Jim i have problem installed sp2 got the following error report exception has occured Index was outside the bounds of the array. I uninstalled active sky reinstalled then installed sp1 activated active sky program worked fine.Theni installed sp2 as soon as i imported flight plan the above error ocurred.Can u helps please................Regards robin

Hello Damian,What are the best settings for the long haul flights with ASX and SP2?I am doing my first test flight with the Level-D from Kdfw to Lfpg and I still get terribles wind shifts. I did set all to default after the upgrade but I checked the "Enhance Route Coverage". Do you think that might be the reason of the problem? I have no other add-on, use Fsx SP1 on XP pro on a quad core and a 8800 GTX.Thank you for all you work on this marvelous software.Christian

Hi AllJust installed SP2 for ASX and notice two entries after FSX is opened. These entries are seen on the download page of ASX as follows."Exception Received 14" and beneath these two entries is another entry stating: Reinforcing initial Depiction.Havn't had a chance to do a flight yet but everything appears to be O.K.Just wonder if the above entries are normal, I can not remember those entries prior to installing SP2.Tks. for any comments.Kenny G.

Reading another post about ASX SP2 this morning, reminded me of another old issue. Unfortunitly, I'm at work this morning and can't verify if it was ever addressed or working ATT. In ASX SP1 (or SP2), was the ability to successfuly import (or manually add) alternate airports into the ASX flightplan GUI ever addressed? I, and many others, use FSBuild2 to produce fightplans with alternates already designated and at one time this was not functional on the import-side of things. I'll have to verify this as soon as I get home.

Was just wondering because Im debating on using fsx sp2 update if that ever gets released, if it is going to screw up alot of addon aircraft.Im not having any trouble with fsx sp1 and asx sp1 at the moment and I dont feel like fixing anything if it isnt broken.

During my KIAD-EDDF preflight last night, I noticed some bad wind data in my mission briefing. The enroute winds at FL330 were typically 270/100 until just off the coast where your pseudostations were reporting winds 180/17 for several hundred miles then returned to normal. I'm trying load the weather for 8/29/05 (Hurricane Katrina) into FS9 via AS 6.5. After ensuring that the online updates are disabled, AS downloads this weather and the station report display shows the winds at KMSY (New Orleans)as being out of 0600 at 8 knots. Is AS not actually getting the historical weather for that date?

Finally got some hardware capable of running FSX OK, so I just bought ASX to go with it. What I see is the user interface is quite a bit different from previous versions going back to wxre! I'm having a little trouble following my old work flows that I used in ASV, so I was wondering if there was any kind of guidance of how the ASX interface compares to ASV. I have ASV-6 and FS9 I have tried everything I can think of to get overcast conditions to show when reported. I have read all of the posts I can find tried every setting suggested so I will post the cfg. file and see if anyone can see something that I cant. Hi,I noticed a problem with the use of ASX and RC4. If I start ASX first and start up FSX with the help of the "Start FSX" button in the ASX menu, I get an error message when I want RC4 to connect to FSX. I get the following message: "IPC timed out all retries". I can push a "retry" button but that will make the same message pop up.If I push the "cancel" button RC4 is terminated.If I start FSX first, next ASX and than RC4 I have no problem at all. Will you please verify attached screen is correct view as in Active Sky/Flight Environment.It looks to me some thing went wrong.When I fly in FS9 at day time . Size of the sun is now very LARGE.I did download "Real Environment Professional-Freeware" and un-installed again. It supposed to be give better Airport surrounding, and Runways, lights and Taxi ways.If this caused the problem. How can I correct the situation. HiSo I had ASX working perfectly before (or maybe I thought so), and after I had to reinstall windows things seem to go wrong.First of all, when I choose the airport in FSX it doesnt update in Active Sky. So I have the impression it only starts weather depiction during the flight. So here we come to the main problem : it's way to slow! I find a place on the map with overcast conditions, rain etc. Choose this airport (nothing hapends yet in ASX!). Start the flight. Now I have this location in ASX ... and a blue sky in the game. I'm posting this here because it's the first application I noticed the problem, and I know ASG is a .NET app. I just built this computer about two months ago, and I'm pretty sure it's the video driver or card causing it, but I don't know why. My specs are at the bottom by the way.Anyhow, whenever I open ASG or anything that seems to be .NET programmed, the program get's a screwy looking. The menus disappear and/or overlap and some of them lose colors, et cetera. Mousing over will make them react and kinda try to fix themselves, but not always. I've been trying to use VATSIM weather for New Zealand, but though the correct weather is downloaded, it doesn't seem to parse correctly in ASX.Please see attached image of ASX failing to parse what appears to be a perfectly legitimate METAR! This happens for all my VATSIM weather. Is the RMK section throwing it off?

I am using the process of elimination on what I have done or added since the my problems began, and I have recently (over the weekend) downloaded AS - and since I have downloaded I have had 2 problems with my panels and using the autopilot and FSNAV.. it seems First- and not all the time - once I hit the AP either on the plane or in FSNAV the plane goes into a steep dive.Second -once again random, and independent of the fist - I have run into is my speed gauges randomly go to zero and if in AO mode goes to full throttle.. HiI'm using both Xgraphics and Asx and it works pretty well. But I have some small problems with Asx:-Seems like Fsx and Asx winds dont always have the same direction. That wouldnt be a problem but I still have Fsx default winds in the game (dont know why?).. So the wind directions showed on the map and on the gauge are actually wrong and don't really help for landing etc-Sometimes I have kind of "flashes" or "glitches", dont know, like the whole atmosphere desapears for half a second. I guess Asx is updating weather. Is it standart or I can get rid of it? I have a 8600GTS with latest beta drivers and directx 9.21Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
