Hello; I have an unusual problem. I hope it is easily fixed, I recently uninstalled some files that I thought were unimportant. A freeware aircraft, and there was another folder in the SimObjects folder that was empty. Ever since I have been unable to go into multiplayer. Its not that I can't connect or join in. The option for multiplayer in the FSX start up/ opening screen, is completely missing. Its not even a choice. I have had no other problems with multiplayer until this. Any ideas out there? What files are supposed to be in place for the multiplayer option to appear on the main screen?I cant recover the files (tried) and I can't remember what they were (senility?…

When friends and I play online, we like to find stupid places to land and take off (extreme bush flying). Sometimes, that tree just can't be avoided and, CRASH. After my virtual demise, I am never able to rejoin the "flying" session. I can watch from my "frozen on the runway" arcraft, but that is it.What am I doing wrong? help?... and dont say "don't crash". My son and I play FSX MP just on local network, but the chat typing is getting tiresome. Can we talk to each other with microphones? Before I go out and buy a couple of gaming mics, is there anything needed for us to talk to each other. Do I need Teamspeak or Ventrilo? Or will it just work as is?Thanks. This is for local play. Not interested in Gamespy connections.

I have just started trying to use Multiplayer. I have read all the Help in the Learning Center and a lot of other multiplayer tutorials. I have seen comments that it does not support complex aircraft like the Level-D or MAAM or RCS planes. I have read comments like if you have SP1 you can't connect with SP2 or Acceleration users online. I can connect to Game Spy. I have entered a session but get kicked out. Is there any step by step tutorial that explains the use of the multiplayer in detail once you are connected? Are the above comments true? Thanks and best regards, Bob.

Hi,Have done lots of hours online on IVAO but never tried the built-in multiplayer in FSX and thought I would try to setup a LAN session to be able to fly together with my son.When I choose to host a session on my computer he doesn't see my session and when he hosts a session I do see it on my computer but when trying to connect to the session it just says "Connecting..." and then nothing happens.We are on a wireless network using a D-Link router but can't see why it would be a port or similar problem since we're on the same network and on the inside of the router.Can someone tell me what the trick is to setup a LAN session in FSX? Well i can connect sometimes but i recently checked if my port was forwarded and it was a negataive and i dont know how to forward it if anyone knows how to do this please let me know. i have fs9 and vista and i have fshost to get the ip`s. i really just want to continue on the ultimate global tour.

Hello everyone! Love this site. This is a first time post for me.I am trying to use FSX in multiplayer (direct-connect) in a shared plane and still use ATC.I have no problem sharing the plane. However, the problem is with ATC while in this environment. It is greyed out in the pull-down menu for both the pilot and co-pilot. Do you use ATC differently while in multiplayer? Can it even be done without 3rd party software?In doing research on different forums across the web, it seems that other people are using ATC.Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Jim

I don't know where this forum thread should go, so I felt this section was my best bet.I've been trying to get the VTOL/Hover gauges to work in the AlphaSim MV-22 Osprey, the one provided by Rob Barendregt (Formerly available in AVSIM file library: RCBhca.zip). Hi all.When I'm hosting and doing ATC in multiplayer sessions I notice that people use different methods to set up the call sign for their aircraft. Microsoft hasn't helped as it uses one field (Airline callsign) to do 3 things namely (airline code, airline name and call sign). I've written a web page showing you how the callsigns are configured and there is a flie available for you to download that replaces the default airlines (Soar, World Travel, Orbit etc) with real airlines. www.flybva.co.uk/fsxenhancements/callsigns/Enjoy.

Our computers simply do not connect to each other period, they simply say unable to conneect, once we get to that point we cannot connect. We tried using the vvm channel freq box no help. We are open to all suggestions. WE really want to use this option and are willing to go the extra mile. We would happy to teach others as well. This may not seem like a big issue however, when you nephew who wants to become not just a good pilot but the best wvery learning tool is tremendous. I have provisional patent on a FSX gaming chair. So far the reviews have been great!!! It works for both the yoke system and TQ system. It also can be used for left hand fighter throttle and right hand stick. And best of all it costs under $400.00USA. Let me tell you its a real sweetie, when I have the site up I will let all know. If your a real gamer you may want FSUIPC for ease to set up your system.

Hi, can anybody help me please.I want to start and host a multiplayer session.All goes well till I try to select the Tower controller.I get an error message :aircraft initialization failure tower controller.So I guess the tower controller map in misc in simobjects is corrupt.Is there a solution other then reinstalling the whole chibang?Maybe sending me a copy of that folder?I don't know.Help much appreciated.Regards...Marc

Hello,I was wondering if anyone has been able to successfully share a downloaded/add-on aircraft in a multiplayer session. I have tried to do this before with a friend but everytime he joined the aircraft it would kick him out. Hello All,I can't see my friend in any multiplayer session, whether it is hosted by me, him, or someone else on Gamespy. It doesn't matter whether or not im in the tower or flying, i can't see him when he logs in. It says he is there, but i don't see his plane visually, i can't find him in my session info, and he is not on radar. Any answers or possible solution? Maybe its a glitch?
