FS2CREW: FLIGHT 1 ATR (FS9)

Hello,I guess I am FMS challenged, coming from loading the flight plan in via the FS2004 planner (recreational flying), and not worrying about the other FMS specific data requirements. I can put in the legs 1/2, the only issue being DO66c indicating it is 4696 miles away. Usually you are prompted to select if more than one waypoint appears. See attached screen imageI am having a problem with page 2 in that where A586 is supposed to be, it says DIRECT, and I can't change it.I have tried the Flight 1 tutorial and it kind of jumps around.What am I doing wrong? Hi,I'm going to build a home cockpit based on the wonderful ATR72-500 by Flight1, implementing the electronic interface using IOCard from OpenCockpits.During my "experimentation" with lights switches I verified that if I turn on for instance the landing lights switches (through the $0D0C offset of FSUIPC) the light turns on for less than a second and then switch back to the previous state ("on" if it was "on" before I switched or "off" if it was "off").I tried to replace the panel with the one of Sanchez-Castaner (freeware) and the problem didn't present.Then I think it's due to the complex gauges of the original panel.Searching over the Flight1 forum I found a similar re…

I have two problems with the tutorial. I cant open the PA panel.When I click on the INT button on the radio panel nothing happens. When I enter Maket2 in the fmc it says "not in data base".

Hi Bryan,I realize the secondary button is linked to the marker beacon, but does this mean the marker beacon's beeps are permanently disabled? I haven't heard any marker beacon since using FS2Crew and I was thinking even if the secondary button switches it on and off chances are it should have been on at some flights.Regards,Leo Bakker

I have all the latest updates, re-installed FS2crew followed posted FAQ's but when selecting the ATR from the cessna the error msg comes up FS was unable to load some aircraft or software. Hi Bryan,I like to fly manually, so I regularly do the take-off checklist before switching on the autopilot. I noticed that after the ATO checklist, the autopilot on call doesn't play. Obviously this is not a major problem, but I like to hear myself talking :-) Would it be possible to change this?Leo Bakker

Twice I've had a problem with the flight attendants taking far too long to come back with the cabin is ready for landing message. I notify Vera 30 minutes prior to landing. Notify the attendants, put the seat belt sign on and do the TOD announcement at 30 to TOD. Landing card comes in right on schedule with 20 to go. We do the approach briefing and decent checklist and head down. 10,000 landing lights on. Then it's quiet all the way down to level off at 4,000 (there's terrain, I can't go lower). 10 miles upwind still nothing from the rear. Here's a good one: Prior to installing ATRCrew, my ATR-500 works perfectly (minus the various fixes proposed by various patches in the works by Flight1, my plane worked fine in any case)....... then, install ATRCrew. What happens?.........the propeller for engine #2 on the right or starboard side does not turn. The sounds are there, it flys as if it's turning, but it's not turning. Worse yet, ATRCrew commandeers the prop even when you dont use ATRCrew. The only way I got it to work was to use another duo prop aircraft and then tell FS9 to start my ATR-500 or if useing the ATR Configuration panel, I told FS9 to start the ATR-500 with full power and ready to taxi. Hello BryanI currently use Radar Contact as my ATC of choice - like FS2C, I think it adds a further level of realism. The two add-ons work fine together except in one particular - the descent. RC tends to order descent very early. Often the first request is discretionary and can be noted and ignored. However there then comes an instruction to descend immediately. Failure to comply usually results in a good butt-kicking at the end of the flight.The problem is the order is always around thiry four or five miles before the FMC computed TOD and, therefore some four or five miles before the landing card is handed over.I know you have already put back the card handover fro…

HiJust purchased FS2Crew for my ATR :) - excellent integration into the ATR, I flew this for two days non-stop almost, much to my wife's annoyance.I have done the tutorial flight a few times, and various shorthauls in Germany, but am having an issue with the cruise checklist.According to the manual, approx 1,000ft below your cruise altitude the FO should call "1000 to Level off" This never happens, I make sure that I click on the hidden spot in the center of the standy altimeter to call "transition altimeters" and set to 1013 at transition altitude. It really adds to the immersion and I wouldn't think of flying the ATR without it!However, there are a few things that I feel could be improved:- The captain reads back two instruments with a precision that is unrealistic: the fuel gauges and the altimeter. In reality he could never see that the fuel is, say, 3,004 kgs and the altitude is 124 feet. Would it be possible to round off his read back to better reflect the instrument readings?- There are two generic calls that are very specific: the FO always asks start clearance for flight 1201 and the FA always has 21 passengers. Prior to getting my loadsheet, I get the following error box..."Creation Failed - Check if Sound File is Available." Above this statement appears the file location followed by "Loadsheetdm.wav". I click OK and get back into the cockpit and everything is working (the loadsheet is waiting for me). I'm assuming this is the file it can't find. Besides pissing off the FA and getting fired by the airlines, this is the only problems I've had. Any idea what's causing this?Thanks...great product!MikeP.S. I just downloaded the ATR software on 12-26-05. Installed it as per instructions, config'd the ATR as required, did the start up with the Cessna at KSEA, then selected the Dreamfleet ATR aircraft(which used to work just fine before installing the FS2crew software). Got the subject message once. I clicked OK and got it again. The message identified the file as: gauges/fs2crew/atr/fs2crewtalepffdatacard.gau I checked said directory and the file is there. When the airplane loaded, the take off data card popped up for a quarter second and disappeared. Hi AllWell it seems there are not posts on this so I am the lonley only.I have fiddled with the FMC now forever. I have flown the ATR for many hours but never the desire to program the FMC. I am soo excited about fs2crew that I must learn. Does anyone have a step by step for the manuals tutorial or would anyone be willing to create one. I apologize if I have missed this in the manual, but is there a way to reset/restart a checklist if you accidentally hit the main button too early? For example after performing the descent checklist you accidentally hit the main button again and initiate the approach checks too early?Thanks.
