Downloaded an add-on - love the scenery "eye candy" itself but for me when at altitude the difference in the tiled ground texture colors and the default landscape textures is too much to bear. (It's a sea of darker colors (default) and then this light colored small block where the photo textures are laid).Is there a way to keep the add-on structures, etc but have it so when it loads it doesn't load up the ground texture tiles for the area? Would it be a matter of simply deleting a .bgl file that point to those textures?I guess I could try it myself by trial and error. I just don't want to get FS9 all screwed up to the point of no return I guess.If it's unclear as what I a…

Yes, that's right. It won't go away.Proceedure I have used......go to scebery library and click on the scenery I want to delete, click delete scenery, then shut down FS9 and go into the add-ons folder and delete the scenery there, restart FS9...scenery is still shown??? (The structures themselves I like, however the photo-real terrain does not blend in with the default terrain at all so far as colors go - from the air it looks like a huge light colored block).How can the scenery be still shown if it's been deleted out of the directory?And before you ask, no, I do not do drugs.Thanks!Perplexed in Tucson

Hi allAlthough I have previously loaded and enjoyed UT Europe for FS 2004 for some years, since the return of my PC from a repair shop for a replacement motherboard I have had increasing problems loading and keeping the programme in place.I can see it in the "Scenery" folder of FS9 and have even tried loading it file by file onto the scenery library, where I then see it seemingly installed along with all the default files. I get a message telling me that the programme has to be run (take a flight)and then shut down before the programme runs and I see the results. The trouble is that when I load FS9 again it is not in the scenery library. I have ried evrything - even unins…

A few days ago you added some info to a post about changing the water colors with the "Ultimate Water Progam." That is, taking certain files from it and placing them into another folder to get the Inland and Tropical waters like you like them. I can tell by your post that you know what you are doing. Would you give us all some more help by listing WHAT files you got from WHAT folder (and where the folders are located) and where you placed them ? It would be a big help to all of us. Hello AllI would like to add some extra ram to my pc in an attempt to eek out a little more performance from FS9.I currently have 1GB (two 512kb modules)my PC has two slots only for ram modules.Ram always seems to go oneGB,two.four etc. in upgrades.My question...I am currently rather lacking in the wonga dept at the moment,so could i buy one 1GB module and keep one 512k module and run one and half GB RAM! It's interesting that statistically there are more CRJs (200/700/900s) in operation (total aircraft inventory) in the US than any other airframe, yet there has not been a release (except Wilco/Feelthere CRJ many moons ago) of an updated complex (fully functional FMS/VC/systems etc) CRJ. According to http://www.jetinventory.com/Expand2.aspx database, in 2006 there were over 1000 CRJs operating in the US--the next closest, is the 737 at 712. Besides the German Digital Aviation CRJ 700 project (which I believe is slated for FSX), does anyone know of any other CRJ development work? Hello all,Thank you to Ray Proudfoot for making the IFSD stuff available. It's nice to have a some better quality Irish airports and scenery again.I have a problem though... the file CarnTerm.bgl in the IFSD Scenery package I just installed is causing frequent reloads of the flight if I start at EICM, often before I even start the engine. If I remove the file from its ../IFSD/EICM/scenery folder the flight seems to go OK but that's a bit poor because I'm then missing all Galway's airfield buildings.I've tried altering the afcad to avoid collisions and interference with buildings, and even reinstalled IFSD, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.Does anyone have a good…

I see all those wonderful videos that people shoot in FS9.How do I do that? Which tool do I need to install?Is it doable to at the same time fly the plane and "lead the camera" (I could imagine that the angle I want to shoot is not the angle of view that I require to fly the plane)?How can I edit and cut videos, e.g. to make a 5 minute video out of a 12 hour flight?Thanks

GreetingsI'm using the PSS panel w/the Overland A330. But let's get down to business, the overland VC (lets face it, its the best one so far). I would like the PSS gauges to show up on the VC so that it would be a good realistic VC for the A330. any help?Also, if this works, is there any way to make the PSS 777 gauges appear on the Overland 777 VC?

hello everyone,Lately I have been leaning toward a diffrent kind of flying to spruce things up. Not to say that i am putting fs9 aside, just something diffrent.I am looking for some military flying, Maybe some add-on that i am not aware of that I can get for my fs9 to change it up a little. Hi,Wondering if anyone has ever had this problem with a buzzing and sort of static noise in the cockpit view of the default 172 and 182. Only get the sound in this view. I have isolated the problem to the file wind3 in the sound folder. I tried to replace the file from the original cd but problem still exists. I have a creative x-fi sound card and the latest drivers for windows 7. I can mark out the file in the SC but would like to find the problem to fix it.Any help would be appreciated.Thank-You,Ted

