Does anyone know of a good tutorial / basic step by step guide for going through an entire flight from point a to point b on the DC-9 for a beginner.I was hoping for a guide for a sample flight to go from a given airport to another. I think they have an auto startup option, or one that eliminates some of the steps in the dark startup, but I still need help beyond this.For example...Click on this button, enter this number, fly up to xxxxx feet, when this happens descent to xxxxx feet, line this up on this gauge, extend flaps, etc.I'd like to to be basic, yet specific enough for one of my kids to go through without getting in too much depth at this point. This has been talked about for some time. This problem might be easier to fix. Problem- Default scenery goes blurry after airborne for a minute or so. I do a screen refresh. Looks fine. A minute later blurry again. Happens mostly in mulitplayer with weather loaded. Older machine but never had this problem before, at least not to this degree. This seems to be default scenery... hills, trees, etc. No extra scenery has to be involved at all. No extra scenery in view even when I know I am not pointed in the direction of any known 3rd party scenery. INtel D845WN motherboard. 1.4 gig, front end bus about 400. Slow by today's standards. ATI Radeon 9600 128 mem video card. AGP 4x…

Now and then has this ever occurred to you? What is the cause? some default airports rwy lights show up only in slew mode. Go off slew and the rwy lights disappear! Any ideas? Bob

Hi guys,Just got my new laptop.... Core 2 duo 2.33ghz, Geforce 7950 GTX, 4gb RAM and Vista. I'm flying the BE F33A from Carenado for a while now. Excellent aircraft, nothing to complain about.Now, as far as you know, is it possible to install an RMI in place of the ADF gauge ?With this configuration, it would be the perfect bird.Thanks.

Searching the forum first, the general opinion seems to be that this is not possible, but as people didn't seem too sure on this, I'm going to ask afresh: it would be really nice to stop FS9 autotuning the NAV1 & NAV2 radios; can I do this? So often, as I cruise at FL360 or whatever, the radio starts its infernal beeping, because it has autotuned to a NAV frequency of an airport I happen to be flying over. I have to go into the radio and turn it to a random frequency to shut it up, but in 5 minutes it's likely to start again on some other frequency it's picked up.Is there any way to get the NAV radios to stay at the frequency I tune them to? Hi all,When certain AI aircraft taxi along AFCAD taxiways and especially when they pass link nodes, they wag their tails. Some do and some don't.This can be especially unrealistic when e.g. a (large) ship like the Queen Mary II, which has been specified as an "AI aircraft", moves along it's assigned AFCAD water taxiway.Does anyone know a method for damping this phenomenon ? Downloaded Shehryar Ansari's KONT scenery a long time ago and have finally checked it out.All of my AI parked at the terminals are sunk into the ground so far to where their engines are in the concrete. I have downloaded all files to go with this set including the updates. The cargo ramps are fine.Anyone know how to fix this?Thanks

Hi. I installed Gottfried Razek's impressive hi-res LA scenery (Los Angeles Intl. v2 (LAX, HHR, CPM)) lax2007_hr.zip from AVSIM. I must be missing something here as I can't see any other posts on this - but as great as it looks from on high, when you land at KLAX, on all the parking bays, and dotted about the taxiways, there are flat 2D impressions of aircraft, as if they have been steam-rollered into the tarmac. Presumably the a/c would have been there when the photos were taken, but surely they aren't supposed to be visible like this when you land? The effect is really weird, and so I've uninstalled the scenery for now. (Kept the great downtown LA scenery!!).Is lax2007_…

I had read on here someplace about the parameters that could be adjusted for modifying AI aircraft behavior. On initial climb, my FSP A330's climb faster than they normally would. They reach 6000 before they are 10 miles and out of sight. What can I change to bring them down a bit?Thanks

Hi,So here is the first Posky v4 and RFP panel merge. For now only the Cargo version.Just follow the steps below.1. Copy the "Freighter.mdl" file from the VMAX JAL Cargo/Model folder and paste it into the Posky plane/Model folder. The "Freighter.mdl" file just has to be in the folder together with the Posky plane model file. Do not delete any of the Posky model files.2. Copy the "Vmax_Classic_2.air" file from the "VMAX JAL Cargo" folder and paste it into the Posky plane folder.3. Well, today is a day for me to remember in my enjoyment of flight simulation. It is the day I TRULY turned off the red FPS indicator line on my display when using FS9, and now only have the navigation tag line updating.I'm presently flying from Detroit to Ft. I just created my 3rd personal airport. This one is in the Rockies of Colorado just a bit west of Aspen. I've flattened and excluded all areas that need it.My problem is that when ai aircraft are flying an approach to the new airport, they fly thru the mountain terrain instead of over it. I remember seeing something on this in the AVSIM libraries but can't remember what one has to do to fix this. Any ideas?

HiI have a small problem using FS9.When I go onto Weather settings, then click individual customize setting, it crahed, but after a complete re install, when I click customize Wx, it allows me to set the desired wx, but only displays indvidual USA Wx Stations, and none of the Europe, Asia, Africa WX stations are displayed.Appreciate any help.Many thanks in in advance.

Hi guys, will it be safe to uninstall the FSX Demo from my HD without harming FS9? I remember some folks having issues with FS9 after uninstalling FSX demo. It just taking up HD space.Thanks,Bill

Is there a way to program a waypoint in the GPS as lat/long instead of a navaid? I would like to be able to fly a specific rout using GPS for guidance but I would like to be able to do it by lat/long of the location instead of using navaids.I would prefer to be able to key in the lat/long coordinates to the GPS itself but I know where the .pln and .flt files are kept and have no problem editing a .pln or .flt file. A link to a good online tutorial on the GPS that includes the answer to this is entirely acceptable to save you work typing. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.TIABill

Hi,Does anyone know if any payware or freeware scenery designers have KJFK scenery for FS2004 and/or FSX in the works? The Simflyers scenery is outdated. I figured someone would remember it, given it's probably one of the most important airports in the US - at least in terms of international traffic.Thanks!

When I'm flying in VATSIM I use the FS9 LVLD 767 with KLM livery but a friend of my was monitoring my actions as a observer and told me that I was flying a default Learjet (????)We are both using FS9 with FSInn/FSCopilot and I see other users with a LVLD767 all the time with the VARIG livery. I don't believe that I am the only one with a KLM livery so where am I going wrong with the settings...Happy landings...
