Good day/night simmers. I need some input here. This is the problem;2 x HDD1 x DVDRW1 x Combo driveI have found a PCI addon card for IDE connector. I have managed to install the card and the other HDD. My machine will boot up but in the startup screen it says that the ULTRA DMA IS NOT SET. Is it possible to add another HDD with that card inserted? How do I set ULTRA DMA? Thanking you all in advance for the advice that I am going to receive.Corrie.

For the last 6 years when I thought I needed a faster computer to fly FS2004 I just bought the most expensive computer I could find hoping that is was the biggest and the best and I think it was. Now I only want to upgrade the last computer ( A ABS with a 2.61 CPU). I want to try the 3 monitor set up but I really don't know where to start. Would some one that already has a 3 monitor set up with the required hardware to run it nice please let me know what I need. This will be to fly FS2004 only. Thanks jerrycwo4

Dear AllI would be grateful for any comments on Solid State Drives which are now being offered (albeit at some considerable cost!)by some manufacturers such as Alienware. Currently the maximum drive is 64 Gb though you can go to 128 Gb on a RAID array. No doubt the prices will fall as the 128 Gb drives appear next Spring. Is there a sufficient bottle-neck on hard disks to justify the cost?RegardsStewart

I need some advice. My system is P4 3ghz with 2 gig ram, 256meg 7600GT. All I do with this is run FSX and net. It is my understanding that upgrading to new motherboard and CPU I will see big performance boost in FSX. I know just throwing a bigger graphics card in will not do it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I plan to keep my 2 gig memory and video card.....on a small budget here. CPU and motherboards would be appreciated and noticed TIGER Direct has some good combos but need some recommendations. By the way my FSX runs good for the system i have. Thanks, Randy

On the CH yoke, what does the serrated-edge vertical wheel generally map to on FS9 aircraft. Also, it is very hard to rotate. Is this just peculiar on my yoke or is it like this on most of the CH yokes? Thanks.Roger

I have a 32" monitor that has a very good picture. All I know is that I set my resolution to 1360x768x32 which is fine. Is there any settings I can work with to get the ultimate from this monitor other than just setting the resolution?Tim

Hi all, I just installed a Sapphire X1950Pro 512MB AGP card on my system that used to have a Nvidia Geforce 6800GT. I notice now that I have major blurry textures and jaggies even though I have 4X AA set on the control panel. I have it setup just like I had my 6800GT card but the textures dont look as sharp and I have no AA. Any advise? Im new to the ATI cards.Thanks,Bill

Hi,Purchased a Yoke and Rudder set 2 months ago. When I fly, it pressed buttons by itself, so I find myself changing view randomly and lowering my flaps and gears without me pressing anything. My configuration for these functions are as follows:- "Cycle View" are on yoke buttons A1 and A2- "Gears" are on throttle quadrant T1 and T2- "Flaps" are on throttle quadrant T5 and T6Anyone else have this annoying problem? HelloI just upgraded to a 8800GT from a 7950GT. I am running Vista 64 bit and FSX SP1 with two monitors.After installing the 8800GT I have downloaded and installed the latest released nVidia drivers, 169.02, for the GT.Unfortunately, whith these drivers when I run FSX in full screen mode, I get bad texture corruption or a completely garbled screen. FSX runs fine tough in windowed mode.is it a common issue with forceware 169.02? After owning this well balanced controller for just over 8 months now, and have some observations to share with the Flight Sim community. When I purchased it, I was very impressed. Great looks, good feel and positive feedback from the spring loaded stick. The throttle controls were very responsive, as was all the other controls on the controller. All this for a meager $18.99 at the local Best Buy!As soon as I began to get things set up for FS9, I discovered that the center "Mode" switch did absolutely nothing. Hello all - hope someone out there can help me.I have a CH products yoke, which I have used with no probs for about 2 yrs.Recently I have been having some problems (which may not be related to the yoke specifically)Sometimes when flying the a/c leans - banks to the left - the vc yoke is leaning to the left, and although pressing the no 5 levels the ailerons, the monent you use the yoke again it leans once more.On the ground the left aileron is visibly in a left banked position.I can sort the problem by recalibrating the yoke, but the problem is still there on an intermittent basis.Any suggestions?Is it that the yoke is sending the wrong signal?The little box with the movi…

First, I want to thank everyone that contributes to these forums. I've learned a lot, but have a ways to go....Our video card went bad and was just replaced with GEFORCE 7600GS card. I have found suggestions for settings in this forum and to me, everything looks great (better) so far, except now I have a rainbow or water color effect in aircraft landing lights. Also, clouds are not rendering properly and I'm seeing the color effect there as well.I'm guessing it may be a setting issue and can hopefully be easily resolved. Ok I gotta kind of a problem here. When I start up FS9 everything loads up, I get to the set up screen where I select my aircraft ect... but when I go to click on any of the tabs in that window FS9 stops and I have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and it keeps saying its Not Responding. I have tried a few things like deleting the FS9.cfg but nothings working yet. If anyone could help me out it would be great!
