Hi Scenario is this:- 2 PC's Both have windows 7 x64 ultimate fresh virgin installs. PC 1 is new PC2 is older X-plane is on my USB 3 hard drive as backup, and dragged on to the C: of each computer. So it is an identical copy, with preferences rebuilt on each PC. So basically x-plane 10.31 latest edition is on both PC,s and it is an identical copy from my backup. PC1:- I had the Carenado new V3 plane (multiple ones) , and the xpscrollwheel plugin was crashing xplane. Hey guys, is it just me or does xplane not show clouds above about 15,000 feet? I use Sky Maxx Pro 2.1 and its great but the sky seems eternally empty above FL150.

I need help with opentrack, I have compiled it and can run it but only with Pointtracker (facetracking does not detect the camera) and without the X plane plugin. I have searched but I am not able to get the X plane plugin. Kindly help. Thanks

Hello everyone. I have been playing X-Plane 10 for awhile now. Since I am on a Mac I can't really try out FSX. I've recently watched a lot of FSX videos on youtube to see the differences and I really admit that FSX looks a lot better. I am fully aware that this is because of 3rd party add ons. But even when I am using X-Plane 10 with add ons, it still doesn't compare to FSX. Hi, Just rejoined the flight sim community after many years after finally getting a HOTAS X52 Pro :rolleyes: , i.e. finally got something to use. I have both X Plane and FSX (running on Bootcamp) and have been looking at the Saab 340A payware add on, seems to get excellent reviews and I love loads of documentation to read through and it sounds like its got that in spades. I have a late 2012 iMac as follows and wondered what the performance is like with this aircraft in terms of FPS hit? I am currently using three types of models in X-Plane 10. When I use the Carenados, I use number of flight models per frame = 2, the artificial stability sliders at 0% ( full left ), and the joystick response curves a bit exponential..., I also increase a bit my graphics settings. When I use the XView Boeing 744, meant to be used only as a dumb Boeing model, totally driven by Aerowinx PSX, I set flight models per frame = 1 ( it could be 0 ), and the joystick settings have no meaning, the Sound is set to OFF, time and weather settings are disabled, because everything is controlled by PSX, through the XView plugin... Hi all, Something's gone terribly wrong, I'm having more fun creating airports and submitting them to the gateway than I am actually flying Who knew it would be so addictive to create an airport? I'm slowing learning (and likely abusing) WED and building up to more complex airports. I'm also probably driving Tyler Y. nuts with my constant ICAO requests as I try to populate everything you can land on in my region (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). I ahve come back to XPX after a hiatus of using P3Dv2, and have a couple of very basic questions that I can't see answers to here or on the web- maybe don;t know how to word the query well enough..... Hello everyone! I'm trying out WED to build a airport in Denmark, but I'm having some problems finding orthophotos to help development. I have found an .ecw image, which I have converted to .tiff using ERDAS ER Viewer 14.0. But when I try to import it into WED I get an error saying: "Unable to open image file" Is there any way I can get the image to import or do I need new orthophotos? If so, where can I find them? Hi all. If anyone has Flight1's UK VFR photoscenery, would you mind taking me a few screenshots of some particular areas. I'm adding some small GA airfields and I'm curious just how good this scenery is and how it will blend with the airfields I'm doing. I'm also curious how it works with World2XPlane UK scenery. I'm debating whether to buy it, but it's quite pricey and requires a large amount of disk space, something my small SSD drive couldn't cope with. I have the areas I'm interested in using the Simheaven photoscenery, but I find it discoloured and there is banding. Scotland is particularly bad. Currently I am flying FSX but would like to possibly move to X-plane. Listed in the new Sporty's Pilot Shop catalog is the X-Plane 10 Global for $79.95. When I go to the X-plane web site they have a version for $50 something which is a 64 bit program. I do have a 64 bit computer with win 7 64 bit so should I go 64 or what ever Sporty's has which looks like 32 bit? I only have a Q8400/ 2.8 mhz with 4 gb ram and a ATI 4650 / 1 gb video card. Will either 32 or 64 bit even run on my machine? I have never been able to get the free demo to run very well. I have just thought I did not know how to set it up though. Any ideas as I do not want to get a new computer just to run…

I was reading some recent PC Pilot mags today and came across an article in their "Beginners' Guide to XP" article about "Libraries and Plug-ins". One of the items is a downlod to upgrade the "day and night lighting". It's a file downloadable from forums.x-pilot.com. I navigated to the file location and got a notification that the file is "broken". I'm not sure what that means but figure that it doesn't work correctly.... So, are there any other suggestions for lighting add-ons that enhance the default lights- especially night lighting? Once again, I'm at v3.1 in XPX Thanks, Bruce.

I have converted flytampa's kai tak to xplane 10, but there are 2 issues I'm facing. Everything looks pretty good except I get this layer of haze over the city that I can't seem to get rid of, and the runways at Kai Tak airport don't quite line up correctly, so you see 2 runways. If someone has converted this awesome addon and got it to look right in X-Plane 10, I'd appreciate if anyone can help me fix these issues so that I can use this scenery. Here are some screenshots to show the problems: Runway isn't lining up properly, and if you look you can see a layer of haze/smog above the city that came from the conversion that I don't want.

Hello all,I stopped flying x plane 10 because of this flickering textures problem, very annoying when you zoom in at homes and other texture you get this black flickering texture, No matter what settings it's still there. I've tried it on my pc and Mac pro and it dose the same. I wonder if you guys have the same issue. This is really need to be fixed. Evan Banalian.
