FS2CREW: FLIGHT 1 ATR (FS9)

Hello, first off as a new user, I'd like to compliment you on a terrific addon! This adds a whole new world to the sim! So far I have gotten everything to work well with one exception. I cannot seem to get the automatic takeoff call for rotation to work properly. I make sure I get the PA brief saying the cabin's ready. I click the main button to ask if the FO's ready. I then click the E/T button on the chrono and the capt says Taking Off. However when the speed reaches the yellow bug, he never calls rotation. Everything afterwards is automatic as it should be. I have also made sure the Briefing Mode is in Takeoff. My first question is: Does it matter if the bug…

Hi! I intent to get the FS2Crew add on for the ATR butI am not a fan of FMC flying, I prefere the 'old style navigation' and lots of hand flying. So I would like to know whether when flying the bird without programing and operating the FMC, FS2Crew will function without it accordingly as well, in all phases of flight. Just as in real. Would love that, cheers.NH

Hi,I have just installed FS2crew for the ATR.I really like this product which combined with a TrackIR device in the VC makes you feel like a real captain.I used the ATR for 4 hours yesterday making three flights in a row1)TBPB-TFFF2)TFFF-TFFR3)TFFR-TBPBEverything went fine in the chain of event but at the last moment,5 minutes before my final landing.FS quit without errors,no "send error report",nothing.Just back to desktop.Really frustrating because you can not reload a saved situation (I use auto-save option from JC oliveira). You should foresee a patch in the future to be able to save situations.I can accept crashes if I can reload where I was 2 or three minutes ago.Th…

Seems like the ATR could be the first former FS2Crewed aircraft in FSX. According to Hans Hartmann in this thread: http://atr.flight1.net/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=3116 , the ATR is almost converted. Just some configuration utility left to be done. Are you ready Bryan?

Greetings! Just to let you know that I was dragging my feet about FS2Crew for quite a while. But now I'm glad I purchased it. What a great addon! I can't imagine NOT using it now. :)I took my first solo from KSEA->KPDX and thought I'd share my approach. I figure someone might get a good chuckle out of it. Thanks for a great product.-Matt

Hey Bryan, I just purchased FS2Crew ATR Version today. The install went great, and the plane loads fine. I do have a question if you can help? How much does FS2crew effect overall performance? I noticed alot of stuttering throughout my flight when panning in the VC, yet my fps was maintaining 24-29 fps. I lock it at 30. You can see my specs below, so this one has me puzzled. It might be my driver for my card, who knows, but I wanted to see if the program could have more than just a little impact before looking into other things. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Tremendous job on the ATR version. Even the 30 minute prefight flew by. The immersion is ju…

Hello Bryan, I hope you are well. I am interested in the ATR fs2crew package. What version is the download? It says version 1.0, but you have had several updates since releasing it. Does it included all the updates? Also, I noticed a few users with gauge loading issues. Has this been updated as I am a Active Camera user. Thanks so much for your help. I am looking forward to flying the ATR with a crew aboard.

Hi Bryan,Is there any way to set up the ATR72-500 for flight with FS2Crew installed but inactive? The main reason I want to do this is is to become more familiar with the tutorials in the Flight1 Manual prior to, ot perhaps in conjunction with learning how to use FS2Crew with this plane. BTW I also have the PMDG737 and LDS767 versions of FS2Crew. I first tried simply not starting FS2Crew by not clicking the DISP SEL button. I was able to perform the cockpit setup pretty well, except that I could not find a way to activate the EADI and EHSI displays. Adjusments within the EFIS control panel had no effect--the two displays remained dark no matter what.In order to get th…

Ok, 1stly sorry if this has been mentioned before, i have not searched as didnt have a clue what to search for :)2ndly, this may be nothing at all to do with fs2crew......So there i am, climbing to my cruise level, everything going well, all checks done etc. have autopilot on, when suddenly.......'Autopilot disengaged' says the captain :|Look at my instruments, my speed is reading zero, as is my altitude. i can control the plane, but have no control over power, the engines are running but sitting at idle. The nav etc had all turned off.Is this anything to do with fs2crew? anyone else had such a happening? All i could do was end the flight

