Gamespy on FSX is becomming a burden for our Club that fly's on Multiplayer.(we are not a VA, some ATC sessions, mostly prop hops)Now that we are growing to a descent size, we are interested in moving on to our own "server".We don't no where to begin, so all info is appreciated...------From what I understand, we would use something like FShost to connect....-We are looking NOT to run a server from one of our computers, but purchase a Virtual server (if that is possible)...any help is greatly appreciated...Thanks,PO'

Does anyone know of a tracker for fsx servers i saw one once that showed who was in the server and where with a map

Guys, Houston we have a problem, can't see others in MP session on Squawkbox online. Is there any ports to open or setting with the antivirus installed.Need help wan't to see others when flying

A while ago I disabled DX10 in FSX options, in order to see the textures in an aircraft I downloaded. Problem was, without DX10, FSX would freeze for 10-15 seconds every 10-15 seconds, usually on final approach. I read somewhere that if I put UIAutomatianCoredll in the FSX main folder, it would cure the freezes. Anyway it didn't. I have now reinstalled DX10, no more freezes but cant see any textures in some add-on aircraft, and the shimmering taxiways are I know, a much reported side effect with DX10. Has anybody else had this problem?

Hey everyone!I got a question about shared cockpit feature and I really hope someone does know something about it, because I'm almost desperate.Some background: Me and a friend of mine are quite keen on flying a 3rd party payware jet airliner as pilot/co-pilot over VATSIM or IVAO. Hi all,I seriously need help. Myself and m friend have been trying to fly online only when we hit a major set back. WE JUST COULDNT CONNECT! He has FSX Deluxe version and i have the standardedition. Greetings to any responding multiplayer-savy GURU.I use to fly 1-on-1 (direct connect) with FSX SP1, XP, router (firewall) and cable modem.Now I've upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate/64; added Acceleration; moved from Comcast cable to AT&T's Uverse digital service.I can connect to the Gamespy server (usually only briefly before getting disconnected) but am unable to connect to a visible session created by a friend for us. Hi Team,we are running a LAN at home with FSX.Can connect and fly together and even share cockpits but when we try a mission the client connecting cannot find the host and we cannot connect - go back to free flight and no problems.Any ideas?Scott

On my old FSX/Windows XP box I never had a problem using my Logitech USB headset in multiplayer environs.I've now upgraded to a Windows 7 box and have had no success getting the headset working. I find the new (improved?) control panel settings in Windows 7 very confusing, and I'm thinking the problem is there. Or, perhaps, there is a radio setting that I now have to set, that I haven't had to be concerned with in the past?Every now and then in multiplayer, after trying to adjust the configurations, I'll be able to hear some chatter from one or two players. Hi,I have a problem that I do not see some AC when on ground, nor the texture or callsign, but I see it when I'm in the air.I have the filter unchecked and I have change in FSInn - Advance - PLN to a AC closest to orginal, then the callsign tell me its OK but only when I'm in the air ??Hope someone have a solution to the problemP

I'm just about to pull my hair out. I cannot seem to get voice or even chat to work in multiplayer mode. In FSX I log into multiplayer(Gamespy)and enter one of the numerous sessions (with green voice icon) but when I set up my flight I always get the red no voice icon. I've gone through and set up my mic (headset mic) and still no luck. When I launch the session and get in the game no ATC functions work...Am I missing something? I've searched the internet with no luck. I forwarded port 3783 on my router as suggested on a forum... still no luck. Its like the voice function isn't even installed.Please help before I'm bald.Tbrickey

I'd like to try the multiplayer aspect of FSX but I'm not sure of the best way to start. I've tried creating a GameSpy account within FSX but it just tells me that the maximum password length is 16 - even when I have made one up that is shorter than this. Taking a look in the forums, it looks like the FSX/gamespy interface and functionality could be better and I wonder if I'd do better giving this a miss and trying something else instead.The only other option that I'm aware of is VATSIM. I've taken a quick look at their web site. It does look somewhat daunting though :( .What I want is something where 'pilots' aren't permitted to fool around (eg trying to knock each other…
