I got the new Saitek Rino HOTAS system (won it in a contest). Im setting it up in X-plane 10 and have it just about done. Id like to assign the Nav and Beacon lights to a switch on the controller. However, I don't see a listing for it in the Joysticks settings of X-plane. Is there a way to set this using another method? Rob

So from searching, is my understanding correct that XPX real world weather is using METAR data to try and extrapolate winds aloft and not using actual winds aloft forecast data? So something like "plausible winds aloft" to go with the whole plausible world theme?

Hey all, About to buy a new monitor for my new rig. (4790K/GTX980/16GBram) I would like to know if xplane 10 has a option to run the simulator at a resolution of 1920X1200. Is there a option in the menu for 1200 or do I have to edit the config somehow? Also, if anyone runs 1200, how are the letters, are the numbers and letters on the gauges streched and unreadable? Well, I don't know how it happened, (most likely I did it...lol), but my monitor's native res is 1920x1200. After downloading XPX.31, I fired up the sim, and had very bad stutter, extended stop-animation chunk, etc. I thought just to see what was set up on the option screen, and saw that my res setting was 1920x1080x32 WTH? So...I set it back to my native, and viola! My FPS banging at my set 30 FPS limit, and smooth animation. Before doing this, I had been getting a 25-27 max FPS reading with the above mentioned very poor running of the sim. Anyway...check out to make sure you are flying with your native res...and if not...change it to that mode. You mi…

I only have the C172N V3, but I have noticed that the extreme roll tendencies are not there and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed a change in their re released AC? I wonder if they implemented those new counter force controls.

It took several months after Tony made World2XP available to the X-Plane users community that I have finally decided to give it a try. I have been criteriously trying to find the best option to set the best out-of-windshield views for PSX, and there are two options available - XView and ViualPSX. Morning Pilots, So I am thinking of reinstalling X-Plane over the Thanksgiving break. I have a decent stable of aircraft and purchased the SkyMaxx Pro application for clouds, and I have the free application for the use of the Saitek panels. What is the latest batch of must-have mods for X-plane? I intend to fly general aviation around Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. An aircraft that utilizes the new GPS feature would be great too. Also, is there a camera view or application that I haven't discovered yet that enables me to utilize Track-IR without floating all over the aircraft, something similar to FSX or maybe even EZDOK where my position is fixed but I ca…

Hey all, though I keep loading up the default 172, I get frustrated each time. Honestly, I assume it's just that it's a cr@p aircraft; however, I'm certainly hesitant to buy anything knowing I might experience some of the same nonsense such as "locking" bank angles (aircraft seems to snap right into bank position), strange ground handling, constant fighting to keep wings level, etc. Can anyone recommend some good GA aircraft, maybe free to start, that are known to perform really well? I fly a Diamond DA40 & DA20 (steam), Piper Warrior II, C172 and C152... open to suggestions. thanks! Andrew

Hi, I need some help / suggestions. I am using the modified C172SP and also have the Wide panel version too. Now both are SP but they both sound different and I have no idea how the real SP would sound. So I copied all sound files from the Wide Panel in to the modified one but still it plays the modified SP sound even though I have deleted those sound files before copying. Thnx,

On my 50th anniversary a friend sent me his TIR5, which he claimed wasn't using for quite a long while. For me, TIR turned out to be the day from the night when it comes to online MP air combats in IL2 BoS, and also in DCS and Rise of Flight, but I soon found that it also worked beautifully with CondorSoaring and X-Plane, although in XP10 I can get "out" of the cockpit limits using TIR. Any available worth the try profiles for TIR5 and XP10? I am using it without any other pluggin in between. Is any pluggin required for a better experience? Any suggestions really appreciated :-)

Hi i have just reinstalled my os after a very bad graphics / memory problem and wounderd if anyone can tell me, is it safe to install xplane 10 on the same hard drive that has FSX. + rex + gsx + asn I have one hard drive & would love to have xplane 10 on it but i dont know if that was the cause of the upset with fsx & i wouldn't like graphics problems again. thanks for any feedback Tim :Worried:

Hi Guys I have a home cockpit consists of 5 monitors and I use it as a glass cockpit ( draging the panels to each monitor ). Is there an ability to open the OH, PEDESTAL, PFD ND ECAS' S and FMC in any xplane aircraft (standard or addon) and drag it like I do in FSX ? for example, I am very Interest with JADESIGN A320 NEO, can I open and drag at least OH, PEDESTAL, PFD ND ECAS' S & FMC and drag them to their positions in the monitor ? Please any hint, advice anything that would be a very helpful. Thx.

I've been intermittently checking this since I restarted using XP10 with PSX. The first time, around 1 month ago, the Moon showed the correct phase and appeared on the correct place in the skies.... This was not true before... Yesterday I confirmed it again, and decided to run a few tests against FSX, and astro data, and it looks just fine! Was this an undocumented fix on any of the previous updates?

Hi I been flying FSX as long as I can remember. X-Plane 10 is driving me crazy and I dont know what I am doing. Here is some of the questions I have: 1. Mouse - When I move my mouse at the top of the screen, it has become difficult to click on anything. I have to click it like 5 time for it to work. What am I missing here? 2. I have no idea where to start, such as "must have" to get me going. I definitely want to take advantage of the 64 bit rather than 32 bit. I downloaded X-Plane 10 from steam with a 10.30 version. Any help would be appreciated, thanks David