Hi Brian, thanks for a wonderful concept and product.Just a quick comment on basing the descent flows on the TOD from the FMC. A lot of the flying I do is without the FMC as the trips are quite short. I could use the FMC but there are no intermediate waypoints in the database near the airports I fly to. Navigation is done solely using a VOR and an NDB.So my question is:can a technique be made to use FS2Crew without the FMC TOD entry. By this I mean a button or something to tell FS2Crew that TOD is imminent?Maybe something for future versions.keep up the great work!Jezza

Hi there,Random question. Amazingly the ATR fs2crew creates the takeoff data cards etc.I guess it takes the weights from the atr load editor, however do these weights take into account the fuel you load within FS??Sorry just wondering! Thanks and i am going to be buying a great product!RgdsMark

Hi all You Readersthere is a huge problem. Since the last few times I used FS2crew ATR the FA doesn't announce "Cabin RDY" after Post Hotel anymore. But up to that point it works all very well. When Th FA has to react FS2crew seems to stop or to wait. My ATR works on. When I put the MB I still can hear "why don't we do that a little later" from the CA. Post Hotel Items are done before. What am I doing wrong with Fs2crew ATR ? Notice, that all Updates (ATR and FS2crew) are installed and FS2crew even has been reinstalled. Thanks a lot for Your HelpMichael

I have just completed the ATR tutorial flight (after, lol, having tried it for 2 times) and I have to say: Wow, very nice. I absolutely loved the attention to detail. Even the PA and Intercom was functional. Those are the little details that I just love about this add-on.I was initially hestitant about the various "click spots", because it sounded difficult and confusing in theory, but I was actaully surprised how well it did work and how fast I was able to memorize the spot and their purpose.Just a few things came into my mind that I would consider for improvement for future versions:- The "main button" and "secondary button" is a great idea, but I think it would be a lo…

JohnWhat would be good is to record our own voices for the captains part then find several other voices for the FO sets. We could also do a FO set and swap. That way you could change your FO depending on where you were or your mood :)Has anyone got a list of the scripts and files used?Any good wav recording software you can recommend? I remember reading somewhere about a package where you could record constantly and press a button to split into separate wav files then carry on talking. A lot easier than doing single start/stop recordingsregardsGraham

I've read both forums and couldn't find a solution. I know the standard practice of turning on nav radios then comm radios in order for the xfer button to work. I do just that... however when I select the xfer button a red 'act' light flashes and does not change the stby freq. to the active freq. I have flown several flights and have not had this problem until recently... I did just install sp3 recently... I don't know if this is an issue or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, first off, being proud owner of the brand-new atr+fs2crew install after reading the manual two times already ;-), I am very excited to go the long way on the steep learning curve. However I just realized on the flight1 website that there are pending updates for Fs2Crew AND the ATR, which are _not_ included in the respective installers. So as not to ruin my fresh install, what would the update sequence be ?Here's the baseline: FS2Crew and ATR are newly installed from the website installer as of yesterday. My hunch is, that I'd update the ATR first, and then the FS2Crew.Or are the updates not interdependend and the sequence of updating doesn't really matter. Thanks and…

I was one of only a handful of people who found himself unable to run the ATR config mgr app after installing FS2Crew (not to insinuate that it was FS2Crew that caused the problem - seems after talking to many it was likely antispyware software that deleted some critical module). I was never able to solve this problem despite input from many. The last suggestion was to reinstall windows and that is just far too painful of a thought! Especially since everything else works fine. So, after several months on my harddrive I really decided it was time to try my best to get this running somehow. I know I only need to copy a panel.cfg file out of the "options" file and into the …

Hi,I've read the manual several times, but the little section about non precision approaches is not clear to me ! Each time, I click on the wrong button at the wrong moment !Is it possible to write a detailed tutorial (from approach check list until touch down) for a VOR DME Approach ? This tutorial should contain the exact sequence of mouse click (when do I click on airspeed indicator, when for Main button and when for second button). Thanks for your help on this wonderful product.Stephane
