Hi!Once again me ;-)I just tried to start an IFR flight from EDDM to EDDW - but as soon as I enabled VoxATC I was instructed to call Munich approach. After tuning in the frequency the prompter told me to state: "Munich Approach Lufthansa 366 is with you leaving 1500 climbing to 5000". And I didn't even pushback yet ;-)I guess that's a problem of the Airport elevation of 1500ft, isn't it?VoxAtc seems to think I'm already airborne.Zane, do you (or somebody else of course) maybe know a work around???Thanx in advance.

Hi all,Just a heads up that 2.71 has been uploaded on the VoxATC server. There just a few fixes for bugs reported by users. Good news for all you night flyers, Tegwyn is going to work on adding selectable background colors for the prompter in a future release. I'll keep you posted.Zane

During all of my VoxATC flights I have to request descent as I am approaching my destination airport. VoxATC will keep me at cruise altitude if I don't initiate the request. Is it normal VoxATC procedure that I initiate the call or am I doing something incorrectly. Maybe I am missing a step.ThanksRobert

I'm hoping I can get some help from the forum to tweak my VoxATC for ADIZ operations under Class B airspace in the DC area. I'm a private pilot flying out of Leesburg, so here are some of the inaccuracies I've noticed (Details can be reviewed through the AOPA site.):"Dulles" Clearance, Approach and Departure should actually be "Potomac".ADIZ operations within the class B vail, but under the B airspace requires a ADIZ plan filed for flight in and out of the ADIZ. This is different then a flight plan for search and rescue in that it can expire if you don't call back and it doesn't mean that emergency crews will be out searching for you. Clearance and squawk code must be o…

Hello,I finished the IFR DEMO from Kansas City to Omaha. Things went well. Some things that could enhance the experience are:(1) Request Higher and Lower Altitudes,(2) Altemiter checks. On the this particular flight I was pretty given a straight in, instead of a standard 30' intercept for the ILS.I was handed off to Tower, and dialed in the frequency, but never prompted to contact tower. The FS ATC method is that you can contact tower, once the ILS approach clearence has been read back. I wasn't prompted to contact and report current position. I assume once I was close enough, the tower actually cleared me to land.Typically, I contact tower and report position (FS ATC…

I have installed four AT&T Natural voices. I can not get VoxATC to use more than 2 voices in a given flight. Most of times the Controller and Pilot use same voice talking to each other, which is kind of funny. All 4 voices are working properly and all can be made the default voice.Listening to only 2 voices is boring and confusing. Is there any way to force VoxATC to use all 4 voices? ThanksLitow

One of my beefs with FS ATC is the fact that they don't really do stepped descents. The Feel There ERJ for example, you can only descend at a rate of 1500-1800 FPM, even less especially below 10K with the 250 knot speed restriction. Can anyone comment on how VOXATC handles "the heavies" and stepped descents? And climbs for that matter? Flying the cessna demo is really cool, especially having to open a VFR flight plan, way cool! Also, go arounds, holds, traffic delays, would like to hear about also. Thanks!Barry

I really love the VOX ATC addition to the flight sim environment. Having flown in the ATC system I have experienced the stress of dealing with the additional workload of interacting with ATC. However, the default voices are horrible. I just installed the AT&T Natural Speech engine along with two 16 khz voices, Crystal and Mike. The two voices along with the speech engine are available at www.nextup.com for $35, and can be downloaded if desired. Just follow the default installation but install Crystal first as this installs the new speech engine. After installation call up the speech program in windows xp control panel and select the new ATT Mike voice as the default v…

Was very impressed. Most people that work with speech recognition and the speech API complain of the pronunciation. I will say that the recognition works really well, as long as you read what is prompted.Has anyone had a problem with not being able to understand the pronunciation? Especially, those of you who have the AT&T voices?A couple of quick comments.. Without using FS ATC, you loose the progressive taxi. Which you don't have in real life, so no big deal.. I have to dig out the aiport charts just like prior to FS ATC and its progressive taxi. Kind of a nice feature for us lazy people I guess.I am still kind of confused on how the FS AI traffic at 50% fits …

HiI would like to see VoxATC merge with flightplans developed in FSBuild2 without errors in vectoring to waypoints not on the flightplan.Great Job Team! This is a "Must Have" add-on!Chip B.

