Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

Hi! It seems like every time when I`m taking off in FSX, CTD occurs. It`s really annoying and help is welcome. I have uninstalled FSX and all its add-ons but it didnt help. Then I did new FSX,cfg file but that didnt help either. I´m using add-ons like PMDG777, FTX Global and ASN but I dont know are those the reason but anyway. Hi, it may have been discussed before... I run FSX acceleration in win 7 64 if I try to load a flight at Chicago KORD or Meigs FSX just does not respond I get the spinning circle. If I try to fly into KORD from elsewhere FSX crashes. Is there anything I can do to be able to use the Chicago airports. Phil

I have recently built a computer for fsx. FSX installed correctly, but wont let me open it. When I try to open it gives me an error about directx (I'll post the error below). I have updated my drivers and directx and still no luck. I am running Windows 7-64bit and a GTX 760. Please help. Thanks!

i recently bought the LEVEL D 767, while it's an amazing aircraft, every time I've tried to fly it, I just get random ctds. could anyone help?

Hello Guys Recently im exprencing a crash that had start from the moment i install the FS Real Time for the first time, witch consist in every time i load na aircraft at Lisbon Airport and change the time in the World Option os the FS Menu to, Day Time, the Fs crashes. Now, the most anoying thing is that if load the the aicraft in any other time then Day Time ( Night, Dusk or Down) the Fs doesen´t crash. I´ve uninstall the Mega Lisbon Airport by Aerosoft and the Fs Real time but this bug still remain there even with the default Lisbon aiport. This is the only airport that this happen and only at Day Time. Does anyone exprencing this thing or have a solution t…

Hi all.I've recently gone to FSX after years of FS9.It works OK now, however FSX crashes when scrolling through the rightclick menu (views, etc).The error message says : uiautomationcore.dll.When i don't use the menu, it does not crash.It's very inconvenient though because i need to use the menu for addons etc.. Now i'm running Windows 7 RC and 181.72 nvidia drivers.. so i know its not a fully stable OS (every other game runs 100% perfect though)Anyone else got this error? can't seem to find much info about it.Thanks,Walter

Hi, I'm getting those fatal errors during flight with DX9 but when i switch to DX10 i dont have this problem. I dont want to use DX10 bcuz i like my enb and DX10 has odd graphics. I have the UiAutomaticore.dll in my FSX folder already. Is there something to do with the enb? 2. I have noticed that when i'm in the LOC mode before GS in the speed of 180knots my posky 737 nose is really pithed up like in the take off. Thanks.

A little tip I picked up from my VA Chief that worked like a charm for me. I suddenly started getting CTD and FATAL ERRORS after 2 weeks of flying fine all over the US but suddenly I was FATAL ERRORING while trying to depart Tampa to head back home to Texas. I could not get off the ground. Going through start up checks.. CRASH... Taxing CRASH. Thinking about a steak dinner, CRASH. This is something you should do frequently, say after every 3 or so long flights. Hi SInce some days ago I always get a message that FSX is run out the available memory. I have page file set for C:\ at 3072MB, I am using more or less 50 % of the phisical memory and still 3 GB of memory are free, but I can´t take off because the sim shuts down. I use win7 64bits. I did rename my fsx.config file to let FSX build a new one seemed to help a lot, tried to finish a flight with PMDG 777, was in a hurry and used the speedup feature 16x, was swithing back and forth from 8x. I will try turning down the scenery, as it was maxed out. No warnings before the CTD, screen just goes black, then I have to force the computer to shut down after it crashes. Hey everyone! I know this has been discussed many times before... But for some reason i get CTD now when i select Autogen Scenery. No matter which density is set, FSX immediately crashes while loading the Scenery. Except of that, FSX runs smooth with frames up to 60 locked. Addons used are: FSX SP1 and 2, Active Sky Next, FTX Global and Majestic Dash 8. I never had problems with Autogen Scenery before. I already tried flushing the Shaders and other stuff being mentioned in the Forums.. Maybe one of you guys has got a clue? Regards, Tom

Hi all sorry, english is not my language, i try to search something about my problem in my language but i didn't find it. I have a new pc, win7 64 bit installed, and radeon 7750 installed. I have already fsx accelleration pack installed but it runs only with dx10 enabled. When i try to disable and run again FSX in dx9 mode i have a black screen or after 2 or 3 click of mouse FSX crashes to desktop. Anyone knows how can i do? Thanks

Hi there. I am pretty much a complete novice with FSX, but I recently just built a computer with some pretty good specs and I am having a CTD when I switch views in FSX. Sorry if this question has been answered before, but if anyone can help me I would so appreciate it as I just got this computer and its quite frustrating. Also, the program in general doesn't look all that amazing. Any tips to make it look better would be great! Hi, My FSX crashes without any warning or fatal error on the startup, The crashing started after i installed FlightFX+SweetFX. It was working fine like 30 minutes and when i rebooted my computer my FSX just crashes on the startup without any warning. I have tweaked my fsx.cfg with the venetubo thing but i put the backup back on the FSX folder, but it didnt help. Please help. BTW i have windows 8.1.

Hi guys On a number of occasions my fsx freezes for around 30 to 40 seconds and then crashes straight to the desktop. I have checked event logs and a app crash viewer program but nothing was reported as a crash by these programs. It has happened on multiple occasions for example I was flying from LA to Paris and it crashed to desktop after 10 hrs of flying also it happened when landing into Heathrow. I have tried such methods as unticking scenery and also reverting back to DX9 but that didn't solve the problem. I have also tried making a new cfg but this doesn't seem to resolve the problem. Hi, Quick question, haven't found an answer Googling this: I sometimes get hangs (Windows greyed out, (Not Responding) shows up... Windows 8.1., happens with or without old Vista uiautomationcore.dll in FSX directory) when i'm trying to load a flight plan from the Free Flight screen. It _feels_ like the hang that happens in the Add-On Scenery interface, where you have to click outside the window before hitting okay on any PC using Win7 onwards -- -- but unlike that situation, neither waiting nor clicking in an equivalent spot causes things to resolve. Have to exit FSX and restart. Any hints on what's going on here? Steve

Hi all, I've got a Fatal Error on startup that only seems to occur when SP2 or Acceleration are installed. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and have an AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series graphics card. As far as I’m aware I have the most up to date drivers installed from the AMD website. I have th FSX Gold Package of FSX Deluxe and Acceleration. I have tried clean installs of both FSX Deluxe>SP1>SP2 and FSX Deluxe>Acceleration to no avail and the same thing happens each time, I should point out that I tried the service packs and Acceleration seperately, not at the same time.
