780GTX (ASUS STRIX) and 16GB of 1600Mhz RAM, I really hope to make X-Plane, well, fly! The only thing that has been holding me back from trying out X-plane is that I'd be starting out from scratch again as far as scenery and aircraft and whatnot. Are the default aircraft any better than the default aircraft from FSX? I've read that the default ATC is pretty bad and was wondering if there was an ATC substitute out there? Also I'd like to know if there are any AI traffic possibilities?

I got X-plane 10 last week and I am trying to get into it but tere is so many things to hate about it. Its not the flying that is bad, its everything else. The UI is probably the worst UI I have ever seen of any modern games. I am only playing with the X360 controller but I am not looking forward to my X52 coming this week. Its going to be a pain to setup. Its not very intuitive to say the least. The 2nd part I am having a hard time with is the scenary. What's the point of flying if the view is not photo like scenary. I got Mesh V2 HD install and I am looking at photo scenary addons but its nothing like OrbX library. I am sure someone can suggest some better addons …

When I attempt to change the settings on the 747 autopilot I move the Mouse over the relevant knobs and the left and right arrows then show themselves as part of the resultant circle around the nob. However clicking the Mouse doesn't change the settings. I assume I'm doing it correctly as I have no problem changing the Cirrus autopilot settings. Help would be appreciated Cliff

I'm considering buying a new graphics card for XP10 and I'm wondering if anybody here has any thoughts on how significantly my performance in XP10 will change. I'm currently running XP10 at extreme res with a lot of autogen (2nd highest setting for buildings, third highest setting for trees), default roads, static shadows and no water reflection detail (the only difference I have noticed so far is noticeable only when flying close to water... I fly airliners and from FL370 detailed water looks no different than no detail. As a matter of fact, it looks no different to me from 1,000 feet either). My average FPS is 30-50. I have been trying out world2xplane and have downloaded all of the required libraries as outlined in the tutorial. I'm reasonably certain I have everything in the correct location but I keep getting warnings when I launch xplane about the scenery not looking correct. I have noticed that fs cloud started with a new multiplayer for x-plane. Hi All, Really enjoying XP 10 and I'm reading to dip my toes into payware territory.... GA only - not ready for jets yet... but will most likely get the FlyJsim 727 next Leaning towards the Carenado C90 for my first twin - the lighting and features look incredible. Any reason to get the B200 instead? Also would appreciate any opinions on other twins... For singles, I'm considering the the Piper package by Jason Chandler - looks like a great value - contains a mix of singles and twins. Also, the flight modeling is highly praised, notable among them Keith Smith - the founder of Pilotedge, and rw pilot.... Thanks for any feedback.
