Hey, so my fsx is clean, after a clean installation on windows 7 home premium 64 bit. i have flown this approach from tutorial 2 from the NGX and got a fatal error. before that I have never experience such a problem. So, just spent most of a night dealing with the fact that my otherwise stable system decided to just completely shut down. Nothing abstruse in Event Viewer. The PC started going into a horrible boot-shutdown-boot-stay up for awhile-shut down cycle. Windows 8 frantically tried to auto repair and then give me scads of custom restore/repair/reset options. Thought maybe my master boot partition had gone mad. Tried resetting things in BIOS. Repaired FSX and Acceleration, twice. Deleted the swap file, no dice. Know what it was? Hi all: Am getting near-constant BSOD crashes. Here are screenshots from three of the last four from "Blue Screen Viewer:" Can anyone spot what the problem might be? Hey guys. I have been searching for months and trying many different things to get the fatal errors to stop in FSX. I have added the uiautomationcore.dll but that does nothing. I have gotten a new hard drive as well so I had to do a clean install of Windows 7 and FSX and I am still having the problem. Does anyone have any other suggestions? The fatal errors will happen randomly, often on startup of FSX and shortly after loading an aircraft, but will occasionally happen at cruise or on descent. Let me know if there are any tests that I can run and provide the results here because I would love to get this worked out. Thanks.

Hi guys, I recently tried to launch FSX and on the start up it gave me a fatal error, it used to work before, but I thought, no big deal, I'll reinstall, so I did from the 2 Deluxe disks, tried to launch, fatal error. So I installed SP1, tried to launch, yup, same, and then SP2 gave the same result. I'm on a 32 bit Windows 7 machine, no problems in the past. I have been experiencing CTD's with my new installation of FSX Gold edition in this new win 8 computer The driver the computer came with displays very well, I opened the Event Viewer to see what could be causing the CTD's before I do something drastic and revert to win7 Here is an image of the results of the Event Viewer attached. berlopez

For what it's worth, here is my tip to avoid OOM. Run a registery checker (i use CC Cleaner) prior to running the Sim, then load your sim up, I fire up in this order: 1. AS2012 2. FSX (load from the desktop icon or start menu, not from AS2012) 3. TrackIR When the sim is loaded select your aircraft, start airport and time/season then fly now. Let the sim load up and once done exit flight sim. Then reload as below: 1. FSX (Load from the AS2012 button) 2. I haven't played FSX (Acceleration) lately but I since I have started back I am face with random CTD during flights. It happens randomly, I can never complete a flight. This is when using PMDG 737NGX SP1c or whatever the latest version is. The error I get is a BEX error when the crash window shows up. I'm not sure what's causing this. It happens with nvidia drivers 314 and now that I have updated to 320 it still crashes randomly, though not as often. I'm not sure if its a driver issue. Just a quick heads up to say that for the first time in my life, updating to latest Nvidia software today led to crashes of my otherwise rock-solid Win8 64-bit FSX setup. Have reverted back to 3.14.22 and will stay there. I usually trust Nvidia and blame myself, but this time there was - at least on my system - direct cause and effect. Everything is back to running fine on 3.14.22. For all I know all I needed to do was turn car traffic down just one percentage point, but I've got my FSX House of Cards set up optimally for me at this point, so I'm going to skip anything that hints of blowing it over, at least until I get bored somewhere down the line.

Okay first post of many questions – Alright so I been around for a long time with Flight Simulator, and took a break from the hobby for about 8 years overall and just came back full force in December of last year and I did get FSX when it first came out but didn’t play it much and never on Vatsim. I Am in need of an fsx repair from the disk. I'm having black, texture-less, flat contrails at high altitude. problem is that every time I repair, I start uo fsx and it shows the "fsx.exe has stopped working" message. If anyone has experience with this, what can I do to repair and run the bloody thing normally? It seems like the repair function only kills the program completely, and it's the only thing people recommend when they have a problem. Greetings to the forum. It looks as though I am going to have to bite the bullet and do a fresh install of FSX. For no apparent reason, last week it refused to load, I get the opening splash screen for about 20 secs and then nothing (CTD ?) I have tried every fix known and still no luck. Hi All. Sorry if I've missed crucial posts on this, but I have yet to find anything re my particular scenario. Simply, FSX fails with no warning and no error messages towards the end of very long flights - usually at about the 10 or 11 hour mark, but still in cruise. One moment the flight is progressing normally - then FSX instantaneously minimises and nothing will wake it. This usually means CTRl+ALT+DEL or even a system reset. I have installed the latest graphics driver from Nvidia, run a memory check, closed all AV, firewall, etc., disabled XP's Power Saving options, defragged, moved the page File to a different HDD and so on. Guys, I've been having this issue for about a week now. It's frustrating to be 3 hours into a flight only to have the sim crash. I know we all have had it happen, but this is getting ridiculous. I've uninstalled the sim and all C++ entries, and reinstalled the sim and on a few add-ons but it just crashed again. Here are the 2 screen shots with the messages that I was given. And then... I just recently started using FSX, despite the fact that I have owned it for years. I have the Gold Edition that includes the Deluxe Edition and the Acceleration Pack. I have only made one flight and since then, FSX will crash at random points. Sorry if I've missed topics on this already Just about every time I use the PMDG 737ngx around brisbane australia airport with ORBX add on fsx usually seems to freeze and says fsx is not responding. It usually happens when leaving or arriving. This doesn't seem to happen when I'm at default fsx airports with the same aircraft or any other for that matter So my question is two pronged I guess, does anyone know what might be causing this? Hi, I'm in the process of re-installing FSX on my new computer (Win 7 64bit, 8Gb ram, i7 processor, NVIDIA GTX 650 video). All was going reasonably well until loading the PMDG MD-11 and the iFly 737 NG. The PMDG MD-11 crashes FSX (CTD) and the iFly comes up with an error stating that it cannot load iFly737NG.dll. I've been to the PMDG support site and have applied their fix to the dll.xml file to convert all line terminations with Ctrl+LF in the dll.xml file. But this hasn't worked PMDGF still goes CTD and the iFly error still appears. I have partitioned my hard disk and created a H: drive where all “User” folders are created and stored.
