So... with the 40% sale, I knew the risks, and that the Saratgoa TC II is shown as only being for XP10, but I love this plane in P3D so decided to pick it up for XP11. I read some reports online that suggested it worked fine in XP11. However..... I get a CTD around 30 seconds after loading it in XP11 Anyone know a fix for this? I know in some cases, a value just has to be changed in the ACF file? Thanks in advance for any help.

Was considering buying the Alabeo Beech Staggerwing in the current sale - how good is the XPlane version? I mostly fly P3D but would like a GOOD GA plane for XPlane... Are there any stand-out Alabeo XPlane models? Cheers Keith

Ha! I was such a MSFS word not allowed from the early days. So much enjoyment over the years. Then came along FSW, XP11 and P3Dv4 roughly at the same time. So, I ditched my beloved FSX-SE for FSW and quickly realized it wasn't ready for prime time. So I picked up XP11 and said wow, this is a different sim. Then, just like curiosity killed the cat, I jumped on the P3Dv4 band wagon because the hype indicated it was the cat's meow. First flight...WOW! I recently made the move from FSX to X-Plane and am having serious issues with FPS. Appears that Antialiasing is the culprit, but no idea why the graphics card can't handle more than basically the minimum. I am running no add-ons and It's giving me 13-17 FPS in the stock 737 on the ground at a small airport (best is mid 20's in the air). I've tried all I know and have read, including updating to the most recent driver, turning off the virus software, messing with the Nvidia control panel, etc. I know I don't have the best equipment, but feel that I should be getting much better. I recently purchased a 500 G SSD hard drive just for X-plane. Not surprisingly, it is almost full. I am planning to purchase a huge disc drive to move X-plane files. Question: I am certainly going to move my ortho files to this hard drive and place shortcuts in the custom scenery folder. I assume the main X-plane folder (through steam) will stay on the SSD. Anything else that I should move vs. keep on the hard drive? Obviously the ortho files are the big issue. External vs. internal? Any specific recommendations? External would be easier...

When I login it tells me: An X-Plane update is available! I click on "Update X-Plane Now". It starts updating, then I get the message.The installer has finished downloading. When I click "Update X-Plane Now,"X-Plane will launch the installer and update to the latest version.. I click on the Update X-Plane Now. It begins and immediately gives UPDATE FAILED there was an error downloading the installer. There was an error launching the installer: error 3:-(-1). I click OK and my X-Plane version 11.01 64 bit goes to the opening page. I can plane the version installed, but cannot install the next version. I don't know how to get help. I took off in the Cirrus Jet out of JFK and flew over Boston. I just loved the atmospherics of the flight, the way the ground and the shorelines looked below. Coming up on Boston you could see Martha's Vineyard and then the downtown buildings and Logan Airport 27,000 ft below. It was superb, very immersive, very fluid flight. XPlane's landclass exceeds P3D's I feel, although I like P3D for it's photoreal scenery, I am still working on adding photoreal scenery to XPlane. I have the bin files but I can't get them to see each other. John

I love XP-11, great visuals, great flight dynamics. But for some reason it does not see my AVR8 joystick. P3D has no problems recognizing my joystick. I would manually add the entries into a cfg file if I knew what to do. I use buttons 3 and 4 for my trim in P3d. I've went thru the calibrations several times but the buttons weren't recognized. Flying is maddening without being able to trim my aircraft, are there keyboard shortcuts? John

The other day I was flying the IXEG 737 (current version of XP 11) into Chicago's Midway (KMDW). Default ATC cleared me for a visual landing on runway 31C. I noticed in the approach page of the FMS that 31C has an ILS approach. So, I selected it and punched in the appropriate course heading, ILS freq., etc. The plane intercepted the ILS beacon and turned toward the runway. However, it never descended on the glide slope down to the runway. I assumed that I configured the plane correctly for a CAT III auto land (as I've done it before), but it didn't work. I'm wondering--if ATC says I'll be performing a visual landing, does XP11 disable the 'virtual' ILS beacon such th…

Hi All, Not sure what mode I enabled but I've just looked outside of the aircraft and I see a purple track line, white on the starboard side, black on the port side. It would have been a key stroke, but I do not see it in the menu. Of course ..... ctrl+p :) Thanks - Carl

Cutting a tile is a 2.5 hr affair for me, so I would like to know a good data source for given place of interest before I let my system build the tile. For these: New Zealand Australia South of France and the Mediterraneans (BI?) Asia: Japan, Philippines ? Is BI a good source in general? Is there a technique to check? I.e. use Bing Map and zoom down? Thanks

I would really appreciate if somebody can explain or post a link to detailed tutorial how use satellite photos (google earth, bing or any other map that has high quality pics of Czech Republic) as landscape layer in XP11.

Good morning, evening or night to you all. I have been trying for the last six days to update Xplane 11. I have tried initiating the xplane 11 installer on many occasions and also the built in installer from my installation folder. I am able to go through the welcome process, Update available, Web updater and into the Search for updates. At this stage, the progress bar goes instantly to 25% and shortly after got to contact support ... time out. This has not varied over 6 days now and I feel summat is going wrong.
