Hey guys, Recently I got a new laptop which has 7700hq, 16 gigs ram, gtx 1050Ti (4GB). I downloaded the demo and run it. All default. I could barely see 20-22 frames. So I set all the sliders to the left, turned of everything that might have an impact, still the same result. What could be the problem? I thought I would get a smooth simming around mid settings. So any ideas or recommendations for this issue? Thanks and regards.

I've just started using XP11 for VFR flying and feeder airline flights and am stumbling my way around settings and keyboard commands. I use P3D for airliner and online flying, so am unfamiliar with Xplane settings, I am stuck on how to get XP11 to show bright sunlit days - no matter what adjustments I use it still looks dull and flat (see image). In Prepar3D I can adjust the HDR settings to control brightness. How do I get the same results in XP11 without having to buy any addons. My system is an i7-4790K with Asus GTX1060 GPU and 20gig Ram Any help appreciated Steve

Is there a way to change the shape, or even just rotate, an exclusion zone? I am trying to line one up with a runway but the runway is not simply horizontal or vertical. Right now the only way I can see of doing this is to create a series of small zones along the length, but that is both tedious and kind of stupid. Thanks, Dan

I'm experiencing a very strange issue. Whenever i use either the BtterPushBack or 124th ATC plugin and start in a cold and dark state (engine off).Many of my joystick controls become unresposive after interacting with the plugins, my rudder (yaw) and all brakes. However, when i began with engines on, everything works as expected. I'm running the latest XP11 up and my joystick driver is fully up to date. Any Ideas fellow Captains?

New to x plane and want to purchase IXEG but is it compatible with x plan 11 version? Doesn't say anything on the website.

Is there a way to adjust the pan rate using my hat switch with Saitek yoke?

I couldn´t resist and i did buy the scenery. Unfortunately, i´m not able to successfully download the 2 orthophoto scenery files from the manual (approx. 22GB). The size of the 2 files ("-26+131.zip" and "-26+130 Airport.zip") is correct (16 + 6 GB), but i can´t extract the zip files. So is anybody able to install the extra orthophoto scenerie files from the manual?

I had a fun flight in XP11's glider. After I was towed aloft to 4000 feet near Vegas I just went my happy way, and I banked and spiraled over the farmland. Unfortunately I flew too far from the airport, so I had to look for a place to land. Found a country road with a few cars, I circled until traffic was clear, then I set down on the roadway. Quite a fun sim, because I did not expect to see cars on the roadway! John

Hi friends, I had to completely reinstall XP11, because of some problems. In the previous installation I had Ortho4XP working fine. Tried to move again Tiles and Overlays in custom Scenery, but as you can see in the attached screenshots the result is unacceptable. Attached are also some screenshots of the previous installation showing the big deference. My question is how can I migrate again the Ortho4XP (Tiles and Overlays) which have been already downloaded and stored on my disk. Which one is better?

Hello all, I need some help here. I just installed XP11.05 and went for my hardware calibration and setting before I tried the 172 out. Both my HOTAS Warthog and Thrusmaster Pro Flight Rudder are detected (although I do not have a picture for the rudder). I calbrated my rudder and toe axis properly and assigned the correct axis. But the toe brakes are not working in game.... In the setting screen, all is working ok, axis are moving properly. I tried to reverse but did not help. Is that a known problem? Any fix to be known? My rudder and toe brakes are working fine in XP10 and DCS... Best regards, Pierre also posted on the org forum

After one week working with Orthos4XP I had success with the first 4 tiles of the "Volcano Land". I use to live around this area and it is a beautiful scenery (naturally). The setup is a bit different from the tutorials but in general my major problem was Complex Masks, it gave problems and the game crashed in several different ways. Now I have a question about the foggy image that is displayed as a result of the tiles creation. What should the parameters be to make such correction in Orthos4XP. I want to make it preferable in one pass, it doesn't matter if the tiles already have some different tones, I just want to boost some contrast and color correctio…

Hi..I have tried repeatedly to calibrate and save but can't..It only has 1 axis (left and right). No brakes. Calibrate but it won't save and constantly comes up as uncalibrated. Any help appreciated. Has anyone been able to get good orthophotos for Catalina? I have downloaded with Ortho4xPlane both from Bing and from Google both times Catalina is covered with empty tiles, the tiles have a picture of a camera in a circle with a crossbar, the whole island is covered with these empty tiles. Previewing the downloads shows the island and it looks OK in the previews. The rest of Los Angeles is fine.

Well, not sure what have happened, but after recovering from CTD, I have my view tilted, mean when resetting view in the Cockpit it is kind of tilts to the right, left side is higher than left side...... very weird Any thoughts ???

Good Morning Gents, I have a buyer lined up for my Asus GTX 980 TI STRIX and have been pondering about which card to upgrade too. I was looking at the MSI 1070, I have done a fair bit of research and performance wise both cards are pretty similar but the 1070 has an extra 2GB VRAM which would give me some more headroom when using photoreal scenery (Ortho4XP). The 980 TI can handle X-Plane but I find I get very close to consuming all the onboard 6GB VRAM. I would love to hear from any 1070 owners that have a similar setup to mine, is this a good choice or is it worth spending a little more on a 1080? I would love a 1080 TI but price wise it is pretty expensive a…

Looks like Philipp Munzel really cares about details. He's doing a nice job with X-Plane systems: GPS, G1000, and now gyros. http://developer.x-plane.com/?article=modelling-remote-hsis-and-slaved-gyros-in-x-plane-11-10 I have never seen this attention to quality and details in other areas of X-Plane. Maybe Philipp should begin studying flight dynamics so that LR could put him in charge of flight models and ground physics.

I have downloaded latest demo of XP11 and configured it to send coordinates (Settings - GPS Hardware - NMEA Moving Map - COM 2 refresh rate 2) on a virtual COM 2 connector, which I setup with a free program called VSPE. https://ibb.co/cOgCb5 It works, but it gives me wrong coordinates. I have loaded at ULLI airport on 28L but the Jeppesen FliteMap detected my aircraft somewhere to the left in fields. When I load myself on 28R I endup right on 28L.