Hi!I used VoxATC now for some flight hours and have a few questions regarding it: *Sometimes during a flight the controller suddenly stops talking in midsence - and is never heard of again :-(Did anybody encounter the same problem??? And got it solved? It's very frustrating this way...*Is it possible to change the process priority to a higher level? I used to switch the fs9.exe to 'high' to keep it from stuttering - but this is not possible with VoxATC because the engine will simply stop. Even if I put the VoxAtcServer.exe on a higher level*On a flight to EDDS (Metar: EDDS 270920Z 01012KT 1400 R07/1200N -SN BLSN VV/// M06/M08 Q1011) ATC assigned me runway 07 visual approa…

I took some time tonight and made some videos of my simulator (home cockpit) and demonstrated the usage of TrackIR 3 and VoxATC together. Check it out:http://www.cessnasim.com/index.php?/archiv...tor-Videos.htmlWhat an awesome experience! Don't mind the quirks you may notice with me repeating myself. I have to do some additional training for my microphone. Don't laugh either :)

Trying to do a VFR flight from KPSP to KSAN but clearance is vectoring me straight towards the mountains after take off. I routed my first waypoint to the KPSP VOR but that didn't help any. Do I have to make an IFR flightplan with a SID to avoid the mountains even though I want VFR?

Greetings,I use FSBuild2 to compile flightplans, and export them to FSNav, PMDG FMC and FS9, so that they are all reading the same plan. I am finding that after departure, VoxATC will vector me as expected, then direct me to a waypoint not on the flightplan and then issues "resume own navigation". From there, getting back to the flightplan usually is very indirect. Why is VoxATC directing me to a waypoint not on the flightplan? I understand being vectored, but FS9 ATC will vector then direct to own navigation, not send me to an unlisted waypoint. Thanks!Chip B.

Just wondered if there is a strategy for updates. Should we check the download link regularly to see if changes are being made? Many thanks

I've noticed that the ATIS dewpoint of the departure airport is always zero. That's while using ActiveSky. Is that something not modelled, or do I have another problem? Thanks, keith

Finally got the demo working and Im just need to understand how the flight plan and VoxAtc interact. I created a flight plan using fsnav where my cruising altitude was fl310 but VoxAtc insisted I remain at FL200. I dont remember now if I was still in the airport airspace and voxatc need me at this altitude. I just remained at fl200 until I reached BOD as per flight plan. Altough I was desending according to the flight plan when I was talking to approach the text I had to say said I was climbing to fl200 although I really was descending.I was forced to say this about 3 times when talking to ATC. I must be missing something. Apparently it seems to me that VoxATC doesnt care…

I also get hung up during taxi instructions, apparently on the word "via". Is there any way around this in either the general or flight plan training?I also get hung up at other times, and when that happens I justdisenable, then re-enable VOX ATC. Is there a chance that I'm getting hung up because of a processor overload, or do I just needto keep training until I get to the 95% recognition levels talked about in the manuals? I sometimes use VOX ATC with PMDG 737NG and FS2Crew . . . so I wonder if I'm stretching things a bit. By the way, I'm VERY happy with the program overall. Just wondering how to use it to its full potential. Thanks in advanceSlugger

VoxATC is telling me to turn right to 315 instead of left to 315.Here's the setup:I have a flight plan from Charlotte (KCLT) to Atlanta (KATL). I'm told to taxi to 36L. At the hold line, I'm cleared for takeoff and told to turn right to heading 315 after takeoff. At the hold line I'm facing west, so 315 would be a right turn. The first time I flew this FP, I thought I was supposed to do a 270 (+ or - )degree turn to the right to heading 315. Just after take off, while I was turning right, I was told to turn LEFT to 315. If I'm lined up on 36L, 315 would be to my left, at the hold line its to my right.I might be missing something, but it seem like VoxATC is giving one t…

HiJust seeking some advice. I have constructed two flight plans which start and end on the same runway. This is just for learning purposes. The plans are constructed using FSnavigator and eported to FS9 and PMDG737.They load okay and appear to be valid but just before take off I am given a heading that vectors me off the flight plan. These vectors continue when airborne. Is it that VOXATC is cannot cope with being sent back to the same runway on a flight plan or am I doing something fundamentally wrong?Another problem is that when taxying to the runway I am given a 'Contact' Instruction. Almost always the VOXATC cannot understand my readback and keeps asking me to 'say agai…

I was trying the demo version again at the weekend, with a created flightplan between Mineapolis and Kansas. However, after tuning to ATIS as requested, then tuning to Clearence, I clicked my joystick button assigned to the mic and read my clearence request....no response....clicked again to repeat (oh.oh..no click sound) and nothing, then beep..beep..beep continuous sound coming from speakers and nothing on the screen seemed to respond. Pressed Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up Task Manager and the CPU was running at 100% having suddenly jumped from virtually nothing.. Had to quit from the sim, as even disabling VOXAtc did not stop it. I have never experienced this problem wi…

Im having trouble getting VoxATC to respond beyond the taxi instructions it gives me for a flight from Evansville KEVV to Indianapolis KIND.The taxi instructions say "Taxi to runway 22 via alpha delta two zero."It seems to hang on the word "via", at least that's what appears on the prompter. However, whenever I run the voice trainer and load the flight plan, it prompts me "Taxi to runway 22 via alpha and golf delta two zero."Any idea what the problem may be???Of course, I havent yet done the obvious of trying another flight plan, but Ill do that later.ThanksJohn WhiteNewburgh, IN
