Hi everyone.I have a GForce 6600 GT PCI Express card. When I fly, I have it in full screen. Whenever I turn off the VoxATC prompter, or even disable it after using the prompter on full screen, my screen starts to flicker wildly. I have to ALT-ENTER to windowed mode then back to full screen again to make the flickering stop. Also, I'd like to see the prompter use smaller text and take up less real-estate on my screen.

VoxATC uses the Microsoft speech recognition engine which is crippled by running ErrorGuard. After running ErrorGuard, VoxATC will not run displaying a fatal error message because the voice recognition engine can no longer run.

(1) Is there any FPS hit on the Flight Sim computer? WideFS compatibility should be high priority.(2) There are replacement voices for the standard MS SAPI 5.x that are not as robotic as the MS voices. I am researching this right now. I am just wondering if you have to change VOX ATC to recognize the new voices.I'll report back my findings.Barry

Zane,I purchased VoxATC and use it with long IFR flights.Flight from CYYZ (Toronto Pearson) to CYHZ (Halifax Intl)AirBus A320, at FL390, flight time 2 hours.Departure SID and STAR filled out, everything just wonderful.Enroute, around YSJ Vor, ATC routed me in a complete 360 degree circle and resume Fly Plan. I beleive it was an emergency.Again, just before MLT Vor, ATC routed me in a 360 degree patern, and then resume Fly Plan. I don't mind maybe once, but twice in the same flight. I was 21 minutes late for arrival at Halifax.I though I let you know and have some of your comments. The program is well done and I enjoyed it very much, once you learned how to set SID and STAR…

A curious thing has started happening with VoxATc.I have a registered copy, in case you're wondering.Anyway, whenever I activate the module, the program installation screen starts up, and I have to cancel about three times before itll quit. Then VoxATC runs normally.Any idea what's going on??John Whitenewburgh, IN

Hi there,First of all excellent program! This definately takes flight simulation up to a new notch of realism. Ok, I create a flight from Orlando Sanford (KSFB) to Melbourne, FL (KMLB) with calm weather and clear skies. When calling for my taxi clearance, I call for VFR to the SoutEast. Now, KSFB has 4 (8) runways, 9L/27R, 9C/27C, 9R/27L and 36/18. I am given taxi clearance to runway 36, which is very unusual for this airport anyways. So, I'm taking off north to depart southeast. No problem, but the winds are calm. Wouldn't the best runway to use be 9L? Especially since I'm parked right next to it. At least let me take off runway 18 since I'm going south. The interesting …

This has gotten me perplexed. It's the trial version. After all the installation and voice training...this happens. It says, "2.6 Initializing...", then gives me, "Fatal Error! Disable VoxATC!" Despite my pride, I hope this is user error. An easy fix would be great. Wanna use this program bad.

Im bored here at work, so Im just thinking up things...Are the VoxATC voices triggered inside flight sim but originate outside the program??I guess what Im getting at is wondering if it would be possible to channel them to a separate speaker or headphones away from the sounds of the flight sim, ie. engines, environment, etc.??Johnnewburgh, IN

Sometimes VOX ATC drops off during an IFR flight. Is there some sort of "envelope" you have to stay insidein order for the program to continue to have you under air traffic control?Of course, if you disenable, then re-enable VOX ATC, ATC willusually come back as though nothing has happened. Thanks in advance,Slugger

When I am less than 60nm from the destination airport, I check Arrival ATIS to get the landing runway. However, just about every time, Approach wants me to use another runway, which means reprogramming the FMC, and selecting new approach plates, etc. I'm wondering why the runways do not match more often. Here's something very cool I learned: Instead of scrolling thru pages of options in the prompter to try and read the runway or taxiway you want, you can just ask for it, without selecting the prompter number. Woah! Who knew? Probably just another part of the manual I haven't read. What a sweet program. Now, if I can just get my wife to understand voice recognition.kei…

