Hi,I (am trying to) learn the FSCrew ATR version.I have a question relating the F.A. module. Since I fly the ATR only for Cargo can I ommit the F.A. calls etc or is it an integral part of the flow (and application)? Also a request:Can you please make the font in the manual black instead of gray? After printing black reads much better than gray.

Hi ALL,Thanks to everyone who developed and beta tested this great addon. When I first installed the ATR version, the watch (I think looked normal), that is no black background behind it showing up. But now I cannot seem to get rid of the background.I have saved the config manager, resolution is 1280*1024, I start with the default cessna, sometimes saved and sometimes creating a flight (does not help). I load in the 2d view.Do I have to uninstall and reinstall to correct this? Thanks a bunch,

Followed all instructions per the manual and this forum on FS2Crew installation and setup. I'm NOT using saved flight, starting in the default C172, and getting a similar problem as a few others have reported on here. Namely, after trying to load the ATR, FS reports a fatal error in regards to "fs2crewsec.gau" or "atc.dll" (happened differently for several times I've tried it, sometimes reporting the first gauge and sometimes the second .dll). Either way, I'm getting nowhere. I did run the ATR config manager (twice!) and checked that I am set for cold-and-dark. Any thoughts???TimP.S. According to installer, I have v.2.1 of the ATR and then installed FS2Crew ATR edition.

You'll have noticed the bit at the back of the tutorial where the possibility of performing a turnround instead of a simple aircraft shutdown is described. I didn't give it a lot of thought when I first read it, and I confess I figured it was a bit of a gimmick because for any number of reasons it is often neither possible nor desirable to carry a flight on in FS. Depending on the route just flown, it's usually wiser to restart FS to make another flight. Also, the FMCs of many addon aircraft can get a bit twitchy if you try to set them up twice in one session. However, we're supposed to be flying Regional here and short flights followed by QTRs of no more than 25-30 minute…

Have purchased ATR and FS2Crew ATR this morning. Installed ATR and it runs OK with all my settings in ATR cfg manager.I then installed FS2Crew then rerun the ATR cfg manager and reset and redid my settings and saved it.Reload FS9 and load Cessna - go to airport (have tried these EGCC,EIDW,RKPC,EGLL,KORD,KLAX) and same error cannot load the gauges and the aircraft will be disabled. I'm back Bryan Denis (the Menace - the one with the funny 172 panel!! - am using the one of the FS9 disc now):) :)

Hi!FS2Crew ATR Flowchart is a handy summary of the manual (only 8 pages). It includes nearly all reactions and actions of all positions (Captain, First Officer, Flight Attendant and Ground). You still have to read the manual but after that you can use the flowchart and keep the manual as a reference. Now this is good for the tutorial flight and all standard flights shooting ILS-approaches.All special procedures will follow in a few days in the next version. You can find it on AVSIM in a few hoursViele Gr

BryanWell done with the ATR version. I've dusted off my F1ATR and it's going to be a late night tonight!I use a couple of touchscreens, plus my main monitor, for FS. In order to make life easier (and more fun), I got into the habit of moving the PMDG pop-ups to one of the touchscreens so that I could just press the various buttons rather than mess around with a mouse. As I work my way through the ATR tutorial I'm trying to do the same thing for the new pop-ups.Now for my question. Is there a way I can force all the pop-ups to be visible when I load the ATR rather than waiting for them to show during the flows? That way I can just shift everything to the other monitor righ…

Hello, after reading through the manual and hearing all those opinions here, I'm still not sure about buying this product. So I need some more hints from you.Studying the manual it seems to me that this program is a real click-o-mania. There are so much main, secondary buttons, hidden click spots, that I fear, I will be totaly confused when flying the airplane. Is it really fun to fly this airplane with so much more clicking and pressing buttons? It seems that whenever I press a wrong button at the wrong time I have to restart from the very start.Someone said, he needs a special checklist just for managing this program. That's what I thought also after reading the manual. It…

Ciao,if you want, we can download from AVSIM this operating checklist for FS2Crew use.DESCRIPTIONSThis "Operating Checklist" describes all necessary operation procedures needed for use FS2Crew/ATR Version in conjunction with the ATR72-Flight1. All the informations contained in this manual are directly taken from the "FS2Crew original manual" but reduced and re-adapted to allow the pilot to use them in a more user friendly way. This Operating Checklist manual has only 22 pages instead the more than one hundred pages of the original manual. Bryan,This was raised in another post and I confess that it had not occurred to me before, but what about pushback? I know that in reality ATRs pushback using reverse pitch but wouldn't there be some sort of dialogue with ground to accompany this, if only as a statement of intent?

I've been waiting for the ATR version of FS2Crew about as long as I've owned FS2Crew for the PMDG737. The 737 version was so good, and it sounds like Bryan took an already excellent product and made it better. And now that it's out, and it sounds like no one is having problems...I have +no+ time for FS! Work is crazy, family is crazy, and life in general is kinda crazy. I have yet to install the ATR version, though I'm hoping with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up in the States, I'll be able to dedicate a couple of long days to it soon.Oh well.Jon (KSEA)

Hey Bryan,One problem I'm running into. While going through the tutorial, if I screw up (which I'm doing regularly, and want to restart I am using the following procedure.1. Shutdown FS2. Restart with Cessna, etc, etc per instructions3. Swap to the ATR4. (Here's where the problem comes in) the DSP SEL button does not start FS2Crew. I have to go into the ATR Configurator and "reset" everything again to get FS2Crew to start?Any ideas?

Ok, call me picky and maybe overly sensitive, but I am disappointed that the release has not yet generated a headline on Avsim, yet all other FS websites have featured the release.I am a little disappointed in the editorial value of Avsim, because they have featured in the past an overprized cardboard cockpit, but yet no word on the FS2Crew release, which I would call significant (and some others that come into my mind - FSCargo?).

So far I am liking the program very much, but I did have a few problems that I'd thought I'd mention.1) Although I had the FMC programmed and activated, the FO did not change the flight number to 1201 and did not change the landing elevation to 400 (it remained at 100). I am 90% sure that the FMC was activated before he started his checklist, but I'll have to try again to be sure. However, I am positive that the FMC was activated long before he got to the landing elevation part of his checklist and yet he did not change this value. The takeoff data card was OK so other FMC info did get incorporated.2) I do have my name entered in the Flight Information Placecard Menu t…
