Hi there :-)I am going to be getting a new FX card soon. At the minute I am using a Geforce 3 64mb card. I'm really not sure what card to get so im asking you guys to help me out, please? ( thanks ;-) )I was thinking about the 128MB Radeon 9100 but from the site im (may) order it from (crucial),it says that i require an AGP 2X or AGP 2X/4X universal slot. Im really not sure if i have an AGP slot but i know for a fact that my Geforce 3 in at the minute is in a PCI slot. My computer is a Dell Dimenson 4100, 933mhz, 512ram, 30gb h/d. I have know idea about the mobo so im not sure if it has an AGP slot available...If possible, does anyone know where i could order a Radeon 910…

Out of interest, if there is anyone who uses a GeForce3 and has not tweaked with Riva Tuner, played around with the best drivers, etc I can put together a little guide if you are interested that will supercharge your FPS whilst also getting rid of the dreaded blurries. This would be for those who have never tried tweaking GeForce3's - and would serve as a helping hand for the uninitiated. If you are interested, post here and if there is enough interest I'll put together a little article for you. This may help some people.Just my (small) way of giving something back to the community!Warm regards,Andrew

Fan died on my GeF/2 TI--Still functional, but I know it is a matter of time. Had to go with a budget card, so I tried the 9200...thinking the Radeon name would make it at least equivalent to the 2/TI....Not even close. Typical FS2002/FS2004 scenario--aircraft with reflections, anisotropy and AA:20 fps with GeF 2/TI15 fps with Radeon--and the AA had little visible effect.Another sim I enjoy--NoLimits Coaster:25-35 fps with a coaster I created and the GeF 2/TI15-25 fps with the 9200, same coaster...The Radeon had a clear and sharp display, and supported water reflections in FS2004 with no fps penalty--and 128 megs of RAM vs. the TI's 64 megs. But that wasn't enough to m…

My specs are in my sig. My RAM setup is 2x256 mb sticks in slots 1 & 2. Do you think I will have trouble adding a 3rd stick of 512 mb in slot 3 or 4(doesn't matter....) I have heard of stability issues with VIA chipsets and more than 2 sticks of RAM, especially mismatched sizes...Any thoughts?

Hi everyone!I posted the same message in the general discussion forum aswell, not sure where it belongs.Anyway, here is my problem:It seems FS2002 can't play any 4 bit audio files (wave files)! No ATC is played and the aircraft, which have 4 bit sounds, have no engine sounds! This applies for the default 737 and the Lear 45.Strange thing is, is that I have a second copy of windows on my harddisk and there all sounds are played (from the same FS2002 installation!). I tried reinstalling FS2002 but that didn't help either. Then I tried reinstalling my sound drivers, which also didn't help. I reinstalled directx9.0 and as that didn't help either, I installed a different sound …

Hello fellow simmers,My system is as follows P4 2.4 533FSB, Soyo 4XAGP MB, Radeon 9500 128mb, PC 2700 512mb, 160G HD.On anticipation of the release of FS 2004, and the new PMDG 737NG.Buy 737NG!!:) I'm looking at up grading the video card to the Radeon 9800 pro 256mb or 9800 pro 128mb. What should the differences be with regard to FS. The price gap is widening 128mb can be bought for as low as $280, while the 256 is dropping to $475. Also I only have 4X AGP, I have heard 4 X is same as 8X is this true or should I get an ASUS MB with 8X AGP.Should I upgrad to 1gig ram?Any advice would be appreciatedRegards,BillyBooob

I have read many threads and commerical reviews that say 8x agp is no faster than 4x. My question is upon upgrading video card am I going to be wasting that horsepower by not have an 8x agp mb. It it alot of work and money to switch over. PLEASE PLEASE Respond.Thank you..Billy BOooob

Hey folks,I USED to have Kazaa installed on my XP Pro system and have removed it. It apparently left a P2P program on the PC. When I go to remove it, it says that something called ASM needs it to run. Before I remove P2P, what is this ASM ? Can I remove P2P safely without any repercussions ?Thanks in advance,P.Z.L.
