After about 10 years I've started to think the unthinkable :) FSNAV has to go into retirement.I have FSBuild which is great for constructing Flight Plans, but does not have a Moving Map. So, does anyone know where I can get a Moving Map for Fs9? FSCommander has been suggested, but apart from being expensive, does compile FP's and has a Moving Map; in the words of an 'old' song "You can't have one without the other" :)Ken

Where can I find the base models for the Iris freeware planes? I looked here on avsim, but they are just repaints. I looked at the Iris website but couldn't find the link to the freeware planes.

like the title says, is there a way that we can reduce the elevation differences between the surrounding terrain mesh and the airport surface? i'm tired of landing on plateaus but even more tired of looking at them as I'm departing/arriving. part of the fun for me is the view and having airports sticking way up in the air or sunk way down in the ground is getting on my nerves. I'm using the freeware FSGenesis mesh available here on avsim for my terrain mesh.neal

Hi,I hope someone may help me with this question.I try to move the aircraft in spot view. My PMDG 737800 isnot in the center of my display, so I want to move theaircraft more forward. Hi,Anyone using FSGlobal X 2008 with FS2004/FS9?. If so, what scenery enhancements do you see while using FS2004/FS9?. All the screen shots on Flight1 show scenery improvements to FSX. I have not been able to find any for FS2004/FS9.Is FSGlobal X 2008 worth buying if I own other scenery enhancing add-on software packages?.Is FSGlobal X 2008 better than other scenery enhancing add-on software packages on the market today?.Products I already own: Ground Environment Pro, Ultimate Terrain, FScene 4 (Which is a pain in the butt To Install, Instructions Stink), USA Roads, BEV, FSGenesis, as well as others.Thanks

I'm looking for one... So far all I see is Aerosim offering one. I've seen the "Tin Mouse" and one other version - both seemed nice and looked good, but no VC again :(Theres so much for other Boeings out there, I feel sad for the poor little runty jet - seems like he's been left behind (graphically speaking)I know there is content out there, but I searched for 3 days with limited luck, and A LOT of dead ends. Hello all,The problem I am having is quite simple. After tweaking my new card and getting my FPS just right I have but one more issue with the result. The sky has lines running through it. Almost like the colors will not blend but rather fade in stripes to a darker shade of blue (or yellow if the sun is setting). I hope I have described my problem in enough detail for you guys. If I press ALT+ENTER to go to windowed mode, and then click on VIEWS to go back to full screen, my monitor just freezes, and the mouse flickers. I have to reboot-aargh!@#$What is happening here?Eytan

Hi everyone, I will be going to Antigua end of this month and wanted to fly my leg from San Juan to Vc Bird Intl so I downloaded the scenery here at Avsim and added it but I can't find it in the Scenery lookup area. I have tried everything from the Caribbean to St-Johns to the air port code of ANU and it seems there is no Caribbean in my flight sim, any thoughts on this baffeling mystery would be great. Strangely enough I also looked in FSX and found no Antigua or VC Bird Intl.Thanks in advance.Shayne

:-jumpy Help please, i find a lot of my aircraft are very sensitive and difficult to make a nice smooth flight and landing, some of the heavy stuff are O.K. I tried all the settings in FS9, but find these do not make a lot of difference. I use Wingman Attack 2, When I do a Calibrate aand troubleshoot, there is still no improvement.Do I need a nw Joystick, if so what is a good one.Steve

When flying the default, MS-provided Boeing aircraft (737, 777) I find that the overspeed behavior is kind of wierd. For example, in straight and level flight, the aircraft can sometimes break up even if you slightly overspeed it (typically in the 330-350 KIAS range).Yet in a steep (40 degree) dive from higher altitude, I can often get up to 800 KIAS or more without breaking up. Why does the aircraft seem "tougher" (with respect to aero breakup) in a steep dive than it does in level flight? I can't imagine a real 777 holding together at 800 KIAS and low altitude. Is there a physical reason or is it just a quirk of the flight/damage modeling?Also, aircraft breakup seem…

I've been flying FS9 and its predecessors for many years. A couple of weeks ago I installed Radar Contact 4.3 and was able to use it successfully. A couple of days ago I installed some freeware Airbus and B737 aircraft.All of a sudden yesterday FS9 has become completely unusable. This occurs even with the default Skylane. Basically, the program crashes to desktop when I change something. It might be opening the GPS, or undocking a window. It happens with Radar Contact inactive or active - it seems to make no difference. I know that CTDs are usually due to scenery conflicts. Hi folks, Dont know if I have posted this in the correct section but will see?I have the PSS A320 (A319/A320/A321)series. I love flying the aircraft and love the accuracy of the panel and the FMC. To make the experience more real I was wondering about merging it with other components. I basically want to have better sound, some wing views and add an extra panel (for flight announcements). I am normally OK adding this like this but I just wondered about changing things when it comes to this add-on. I have all the components I want but I thought I would seek some advise before I try to merge them all together as it may be a bit complicated.I also want to use some of the IFD…

Anyone who owns Airbus Vol 1 is aware of the fact that the Pseudo wpts don't change after making changes to the flightplan. In this screenshot you'll see I added Vert. constraints at LEGGT and DARBI during pre flight, yet the LIM and DECEL Wpts are in the wrong place.What I'd like to know is, has anyone devised a work around for this bug? Just a technical question.I downloaded and installed David "Opa" Marshall's ai_kt_hb.zip file but placed his traffic files in the main 9Dragons VHHX scenery folder instead of making a separate scenery and declaring it in the FS9 scenery library, as per his instructions. Why ? Because I have other addon sceneries with their own dedicated traffic files and these all work fine.Opa's ships also move around as they should, I even added a few and they certainly look great but a general technical question now keeps bugging me and I hope someone kan put me out of my misery.The FS9 AI engine seems to have no trouble with other traffic files located outside the standard one in the …
