Hey!I wonder where in the FS9.CFG, or any other in notepad readable file, the data are stored about the location where a flight is supposed to start. What I mean is: where are the data showing in which airport, at which parking plae, and with wich heading which aircraft stays, when FS9 starts...OK! When FS9 is opened, one has to determine onesleves at which airport etc one likes to start, but after all, it must be stored somewhere in a file. Somewhere in a file this information must have been kept?....Can anybody tell me where to find these data?GreetzJive1

Hi allI now have 220 files in my "addon scenery" the airports I have modified. One quick question. Does any one know I to print a list of these from the folder using XP? I remember in DOS you could direct the files to print to a printer that was connected to a parallel port. Because I use a USB this does not work. Thanks CPKSPI

If you guys haven't tried it, the Yosemite and Sierra Nevada sceneries by Gottfried Razek are nothing short of great. You will probably need a good video card and a stout machine to really enjoy them, but its worth the size of the downloads.

ive bought pmdg boeing 737-900 and truly is a masterpiece. However after making my first flight (all good), parking,throttles off, etc i want to make another flight from my destination,everything works right until i takeoff and try to place the A/P again the buttons will not illuminate and starts descending brutally making it impossible to fly again.Any ideas?

I recently upgraded my PC to a Dell XPS 420, 2 Quad CPU, Q6600 @ 2.40 Ghz; Nvida GeForce 8800 512MB, 4GB RAM, VISTA Home Edition with FS9.1 running in XP SP2 compatability mode.I tried to change the panels and sound in the FS9 737-400 and 747-400using the same AVSIM downloaded panelsound files for each that I used when running FS9 in my prior DEll 8400 with XP SP2 OS...each time I try to loadfly either aircraft, FS9VISTA pops up an error message that FS9 has to shut down due to a conflict. All other aircraft in FS9 work fine. Any commentssuggestions would be most welcome.Thanks

I'm using the ARNZ Concorde as part of my AI traffic but having a problem getting a handle on the schedule. Does it really fly at 1340 mph, mach 2.0 ? I'm not sure that AI's can travel that fast. The other aircraft usually come in about the time they're scheduled but the Concorde always seems to run way late. I don't like to use the "@" forced arrival as the aircraft weird out sometimes when you use that. Appreciate any feedback.Thanks

In the AI Traffic Mover 'aircraft.txt' file, what speeds are supposed to be input? The speed the aircraft normally flies, ie. 485, 440, etc? Also, is this input in kts or mph? For the Concorde, I have input "1200", though I don't think the AI Concorde goes quite that fast. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

I see some interesting sceneries being posted in the Library for FSX. Are they backward compatible for FS9? A .bgl file is a .bgl file. Isn't it? I guess I could try to install one but I wouldn't want to screw up my FS9 which is working beautifuly at this time. Ya know, "If it ain't broke, Don't fix it." Chicken Bill :-hmmm :~P

Hi folks, I having a few issues and wonder if you could help me clarrify them.I have just downloaded LIMC scenery and I think that I have 2 AFCAD files installed. I can see runway markings twice and aircraft wheels appear to go through the ground. I know about the one afcad but cant6 find the other and it is not called AF2, does anyone know where or how I I can find this one?Can someone explain to me how AFACAD parking works. I have spent along time adjusting my settings and am still having problems. I recently installed a recorder module that will record all the parameters of a flight. It's worked fine for awhile, but now I'm having trouble. When ever I try to save a recording I get an error saying "file cannot be opened" then asks me if I want to keep recording, if I select "NO" I get a CTD. Any ideas?Dave F.CYYZ

FS9 runs perfectly on my vista machine with all settings maxed out except for stuttering clouds (low framrates with lots of clouds). No clouds = smooth as silk. A few clouds still = silky smooth. Bring in a few heavy clouds and then you notice a little framerate hit. All out storm clouds = a semi-slide show.I was wondering if anyone had any suggested tweaks or knows of a frame-rate friendly set of cloud files? I'd like to keep my settings at max if possible and solve the problem through a cloud mod file or other tweak.CheersJag

Well, here's a question that has been asked 1000's of times over the years. I've been flying MSFS since ver. 1. I had FS9 installed along with numerous add-ons ( Radar Contact etc ). I purchased FSX and after much tweeking over a year, I decided to go back to FS9 until I had a whooper of a system that will run it. I went back into FS9 and BAMMO, corrupted files etc. I did a complete reinstall of FS9 ( Uninstalled all of FSX BTW ) along with FSNav.Here's the question: If you had a clean install of FS9 on a system that will consistantly give you good frame rates, what would you install?Here's what I'm interested in: A good 737-800 with authentic gauge operation from start…

I've purchased the Shockwave lights for FS9, but try as I might, I cannot figure out how to get them into the Eaglesoft Citation X and the Eaglesoft Beechjet. Has anybody done these two yet? If you have, would you mind posting the config entries here? I've searched everywhere that I can think of including Shockwave's forums, but I haven't found anything yet.Thanks in advance, Matt

Hello all,Just bought a new rig with Vista loaded on it. Installed FS9 with all my add ons. Runs terrifically but I want to tweak teh FS9.cfg file but I have a dilema. I cannot located the FS9.cfg file. I have searched the full hard drive and no luck. I am having problems with several of the subject acft and could use some help, please. The acft are installing correctly but I don't have a left side view. When I press Shift+Left arrow, the screen is blank. If I press W to change panel view to "no panel", then press Shift+Left arrow, I get a left side view. How can I fix this? Hi folks, Can anyone recommend any utiliuty that will simply give me a timetable of all my AI traffic at a certain airport?I used to use ACA2005 but this was a few years ago on an old PC and just wondered if there were any better utilities for doing this. What causes these.I get them when I change views ,it last for a second then goes back to normal. I have just re installed FS9 again, and I've never had this problem before. It there a setting in the FS9 cfg file I could change to help.

A while ago there was some software or a method you could do to change altitude on the autopilot very quickly and easily without having to left mouse click and hold until you blow past your desired altitude. I somewhat remember hitting ~320 for FL320. There must of been other commands for heading and speed. I am on a notebrick so I don't have the scroll wheel.