Howdy.First of all, what a great program! Man, talk about cockpit management. It sure is different actually tuning the radios and talking the talk instead of just making a menu selection. Is there any way to change the font size in the prompter? That would make the window smaller. Sort of like AdvDisp in Radar Contact. Or, could the window be docked? That would make it only appear in some views. It's not like you can just eliminate it because it has essential options in it.Also, although I've unchecked all the ATC boxes in FS, when calling ATIS, I always get the FS guy giving WX reports. Any way to shut that guy up?Again, terrific product. A stand alone radio stack…

When it works the imersion factor goes way up. Oh, I've had my problems learning it but for the most part I like it. I wonder if I will ever be able to use it without the prompt. I'll keep trying. I have to admit I'm getting better at it but there always seems to be something new to catch me. I flew an IFR flight from KRHV Reid-Hillview to KMRY Monterey using Q99 South County and SNS Salinas as waypoints. My clearance was to 3500 feet. - not an IFR altitude. Next came a turn to 265 degrees and then to 150 degrees which headed me right for the mountains south west of SanJose. Having flown this area I knew I could go through the notch in these mountains because I'v…

How do I work around this problem (other than the obvious)?VOXATC requires I report passing through one altitude for another. If VoxATC is talking with another aircraft, I have to wait my turn to reply. By that time I am no longer at "7,500 decending to 5,000". I might be at 7,100. That means I will always need the prompt visible to see the altitude I am supposed to say I'm passing through, even though I may be well above or below it. Could VoxATC catch the altitude value when the PTT button is pressed or could it allow me some leadway when I report an altitude?Enjoying the demo,Richard

I like to use VoxATC once in awhile but by no means every flight. Problem is when I disable it, some of the keyboard shortcuts remain active - and at least one (the vox window popup) conflicts with a switch in my homecockpit. Very annoying! Anyone know if it is possible to change shortcuts or disable them altogether? ThanksDavid

I am very interested in this program-but it is a lot of US $$$'s.I don't have a problem paying this-but I really need to evaluate more what it can do before I am comfortable parting with this amount of money-and I don't feel the 3 canned demos give enough info.Is it possible to add a few more to the demo-or better-the possibility for an end user to try a single user customized flight?http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

If I want to show off VoxATC to my friend, do I have to start from the very beginning ofthe setup for his voice to be recognized? I'm assuming I'd have to start from scratch. Can VoxATC and the speech recognition be set up so thattwo different voices can be remembered, with only onebeing used per flight? If only one voice can be used at one time, does myfriend's voice overwrite mine once it's been taughtto the two programs? Thanks in advance,Slugger

Hello! Is it possible to integrate VOXATC with traffic files from other companies like My Traffic oder FS Live Traffic? Will my aircraft be integrated in the general traffic flow? Thanks,Tom

Flying IFR KDAB KGNV, all goes well till I'm cleared for position and hold. At that point, the tower no longer actsas if I'm there. Other planes cleared to land through me, etc..Any thoughts? Thanks in advanceSlugger

Was flying VFR Twin Oaks to Tacoma Narrows, approach brought me in to the ILS to 17 and wouldn't give me a visual. On about three mile final I had been switched over to tower, given landing approval, then a Cessna called in for taxi instructions (?). Tower answered back "taxi instructions not available from this unit, 121.8 (which is ground frequency)". Now I've had this happen in real life when I was training in San Diego, had the radios set up to swap ground and tower but called tower for taxi instructions, they told me just about the same thing... interesting indeed, and what a neat thing to include in the programming. What'll these guys think of next?Zane

Just made my first (demo) IFR flight. Very, very impressed. As others have reported, I forgot the voices were robotic very quickly, because their reactions are lifelike. Very impressive recognition. I did ask for an altitude change (just to try it out) and initially got a "Say again", but then it recognised what I wanted - and declined ;-) So - great stuff. But

Hi,I have tried the demo flights a few times and like many others am intrigued by the programme, but as yet am not convinced whether to purchase, as I havn't yet satisfied myself that it is flexible enough.Last night, it prompted me to report to Departure that I was "leaving 4000 descending 2900", however I was climbing at the time ! How closely does the programme monitor FS and base it's responses accordingly? On another issue, I think the programme would be much improved and more flexible if it was able to be less rigid on some replies. In the real world pilots often only read back key items. For example having to always read back all the Airport names etc. is not som…
