Hi guys, this is on order now should be with me next week, Plus the Gtx 560 ti i already have and the psu i have, hopefully this should be ok.I will add more obviously in the future (i.e hdd sdd) but for now hopefully this should be ok..This is to run flight simulator X by the way :D

The title says it all...I've got a GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 motherboard and Antex 902v3 case setup. I will be overclocking this rig and would like some opinions on a high end CPU cooler that will fit in it. So please advise and thanks!Mark

HEy guys, Finally finished my first ever build yesterday with the help of a few good youtube tutorials. But when it was time to install the drivers, thats where the tutorials failed me and I'm worried I didn't do that part right. I managed to install the LAN driver, connect to the internet, and download my video card drivers from Asus's website. The 3 files were in zip format but when I tried to install the first one a message came up saying it couldn't find a certain DLL, and therefore couldn't install. The second and third files also could not install either for different reasons. So I just popped the cd for my video card in and installed them that way. After rebooting …

I tried starting up my computer and it shut off in about 3 seconds, it did this twice in a row then started then came up with a sign that said overclocking failed press f1 to go into setup. I did and didn't change anything and noticed my cpu voltage was 1.38 something and in red... what is my max cpu voltage suppose to be with my system specs? Is this a sign up something going wrong/failing? I'm looking to slowly build a new machine over the next few months and want to get opinions on the tower I've selected. One of the most appealing features of this tower is the power being located at the bottom instead of the top. This seems easier to work with; however, my concern is the obvious issue of heat rising. I think it's time for me to make the step, and leave FS9 for FSX. I reallt want to fly the new 737 NGX. In order to do this, I have to make some updates to my computer and switch from AMD phenom to Intel sandy bridge. Just about to build my computer and was reading through the MB manual regarding installing windows. I have two Cavair Black drives, one for the OS, one for FSX and I would like to know if I need to enable ACHI or IDE for these drives ? I will not be running a RAID setup. thanks,Mark.

Hello guys, I'm planning to buy a new machine (FSX + paywares) and i still have some doubts. About RAM, is it enough 4GB? Will I get a noticeable performance boost if I pick a 2x4GB kit? Same question as above but for the CPU, will it be a core i5 enough or should i go for a i7? (i'm a bit short of cash) The last one about the motherboard...what model should i pick? Getting these since i installed the NGX although i have had them before. Basically once you minimize the screen (to use 3rd party app) in ANY way will cause a black screen for me that will not restore unless the sim is restarted. Hi guys (and one lass) I've ended up in this, rather nice, situation that I have to go to Istanbul, Turkey for 3/4 of a year to fly the Airbus A320 range. So since I cannot take my computer with me, I need a laptop. I have been seaching around and made up some requirements. It has to be sturdy as I may have to use it in the cockpit. It has to run FSX and the NGX. Musn't be to big and to heavy. Screen size 15,6". Ok I just got everything up and running a couple weeks ago and it's fantastic, but I'm having a small issue. Every so often, and only for a split second, I'll get a flash of black/white where a texture should be. I've had it happen in the sky or on the ground, almost like a section of the texture gets "lost" for a split second. I have W7 and FSX tweaked per Nick N's guide, used the Bjote tweaking tool (I have back up .cfg's for default, normal tweak, conservative tweak, and default with just Nick N's suggestion from the thread), and have Inspector set per Nick N as well. Regardless if I change the .cfg back to default or pick another one, I still get the same issue. …

I suppose you're going to tell me I need to experiment with the individual motherboard and CPU that I have. That's fine because I have no idea what settings to even try to tweak anyway. The last thing I over clocked was my heart and that was only when I saw Phoebe Cates in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". So needless to say, any help would be greatly appreciated. FSX gurus, I have three systems @home the main is system is already in my sig and the other two are Sempron 3300+ 2 GB 160 GB and the third is a P4 Prescott 2.8 2GB 80GB had a LCD display which went kaput so currently limited to a single 17" centuries old crt screen. The sempron is running my Linux server for emails / Ipsec / firewall / junk control.The p4 is lying idle. Not sure which hardware forum this should be in, but I ended up here since it is "other" :) I am looking for a new headset. The requirements are:- Lightweight- Open- Preferably felt and not leather/plastic on the earphones. - It should be possible to mount the Trackir Trackclip Pro on them. I currently use the Logitech G35 headset, but they are too heavy for me, and I do not like the closed type. I was thinking about the "Sennheiser PC163D Headset", but saw a review on youtube that said that they pressed on the ears, and this was a problem if you wear glasses.
