I am trying out the ATC in XP11. File a flightplan from ESGP. ATC gives me taxi instructions to stop at runway 01 and then cross it and after that going to the start of the runway. Then I am cleared for take off which I do. Then during the take off run ATC tells me again to cross the runway. After the take off I am told I have violated ATC instructions ??? Also when filing a flight there are no mentions about VFR or IFR like in FSX. Are there any alternative to the built in ATC ?

Hey there, so I was just going to hop on for a good night in X-Plane 11, and everything goes well (the startup) until I actually load into the game. The first time I loaded up in a 172 G1000. But the scenery was all flat! So I decided to takeoff to see a better view of the scenery and this is what I got, it is all flat. I tried to look in my scenery folder to see if anything was good, but it was alright. I've never had this problem before, and it's only been a day since I've played and I've done nothing to make this happen. Here are some of the screenshots I got. P.S. The 2 screenshots were all at different airports...I tried Miami, the same thing, I trie…

Hello, I'm interested to know what folks are using for your Field of View settings and what you find to be the most realistic please. Flying only small aircraft low and slow using a 43" 4k monitor, I'm happy with around 93 Thanks Phil

So, i recently decided that i wanted to purchase xplane 11, but before i decided to check the demo, since my sistem isn't particularly good for flight sims, or that's at least what i think. I ran the demo with medium-high ish graphics and it went fine, around 30-40 fps Great! then i purchased xplane 11 via steam, and it recently finished downloading, so i boot it up and crashes when i load my flight. And that's basically what happens, the only way i made it run was putting everything on the worst possible setting, and it ran around 70 fps. But anytime i change anything, it crashes. I already tried rebooting my PC and disabling threaded optimization in the nvidia cont…

I have a Logitech X56 HOTAS, which I've already calibrated with the X-Plane 11 calibration tool. X-Plane had a built-in profile for an X56 HOTAS. When I throttle up dual-engine planes, it yaws so badly it looks like it is doing donuts. Any idea how I can set-up the HOTAS and fly a dual-engine plane, without it yawing uncontrollably? Another thing I'm having trouble with is getting helicopters off the ground, with the X56 HOTAS. I throttle up and nothing. I'm stuck at the very first part of the helicopter tutorial: pulling the collective control up to get in the air. The tutorial said the HOTAS throttle will work, but the throttle on my HOTAS ain't doin' nothin'. Sing…

I am presently testing "X-Plane Advanced Settings 1.0.0" downloaded from the .Org, but there are other tools available like: - Rendering Options for XP11 1.0.4 - Advanced Rendering Options plugin for X-Plane 11 2.15 Which one do you recommend, and if possible why compared to the other options ? Thanks!

Summary: .) Exhaust thrust in turboprops is now modeled (can be set in plane-maker); .) More accurate modeling of wake turbulence, also for AI aircrafts; .) More accurate modeling of the interaction between propwash and airspeed; should especially effects aircrafts in crosswind and VTOLs; .) Improved modeling of helical propwash and its interaction with tail surfaces; .) Improved modeling of washflow through rotor disk; effects helicopters and VTOLs; tuned using flight test data of the experimental VTOL Austin is working on; .) Modeling the delay in downwash from wings to stabilizers; should make aircrafts less sensitive than they are now; (a…

I changed the monitor a few days ago to a monitor with G-Sync function. But it's broken and I can get a refund. And that's why I am asking for help. - I need a 27 "monitor (it can't be bigger !!!) - definitely G-Sync (I checked and it makes a big difference) My question is basically about resolution. Is HD (1920x1080) or QHD (2560 x 1440) ??? Does buying QHD with 27 "make sense ??? Can you see the difference in image quality in XP ??? And won't it lower FPS in XP ??? Just the difference in price between HD and QHD is significant, so I wonder if it's worth it: if the QHD image quality will be much better than HD ??? (4K I do not consider bec…

I know there are many weather engines for X-Plane that are designed to represent the current weather as accurately as possible in real-time. However I'm not looking for real-world weather, but rather a configurable semi-random weather generator. Basically I want to be able to choose roughly what the weather is going to be like, but not details like the exact height of each cloud layer, the wind direction down to a single degree, the exact temperature and so on. I still want to be surprised by the weather (maybe the wind is slightly stronger than expected, it's hotter than I thought, or there are some rain showers even though I selected a warm summer day, and so on). When …

New user here. FSX has an option to Snap the view back to front facing. This is is great because you don't have to try and recenter the view by using the hat switch. I couldn't find something similar in X-Plane 11. Does one exist and if so what is the assignment called? I have an EDTracker and X-Plane 11 recognizes and even responds to movements in the calibration screen. However, that stops once I open the flight screen. I know that I can use something like OpenTrack, but it appears that X-Plane natively supports the device. I'm just not sure why it doesn't respond once out of the calibration screen. Thanks, Ernie

I constantly see post from simmers who rave about the night environment in X-Plane. I mostly agree with them as takeoff and landing in the cover of darkness is a true pleasure in the sim. I can't compare the experience to FSX or P3D because I don't remember doing much flying at night with them, I mostly avoided it. However, with XP I often will bid on flights that take me into the night. So, I guess that's a testament to the sims features. But.... While takeoff and landing are great , cruise in darkness in X-Plane is kinda wacky! First, the issue with "moonshine" in beta is bothersome enough (I'm thinking they will fix that). The more irksome issue is the nume…

Good evening all! As the title suggests, my XP11 takes up to 30 minutes to load up at a UK Airport. I assumed this is because I have ORBX True Earth North, East and South; along with several UK 2000 and Orbx Airports. I'm operating Windows 7 64bit with 16GB RAM and NVIDIA 60MSI GTX1060. At All other worldwide airports it takes between 3-7minutes- which I can live with. I do acknowledge that I have a numerous airports, aircraft and plugins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
