Hi ive built a new system and am using my fsx once again and to start im sorry if there have been topics like this before im new to avsim. Anyway ive been enjoying fsx but ive ran into a bit of a problem with my addons. I have mega airport dublin orbx ftx ireland and im using my airbus x extended on windows 8.1 however whenever i fly around dublin for awhile in any heavy aircraft like the airbus x or the captain sim 727 it crashes after about 10 minutes. This doesnt happen anywhere else in the world only dublin. Anyone have any suggestions ? ALCON I have been getting several window.dll CTD over the course of several days now. It doesn't matter what aircraft I use or what scenery I use. The only thing that I have noticed where it has worked was on short flights under 3hrs. All long flights do not work. I get the window.dll CTD while on approach and under F/L100. I have tried a variety of flights, aircraft, and sceneries, all the same result. I am going to try taking out the vysnc tweak for windowed mode, to see what happens. Hello My system has been running fine for a couple of months but today I have tried to do two flights but after about an hour FSX just freezes and I have to CRL-ALT-DEL to end the sim, Am not very good with computers so hopefully I have attached the right files. I have read the CDT guide, applied the recommendations, monitor VAS but FSX crashes on almost every flight during descent. For the last couple of weeks I my FSX is going to a black screen without any warnings. Its strange because I can still hear sounds and get back into the sim but its getting annoying. I updated drivers, did a CFG rebuild, even purchased a new video card after reinstalling fsx. I'm trying to avoid a total uninstall but I've run out of suspects. Thanks,

Hello everyone, I recently purchased and installed FSDT's GSX, which also installed the Addon manager and Couatl script engine. I already had a copy of these installed on my machine. Now, FSX will CTD after a few seconds of the splash screen. It will allow me to say that I 'trust' the modules, and to run them. Things I've tried; Disabling anti-virus and omitting various DLL's from it's protection. Installing the addon manager and Couatl seperately from FSDT's website Ensuring the various Microsoft C++ Redistributables are installed correctly. OK what on earth did I do here? On Saturday I was flying around just as happy as could be. Installed a couple sceneries. Then installed KTVL. And at some point in the process I updated my video drivers. Now this. Been searching internet threads looking for solutions. 1. Rolled back the NVIDIA drivers -- no change. 2. Logbook.bin was not the culprit. 3. Used old scenery config files -- didn't fix it. 4. Installed SceneryConfigEditor v1.12 and it found no errors. Renumbered all the layers and entries, still no change. 5. I even found one guy whom I know from these forums who had a similar issue which was resolved by reinstalling ORBX libraries. …

Here's one possible solution to the infamous black screen you might see at startup (in the preview screen) and after loading FSX/P3D. This happened to me suddenly today and without explanation (just like other cases I have read). Things I did to try to fix the problem with no success: Deleted FSX.cfg and restarted FSX and let the config rebuild. Disabled all modules in the dll.xml by changing the one line "<Disabled>False<Disabled>" to "<Disabled>True<Disabled" Disabled all modules in the exe.xml in same manner as dll.xml Disabled all addon scenery Moved all addon aircraft such as PMDG aircraft to Temporary folder Uninstalled and reinstalled NVI…

ok so im so confused right now on this memory limit of FSX. my task manager says im already using 4.5gb and im still not yet departing but someone told me that i should use the process explorer. then i checked on it says fsx uses 2,292,652 k right now. so am i safe since fsx still have 1.7gb of virtual space based on process explorer info or should i close it down cause the task manger says im already beyond 4gb here's the addon that I use: 1. Hi All I've been away from the FSX scene for a few months, and I was one of the minority that had constant CTD's (with no error message) whilst clicking and using menus with SweetFX. I was just wondering whether there had been any developments in identifying the cause/finding a solution for this annoyance since I'd been away? Hi Guys, Now this isn't really about a CTD but there is some context with it and I know how good you guys are at fixing almost anything so I thought i'd try my luck anyway. What I did: Originally I had an almost instant CTD when opening FSX not a big deal I thought it was the perfect opportunity to scrap it and make a brand new install because it was full of stuff that I didn't need. Doing my clean uninstall I went through my AppData folder to delete the 2 FSX folders in Local and Roaming, couldn't find them thought they were hidden so ticked hidden on my whole AppData folder (don't ask me why I have no idea!) big loading bar hid the whole folder, tried to reverse …

I have been running P3D V2 exclusively for some time now, and all was well until recently... P3D has started to CTD about 10 minutes into a flight.
