Hey guys,Quick question.I Have FS09 installed on my PC. Is it possible to also install FSX and keep my FS09 the way it is with out messing everything up? I want to install FSX because it has a very nice multiplayer function and since im studying at a Flight Academy now its a nice way to practise my RT with my class mates!Let me know.cheersNick

At a depressingly large number of airports (and in good weather, no wind) my otherwise perfect ILS and auto- landings are ruined by the fact that the a/c touches down almost on the grass, on the right-hand edge of the runway. If it were at just the odd airport, I'd assume the AFCAD was off, but it happens at so many, I doubt this. Doesn't seem to matter which a/c I use either.Can anyone suggest a solution? If I do edit the AFCADs, if only as an experiment, what exactly do I do, move the green triangles shown if AFACD2 off to the left a bit? Thank you,Martin

While looking on this site http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.php I found a link to a freeware Bordeaux-Merignac (LFBD) scenery.The link to the scenery is http://www.aquitaine-simulation.org/Lassoc...13/Default.aspxMy question is has anybody used this scenery? How is it? By the looks of it you need to log in to get the scenery, but I don't see where you register. When you click on the download link it goes to a blank page. How do you get this scenery?

I was wondering if anyone has succeeded at this? 767-400 is an awesome aircraft, but I almost HAVE TO HAVE FMS to fly airliner routes.I realize that the 763 panel is not really true to the -400, so logically the PSS 773 panel might be best, as it is closer to the all glass the -400's have. But that might be impossible. Not to mention the LVLD panel is awesome.So, has anyone tried? Thanks.

Hello,I have enjoyed and visited this site many times over the years and enjoy the wealth of information it has always provided. After searching the site, I was not able to find any info on this. I thought I had joined the forum years ago, but I guess I have'nt since I tried to sign in to post this and found I wasn't registered (shame on me) I load FS2004, and go to the default location (KSEA) in the cessna. Just sitting in the plane, I watch my fps go from 50 down to 20 over a period of about 2 minutes. At first, I thought it was AI causing this as they began to spawn, so I set the traffic slider down to 0, exited, and re-started the sim. Same thing happens every time.…

I'm posting here because FSC forum replies are pretty slow.I need some info on inputting the aircraft parameters in FS Commander. It looks like we are to input the weights in KG rather than LBS. If that's the case, the numbers are too large to go into the boxes. Are we to be using real aircraft such as found in the aircraft.cfg? If I use real weight in KG's, a 747 weighs 1,600,000kgs which won't fit into the area allotted.Also, how is the fuel flow calculated? I see no input box for fuel flow so I'm not sure how the planner figures the fuel to be used.Thanks for any feedback.

Some time ago another texture tweak was mentioned in the forums. It is not a default one in fs9.cfg. I was using it then lost the fs9.cfg backup, and will be danged if I can't remember what the sucker was! Any ideas?Noel

I have the Volume 1 airbus series and after a lot of patience have mastered the cockpit controls with no problems.Thought I would get Volume 2 as the A340-600 looked good. The cockpit controls are almost identical and thought it would be an easy task to get to grips with this bird also.The aircraft is all set upcorrectly. However, shortly after departure, and just about when I am pulling back on the throttles (as instructed) the a/p disconnects. This happens quite often and wondered if any other pilot has come across this annoying situation and managed to overcome this please?Don

Hello,I've noticed that when I am flying the PSS Concorde, the M/CG light is always flashing and a bell/chime type sound keeps going every 5 seconds. What does it means. The bell sounds like an old version of the seatbelt/no smoking warning sound.

Hello! I recently downloaded the Tibet AddOn Scenery for fs9. When I go to the airport the terminal and taxiways are screwed up. Can somebody please assist me with this please?

I'm running Windows XP Professional, and I'm using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. As soon as I select Massimo Altieri's wonderful X-15 from my list of available aircraft, once it loads and becomes visible on my monitor, the rear landing gear, ( a pair of skids, actually ), immediately sinks into the surface of the runway, causing an immediate "flight sim crash", ( not the entire program, but only that specific flight ), and the flight has to re-set. The nose gear of the X-15 is a wheel, not a skid, and it behaves properly. I'm a novice at all this, but I'm guessing this is a "contact point" problem in the X-15's aircraft configuration file. HiI have downloaded the PMDG 747. The exe file (PMDG747_400_V1R11.exe) is on my hard disk. when i click it, a small, black window will open for about 1/4 second and close again. That was it - no further installation.Has anybody an idee how i can install my PMDG 747???SincerellyJoerg

I'm stationed at Darrington (1S2) I want to fly to Heather Lake and a few others in the area like Lake Wenatchee, and Blanca Lake. I've found routes through the mountians using google earth but how would I navigate this or plot a course. I don't have the link to google earth for flightsim as I'm afraid it would hurt my fps and also I've never taken the time to set it up. I do have FSNav but it's not very detailed when it comes to flying bush. Thanks, Dan

I have recently bought a top shelf notebook in Singapore and so my desktop is now pretty much redundant. I don't play games any more apart from FS and all the program files and apps and stuff I will now do on the notebook.So I have just reinstalled XP Home, stripped it down, BlackVipered it etc and partitioned up with HDD 1 (60Gb)C: OS D: PagefileE: "FS" Program Files (ASV, FEX etc)HDD 2 (200Gb)F: FS9(G: FSX maybe later)I want to eventually add 3 24" WS monitors and get TripleHead2Go.I reckon I can rejuvenate this oldish spec to perform great again and not strangle it with useless Apps and junk.Has anyone else gone and done a "FS Only Rig" ?Happy Vanentine's Day.

Any reason I shouldn't hear an AI jet when it takes off right in front of me, either while I'm next for departure or waiting to cross the active on my way to the gate? Is this normal behavior for FS9 or is there a .wav file I'm missing?I use mainly World of AI and Project AI.Thanks in advance.

Hello,I've noticed these very annoying micro-stutters that happen about every second or so and they are getting so so annoying..Here is what I've tried :-Changing drivers for the video card-Unplugging all usb devices and Ethernet -Defraging my hard drive with O&O Defrag-Trying to ignore the stutters-Delete my old FS9.cfg-Setting Sound Acceleration to basic-Disabling sound from FS2004-Killing all useless processes-Applying various XP Tweaks-Stopping anti-virus NOD32For some strange reason the FPS never seems to move. It stays solidly at 30 FPS even with FRAPSI don't know what to do.. I'm starting to think its my motherboard/video card/ram/etc combination causing the pr…
