Hi!I

I was on a flight the other day from KLGA (New York) to KBOS (Boston) and when I arrived at the western part of Mass. I saw the missing textures in the landscape below. It lasted until I reached the western end of New York (State) and then it stopped. Anyone else have missing textures in this location of the USA? jerrycwo4Sorry about the "multiple" attachments. The upload kept saying the "jpeg" was too large and I kept making it smaller, then "it" uploaded ALL 3 of them ?? I was able to delete jpeg #3.

Hi everyone, I've been away in the South Atlantic for the last four months. I arrived home this afternoon (after a very long flight home from the Falklands Islands via Ascension Island).What have I missed in the FS world since the end of May? Any releases that have caused a stir? Also, as someone who still uses FS9 as their main sim, anything interesting happened with FSX in recent months?Cheers!(planning to trawl through the last four months of posts after I've got some sleep :) )

They just released CYEE (Midland/Huronia) and Terrace Bay CYTJ (as well as a landclass for all of Ontario). I'm downloading and plan on poasting some shots later as I'll take the A36 out for a spin this lvely afternoon...... I can't imagine the time and effort that goes into making these works of art. Thanks to the Flight Ontario team for making Ontario such a cool place to fly in FS9. Also thanks to AVSIM for hosting so many cool things.

I need a change of scenery, so I'm off to Europe for awhile. Could anyone suggest a good source of real world routes between European destinations. I flew on some event in VATSIM,extremely busy,around 20 planes in the air holding around the airport(EGLL)when I started my approach to the airport,i received the following message:"Your computer has run out of available memory. Flight Simulator will now exit.You may not have enough free space on your harddrive. Run Disk Cleanup to free up hard disk space, and try running Flight Simulator again."I had the Task Manager open on the other monitor and the data was that I had 1400Mb of memory in use from 2024 MB.and the CPU was around 40-50%(E6750).Concerning the disk space,In the partition that the simulator is installed I have 149GB free,on the windows partition I have 72GB …

Just installed FS2004 on a new PC (Q6600 @ 3.4GHz, 8800GTS, with Vista Home Premium). Full screen mode was fine, but switching to windows mode was a disaster. As soon as I changed the direction of view the screen froze with the instrument panel still occupying the bottom half of the screen. I tried all the usual reinstall, latest NVidia drivers things without success - then I dimly remembered someone here saying Vista Aero gave him a problem. I removed it and all now runs fine. I don't recall seeing any warning from MS about this incompatibility - or is it just a feature of my machine setup?For what it's worth, FS2004 now runs out of the box at 300+ fps during cruise i…

guys how do you deal with the poorly headed approaching vectors given by ATC whenever arriving at your destination airport? I mean, these vectors really take you off-course and they delay you more than help you.. i've got RC 4.3 but i don't use it quite often because i don't really like stand-on-their-own software but FS modules. so, how can i do? get some approach plates? completely ignore ATC? specifically, how do you guys do in your FS flightime?thks in advance

Since I migrated to Triplehead, I can only use virtual cockpits on my LCDs which has wiped out 90% of my freeware FS2004 fleet.Can anybody recommend a good 737 "classic" (i.e., -200, -300, and -400 models) cockpit panel in VC mode that I could use ?Thanks!JS

I seem to have developed a problem with FS9. I am confronted with this when I try to run it. I have no idea what is causing the problem. It ONLY appears in FS, all of my other games are fine. I have re-installed FS several times to no avail and I've checked that my graphics drivers are the latest official drivers.Could someone suggest what might be wrong.Thanks

Hello,This is my first post on the avsim board, I am very excited to be apart of the community.I bought MSFS 2004 about a month ago, I am loving playing it. I also picked myself up a Saitelk coborg evo joystick the other day. Anyway onto the topic. I would really appreciate a list of the best regarded add-ons for MSFS 2004. Aiming at making the game as realistic as possible. For example I want the sky's to be filled with real airline traffic/flight plans. Or making the airports look better etc. So what are the essential freeware add-ons for any MSFS 2004 player, in regards to Australia and the rest of the world?Thank you very much for your time.

Hi to all again,i had spend some time looking and looking and i had searched somethings about my fs9 sound problem.Not only the ATR sounds are "not listened",some airplanes are ok and other ones not,and i had reinstalled fs9 but nothing happens,also new klite drivers for sound an video.for example:default cessna sounds;if i click in any soundfile in file folder(cessna172/sound)and look any soundfile propierties i may see that sound file says PCM.Those all sounds works ok in fs9,but in default b737 or king air also the ATR the file does not says pcm and then checking in fs9 voila!those planes with this sound properties not works in my fs9,but some weeks ago had working ok.…

Greetings,I did search the library for this topic but seem to either miss it or not find it, so here it goes.... WHat would cause an airport with 4 ILS runways to have only 1 listed when you are given an approach from ATC? I opened up the AF2 and the ILS Freq are listed, but in the FS9 map view only 1. This is a generic question, it has happened several times with several add-on airports or udated AFCAD's. I do use the "place all AFCAD's in one folder routine", and have scanned for dups. I also use FSC v8 and it will only show what FS9 shows. Is this a layering issue or a bad afcad?PaxBrad

If there's anyone out there with anti-aliasing problems using Vista and an Nvidia 8 series video card it's almost certainly worth wandering over to Guru3D.com and finding the latest (Beta) Geforce drivers. I've just installed Forceware 163.67 and now I can run anti-aliasing from inside FS9 - which I couldn't before. seems to have fixed some cursor problems AND given a few more FPS.Definitely a step in the right direction.:-)
