are there any freeware addons for it?

Hi,I am using FS2004 with the Ground Environment add-on. This is the only scenery add-on that I have installed besides additional airports. What should I set the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL to be? I have been using 21 as a setting but I am not sure if this is correct. Thanks in advance for the answers.

Hi,When flying the now free RFP, did anyone have problems with the twitchy and almost uncontrollable a/p in FS2004?When I us it, its often nose diving or sharp climbs.. Hi folks :-)Looking at my Document Settings/Aplication/Microsoft/FS9 folder I have my FS9.cfg file plus a FS9.cfg TXT file, Scenery.cfg and a Dxdia Xml.Was thinking normaly you only have a FS9.cfg, why the Fs9.TXT and Scenery.cfg, thought this one resided only in the main Fs9 directory....?thanks for any advice,cheers,Steve

Hi everyone! Iwonder if someone has FS Build so that they could help me. When you go into a aircraft performance file it says in there the following:fuelburn=1fuelburn=2fuelburn=3Now can someone tell me what the numbers 1,2, & 3 represent? I assume they hv to do with climb,cruise & decent but which of these belong to which nbr. I've tryed the FS Build forum and just get a runaround. I might go to jail for the nasty topic I just put in their forum Tim :-)

I'm curious if you'll get better frame rates using Nhancer settings versus the default Nvidia video card settings for FS9?I replaced my Radeon 9800XT with a Nvidia Geforce 7950GT and even though the card is supposed to be faster, the frame rates seem to be about the same or even slower than with the older card, especially with clouds being rendered. Could this be related to the AA problem with Nvidia cards and FS9?Kim

help please, due to an over eager attempt in clearing rubbish from my computer, I inadvertantly deleted fsm 2.8.5., I have downloaded the version now on offer, but it is novice only and tries to load some other program with it, the original version worked perfectly with putting the clock back.Now can anyone send me a copy of their original in a zip please.Thanking you:-fume

A couple of years ago, whenever I came within 50 miles of Orlando, I crashed to desktop. Everytime, not just occasionlly. I narrowed it down to a scenery of KORL Orlando exec by "Shez Ansari" I simply deleted the scenery and all was well with the world. Years have passed and I'm in the middle of rebuilding my FS9 on a new computer. Being old and forgetful, I installed this KORL again. Sho nuff, everytime I get within 50 to 60 miles of Orlando, into the Dumper I go. There's nothing to do in FS anymore. I used to enjoy learning a new complex airliner but nothing really groundbreaking has come out for 2 years. Anything good is still months away and then the subsequent delays will kick in anyway. On top of that, FSX has split the market and now companies like PMDG are having to create 2 versions of the same product, stretching out development time even further. This really is a terrible hobby for people like me that need something new every so often to stay interested.

Is there a maximum altitude that the FS9 AI planes can fly to? I have most of the heavies flying at about FL 360 or 370 but for my F-18's, Concorde, and high altitude military planes (B-52, etc) I'd like to go higher. Appreciate any feedback I can get so I can set more realistic altitudes.

HI all, I have a problem with the ifdg md11.I am unable to shutdown the starboard engine.The switches on the throttle quad read cutoff ,the port side and rudder engines shutdown but not the starboard one.It doesnt matter which repaint of this model i use,the problem is common to all of them.Please help ! ive had the eric-cantu emb-120 for a while now.. and i love flying it.. but i was wondering.. everytime i press the key for spoilers that i have set... the aircraft slows down in mid air like if it had spoilers.. but i dont see anything that look like a spoiler anywhere on the aircraft... is it just something wrong with model.. or do the emb-120 actaully have spoilers?

Hi im trying to figure out what one is better. I dont have time to install AI plans myself so i need packages! I have a a new mackbook pro its pretty powerful 2.2ghz chip 2gb ram 128 6800gt so i think it will handle ai fine in fs 2004. Just wondering which one is better!

i have a problem, i set up for the flight CYYZ-MUHA and when the plane is around 30000 feet something happens that fs9 crashes, it either gives an error msg or just restarts the PC...my pc specs areevg 680i motherboardcore 2 duo 2.13ghz2GB DDR2 1066MHZ OCZ3 Hard Drives2 DVD +/- Burners8800 GTS Superclocked 320MB video card...so i dunno wat the problem is cuz its hard to think that its caused by the hardware...now im doing the flight in windowed mode, i also downloaded the 9.1 update and installed it as well...so far im at 33k feet and nothing has happened...i will post back what happens...if anyone can help id appreciate it..oh, FS9 is not installed in Drive C, i have it …

HI i installed world of AI today and i cant get it to work. I installed everything i have the installer and the tools thing. Then when i download an airline package i install it with the installer with the package being in zip. format and everything works fine. After that everything looks fine it gets added to my aircraft folder and it gets added to scenery folder and it is in the compiled section of the tools thing. But when i start fs2004 i only have default traffic anyone know why this is? Am i doing something wrong?

Hey Guys,I have the FSHotseat program and really liked everything about it except the robotic voices. Anyone here try and replace the robotic voices with AT&T voicepacks? I'd gladly purchase a couple voices to replace Mr. Roboto!Eric

I have to say, for the most part flight sim has some pretty nice daylight effects and can look pretty real at some points but the night time textures suck hardcore!!! The clouds, the aircraft, and the tarmac all seem to stay lit up for some dumb reason..when you look out on to the wing on a night flight you dont see the wing really..Does anybody know of any fixes for these unrealistic textures? Maybe i would start flying at night.. thanks

I would be interested in having a complete set of the Photorealistic Chile by David Ventura Chamudes but I do not want to download the hundred odd files that comprise this package. Too much hassle.Is there someone out there who has downloadeded the entire set of files could put out a torrent or two similar to the launch of the Netherlands 2000 version 3.0 to ease the pain of acquiring this scenery package?OR How about AVSIM compiling the scenery into 3 or 4 larger files for easier download.