Hi All. I have just reinstalled FS9 & added the scenery that I always use and one airport CYYZ and that's all so far. When I have to reinstall FS9 I have a list of everything needed. I always use my install list and it always works perfectly for me. Except this time I wanted to start a flight from the runway just to save time used in taxing the aircraft usually is sits close to the center line when I do this, but this time it's sitting close to the left side of the runway. I have not installed any afcad's at all and all of the scenery textures and mesh are payware. ( FSGenisis, UT, GE Pro and HDE just the sky part). I don't know where to start looking for …

Hi allI rather like the Cloud type---Thunderstorm setting in default weather----is it possible to Enable/Disable the thunder and lightning effects?I do have a sight problem and wear glasses and the lightning is almost painful in particular when flying at night,so I would like to use the clouds on there own if this is possible.Thanks in advance for any help,Eddie.

J have installed the beautifull KPGA lake Powell Bluesky scenery but I could not exclude or eliminate the horrible Default Glen Canyon dam bridge,(see picture).Which is the corresponding default file in FS2004 for this bridge?

Hi I'm sure this question has been asked before but I have not been able to find it in search. If you include FS9 in search you get an error because it is three characters or less so I would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction. I am buying a new laptop and want to move FS9 to it. My FS9 folder contains a lot of add-ons that I purchased on the internet as downloads over the last five years so I can't install them from scratch. I had to re-install the PMDG 747, but when using the LevelD767, the engine gauges were missing/black. So, I un-installed the PMDG and the LevelD gauges remained absent. A Windows System Resore Point, brought back the gauges to the LevelD767..So, as I want to re-install the PMDG747 again, does anyone know why this affects the LevelD engine gauges and what to do then?Regards,Marcelo Wachtel Santiago, Chile 11.25am EDT

Good morning everybody,Is there any news on the problem of the low framerates when using the E-jets of Wilco/Feelthere?I have searched the forum and found a few topics on it but no solution.Since I still use Fs-9, I have quite a few addon's installed (among them PMDG 737 & 747, Leonardo's maddog...)None of those have the same problem (and are older) as the E-jets and all are running fine on Windows 7 64bit.Can anybody shed some light on the issue or point me to a thread here on the forums in which I can find a solution (except putting the plane in a hangar collecting dust, I mean)ThanksLuc BrusselmansBelgium

A couple od weeks ago I downloaded and installed this scenery, made by Mateusz Stabryla and MK Studios. However, I seem to be experiencing very excessive shimmering of the ground textures. I wrote an e-mail to the author some time ago, but received no reply. I wonder if anyone else here has this scenery and has the same problem. All my other sceneries, about 150 of them seem to be fine so this would lead me to believe it is not my computer and FS setup, but would like to be sure. Ted

Hi guys,re the topic title file - rwytxi.zip.I've d/l the zip and installed all the files as per instruction within the zip.If i go to the 'demo' area in the flt file, i can operate both the adf and nav2 sets of lights......so my radios are o.k.If i try and install and place the lights into another scenery using Flight 1 Instant Scenery, the light sets do not work. I've noticed some discrepencies within the GDU listings for the 'day' and corresponding light colour object titles in both the adf and nav2 scenery txt's, but do not know if this has any bearing on the problem.Users of F1 Instant Scenery will understand when i say that when placing the objects, they do not show…

Im a bit confused. I flew once online cant remember who with. Is this the sitew where you log flight plans and is overseen by aircraft tower ? If so is there an easy tute to get me going again? I use FS 2004, do i need to doeload something called squark box or some other software. I think i am after the ost realistic experience. Could somebody help get me started? I wonder if anyone recognises this symptom (FS9)...At a number of airports I have recently downloaded (eg. a new OPPS and also FMNM) after a short while sitting at the airport all the airport autogen textures (buildings etc. but not AFCAD stuff like apron or runways) and all the ground textures as far as the horizon suddenly go very blurred. If I slew up and slightly away from the airport, so that I have it in view, and then press Shift+Q (my shortcut for reload scenery), I get fully sharp textures back for maybe one second.
