Does anyone know how to turn these lights on. I have looked at all the manuals and all the switches on the panel, but I cannot find it. Thanks for any help. John

I would love to be able to modify my hobart city scenery to get rid of the vey high building and get the yachts of sandy bay road and the ships of f the land and move the tasman bridge to the correct location ( see photo) Can someone please point me in the right direction to be able to edit the scenery file in x-plane 11 hmm Why cant i post attachments??

Hi all The EuroFOX is going to be my first 2017 release, expected to be completed during January 2017. I am upgrading from a GTX 670 with 2GB VRAM to GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM. I have a i5-6800, 32 GB RAM, and m2 SSD drive. Watching the task manager, while flying, my CPU will sometimes spike to 60% but only in very short spurts. Memory is 10 - 15% and disk I/O is below 1%. The same with network. GPU is probably at 39%, spikes when rendering clouds, maybe higher. The same with network. Currently the only FPS killer in my initial testing is the standard XP clouds... I am looking at SkyMaxx Pro or xEnviro. I haven't started down the AI Traffic path yet. Based on the above specs, what kind of performance boost could I expect with the GTX 1060? Thanks!

I just tried the Ortho4XP in XP11 and its wonderful to see the scene as it essentially is. Not perfect, some autogen issues, (elevation issues - I'm fixing as I catch them), but it will suffice. Now real world VFR Charts are finally of some use. The golf courses are there, the layouts of cities and towns etc. match the VFR charts quite well, and yes my "autogen" house is actually there - I could not believe it! I think its time to get out my plotter, Jeppesen Pro Star (it still works great!), some VFR planning forms, and refresh my pilotage/dead reckoning skills. hi guys i am considering buying a 40 inch 4k tv as my main monitor, i already have 3 24 inch 1080p monitors so i can have everything on seperate monitors. these days i am reading alot about people using tv's as a monitor, i found a good 4k samsung 40 inch monitor, i mainly fly x-plane, as far as flight sims, i also play tower3d, planet coaster,gta 5, i am concerned about scaling in x-plane. i was told x-plane doesn't scale well on tv's. any information or experience would be much appreciated. thanks..

After switching back to the W10 Anniversary Edition, from W10 C.U., I did have Threaded Opt as 'Auto'. I decided to play around with this again, so did an A/B rotate from KPGD, and with the nVidia Mask showing Auto, I had 27 FPS. With turning it to OFF in the Mask, I did the exact same flight within a minute, and then had 37...a gain of 10 FPS. So, the debate goes on.....on or off. I'll leave it off in both XP11 and XP10. For my system, I get an instant 33 percent FPS boost with it set to OFF.

Downloaded x plane 11 thru steam on Friday. Did a short flight - worked fine. Added the corenado ac500 on Saturday along with envirox. Did a longer flight with the ac500 - worked fine. Sunday tried to fly had 2 ctds Monday tried again 2 ctds again. I sent in a couple of crash logs for whatever it's worth Today uninstalled xplane thru steam and deleted any files and then reinstalled with no addons. Did a flight and after about an hour ctd. Done with x plane - back to fsx. What a disappointment.

Tried lowering the resolution.. Didn't make any difference to fps... It stayed the same.i was expecting the fps to increase with lower screen resolution...

I use the switches on my CH throttle along with EZDOK to set my views in FSX and P3d. Am trying to do the same in XP 11 but since I can't use EZDOK, what procedure can I use to accomplish this. I know I can set views using Ctrl+Numpad numbers, but I would rather continue to use my CH throttle switches. Jim

in the process of altering my cockpit configuration i clicked on a box called dome projection i now have an annoying notice on my screen which i cannot get rid of reminding me to buy a key and demo time has run out my copy is a boxed set how do i remove it, it remains when the sim is reloaded regards frank cann

Hi, Tentatively dipping my toes in the X-Plane 11 waters. Disappointed at first, but a few problems sorted down the line and I feel much happier! The main one turned out to be Threaded optimisation. I had read many posts recommending it be turned OFF for better performance and to reduce stuttering. Well, that didn't work for me. Low frame rates, and micro-stuttering everywhere both in and outside the cockpit. Nearly decided XP was not for me. I wonder how many of you are aware that Threaded optimisation now appears to be working!? Has given me a very nice boost in frame rate. For the last couple of days, if I run XEnviro, only clear skies show, now cloud formations...even today, when the sound of rain was within XP11. I then switched to XP11 Clouds, and immediately the sky filled with what one would expect. Is xEnviro (servers) down? So to repeat, with it set to ON, no cloud creation of any kind. Anybody else seeing this?

Hi So thought I would try the xp11 demo before buying the full version and was disappointed to find small constant stutters throughout the flight, particularly in turns. I tried the disable thread thingy in nvidia panel and lower settings but to no avail. I have a reasonable system, 4.7g cpu and 1080gtx card so was surprised given how smooth xp10 seemed. Is this a common known issue with a fix or something i'm doing wrong? Thanks

There were some posts about this GPU few months ago, but now, full XP11 being released, can anyone with a gtx 1060 6Gb please share his experience? I know it is far from top class but 1070 costs some $200 more (at least in my part of the world where hardware prices are insane - 1080 is of course science fiction for me). I have an I7 4770K and 16G mem and single 24'' monitor 1920x1200, and one day I would also like to throw IXEG plane in the equation. Is it possible to have decent performance or should I continue to thicken my savings account? Thanks Daniel S.

It does not work very vell for me, most of the time it does not connect to the EFASS server, I have the latest version for the new servers. Just shuts down immediately after start. Is anyone using this program and happy with it?

How can I get rid of the other aircraft? ATC annoyingly chimes in sometimes lol.

Hi all, I need some help. I do not have xp10 but could download the the xp10 demo to get the navdata I was told, but could not find the demo. The instructions they provided for the data was above me so I am not sure what to do . Someone pointed to an existing folder in an xp11 that could be copied and used, but the post was vague to say the least. Anyone have any advice? Thanks Bob

I have Ortho4XP photoscenery of my home area which looks great. I also used Ortho4xp to create overlays based off HDMeshv3. Then I used World2XP to create overlays for my ortho4xp tile using the config-hd.xml file which worked great BUT no autogen trees or houses...only OSM buildings and items. These are all correctly ordered in scenerypacks.ini. THEN I ENABLED SMART EXCLUSIONS and re-ran W2XP...now i have autogen trees BUT - they don't quite match the terrain in many areas (dense trees over an orthophoto school building/parking lot for example). The other issue I have is autogen trees on top of w2xp generated buildings which kinda ruins immersion. So a) is the a wa…
