Just to shorten the long wait until the release, I have again a "few" (76 to be correct) PREVIEW screenshots taken around the European Alps (Northern Italy, Western Austria, parts of Switzerland and a tiny bit of Southern Germany). I have had X-Plane 9 and also X-Plane Regional--North America for quite some time but have never done much with either program. About 6 weeks ago I upgraded my hardware and did a fresh install of Win 7, 64bit and every thing else since I replaced the m0obo. Yesterday I decided to try X-Plane 10 updated to 10.31. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed. After some flights around my home area, I flew out of JFK and almost immediately had an "out of memory" error. I can fly out of JFK in FSX at max settings with GEX and UTX installed with smooth flights and no problems. Easy to setup external instruments for Android, ideal for home cockpit builders. Just enable Speed and Altitude in data setting, and it connects automatically. Tonight I played a bit with the Carenado PA34 ( Seneca ) already upgraded to version 3.0, and Dan's new approach to the "torque bug". The section used in his prop models is in the Seneca, but commented because it's a counter-rotating twin, so, I used Plane-Maker to make it a CW for both props, edited the LUA script used in the new Carenados and played for a while with Dan's approach and different values for the roll and yaw moments. Overall the results were rather satisfactory, although probably not the best for the Seneca, but at least now I have the proof that indeed, using this "forces" we can fine tune prop effects. They have a lot of free stuff for X-Plane such as OpenStreet autogen and photoscenery. Has anyone tried them out yet? Would like to read up on some reviews if anyone has. Noone ever mentions the only AI Addon available. Was hoping it might have been onsale so I could give it a spin, but I just noticed they have added a demo so going to fire it up. Just wondering how is it outside of the demo.

I had been using XPX last year and loved it. Last Christmas I got the P3D v2.0 Professional from "Santa" and have pretty much been using that (progressively upgraded to v2.4) since the start of this year, with occasional visits back to XPX from time-to-time. I've always liked many aspects of XPX- it's fluidity, the runway contours, and many more advantages including good air modeling when planes are well designed. I use a home-built PC for simming (1080p monitor), and also use it for my XPX l (Win 8.1 / 64 bit). I've been using the default C172 in X-Plane 10, specially after I started using the A2A C172 in FSX and was trying to find some comparison. This aircraft is probably one of the best in terms of modelling the prop effects in the whole default xp10 hangar. I can operate it all accross the valid speed range and get very credible bahaviour. It's also interesting to see some features reproduced in this model that some fsx users found weird when they started using the A2A model. Hello, I've started flying helicopters in X-plane around Lincolnshire, UK and am trying to use RAF Cranwell, Waddington and Coningsby tacan's to navigate my way around. Whenever I enter a frequency into nav 1, and make it an active frequency I pick it up as DME, just not VOR. I personally thought tacan is basically a military version of a VOR, but it seems to me it's more like a DME. My question is am I write or wrong in my theory? Or is X-plane 10 portraying tacans in the wrong way (which I doubt) And also how do the military use tacan to navigate, and how can I start doing this? Thank you very much Conner.

I bought X-Plane on Steam and have been using the 10.30 version since it came out, with no problems (sort of, but that's my PC's fault) Today when I started XPX, it checked for updates, found the 10.31 update and installed it, but now my XPX keep crashing after a short time. I guess it's not possible to go back to v10.30 when it's on Steam? Has anyone else experienced that the 10.31 makes XPX crash?

Somehow, my hometown airport (KFRG) has developed Street lights all over the runways. Not sure when this happened, but Im guessing one of the recent updates did it since it wasn't like that before. I took off the addon scenery I had for this airport, but the light poles are still there. (About 30 of them) I'm pretty sure I can get rid of them by creating an exclusion zone for this airport, but I have no idea how. I ready th eWed manual, but its just not clicking for me. Can anyone explain in laymans terms, how I can create an exclusion zone for this airport? Thanks for any help Rob

Great plane, finally updated to 64 bit and new extra goodies My 1st XP addon from over a year ago, but still one of the best.

Hi all New to XP. Downloaded a couple of osm scenery packs as I thought the scenery was very sparse compared to FSX. I kept reading that you need to make sure that your scenery is in the right order in the scenery_packs.ini file in the Custom Scenery folder. However, it does not matter how many scenery packs I install, that file does not show up. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I like to fly out and into Innsbruck, but there's always some United 747's and some other heavies flying and taxiing around. It's highly unrealistic to have them in Innsbruck, so is there any way to get rid of them`? I can live with the stacic planes as they're the right types and airlines that might fly there, but can they be removed as well if I want to?

I bought the x-plane NA regional installation some time ago, and recently bought the Global scenery disks. I installed some additional scenery, and all was OK. However, when I decided to install some additional world scenery (wanted to take a spin around the South Pacific), for some reason the installer will no longer let me do it. I downloaded the new installer from the website, but it still won't install from the disks. It allows me to pick additional areas, but the amount of disk space needed total remains at zero and nothing gets installed, even thought it reads "scenery updated." I've fished around on Net and read of others having the same problem, but no rea…

10.31RC3 is now out, although I can't find what is fixed as it is not on developer site yet.....
