Hello Gang!I am in the process of getting my newly built custom machine. As part of this leap of faith, I'm going to have to re-install everything on to my new machine. When it is time for me to re-install ASX, can I just install the original program and drop the latest update on top or do I have to do a stepped update up to the latest release????Thanks for your input!Sincerely,Dennis D. Merry Christmas to all!Have a strange problem that I'm trying to resolve. Using the F/a-18 from Accceleration or the Eaglesoft Twin Comanche - when following a GPS flightplan using the A/P, the A/C flies with the right wing seriously low as if it were turning into a quartering wind. In this case the desired track was 50, the heading was 49 and the wind was 358 @37. To me, if anything, this would indicate that the left wing might be low to compensate for drift. The A/C is not turning.However, when I switched to the default Mooney - wings leveled and a/c followed track as expected.The wind data was obtained from the ctrl-z data.I've posted this at the Eaglesoft forum in cas…

Ive noticed this a few times after a violent windshift sometimes not all the time the airspeed indicator drops off to zero and if on (usually) auto pilot the engines zap up to 100%. Usually turning on deice or pitot heat fixes this. Anyone else

Hi,I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate with all updates, and FSX with Acceleration.I installed Xpax yesterday as Administrator. I also ran it as Administrator, and it seemed to be working fine. Hi,I've had XPAK now for about a week and as yet have not been able to use it as it won't connect to fsx on vista x64, I have tried to uninstall it but the simconnect.dll in the: "x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_none_e079b46b85043c20" can't be removed by me in normal or safe mode and I have admin access:I get the error:You need permission to peform this actionSimconnect.dllFile Descrption: Flight Simulator SimConnect clientVersion: 10.0.61355.0Date: 04/10/2007 18:38Size 38kI think I have run across this before that vista has a user better than an admin but I can't remember how i fixed it, any help would be appreciated.ThanksMike

Greetings everyone and I hope this post finds you in good health.I purchased AS6 in hopes of resolving the OVC issue that causes such frustration for me. I've completely given up on FSX/ASX so going to that version is not an option for me.I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for achieving OVC minimums using either AS6/FS9 or just the default FS9 interface?I'm not a fair weather pilot. I love the minimums, low visibility, and the absolute challenge of shooting a correct ILS/VOR/NDB approach. This was achievable using FS2002. Does anybody remember that? Hi,when I select the option to install X graphics textures, the message box which says please wait while installing never goes away.I've examined what's happening in procmon and it seems that the Xgraphicsenigine.exe program works as expected:Near the end installtheme.log is written and the last entry is ThreadExit (SUCCES).I guess that Activesky never sees that the program has ended succesfully...? However, in the taskmanager, the Xgraphicsengine.exe proces is still active. The only way to get rid of the message is terminate this process manually.My configuration:FSX SP2ASX + Xgraphics SP2Vista X86, 2MB, Core2duoNvidia 7600GT, latest WHQLthanks!Wanne.

Yesterday, I purchased XPax and with out any installation problem all downloaded Ok.Today when I tried to make my first flight I cannot shotdown gate video sound even I exited from XPax. Only way I can stop the video sound I have to restart my PC.Here are my some questions:1- How can I shotdown the Gate Video sound ?2- Does XPax makes any weight/balance calculation and gives to FMCTOW, fuel load and CG3- Do I need always exit from Flight and change screen go back XPax to make some changes?4- Do you have OPS manual?5- I noticed lost of 6-9 FPS after installation. HiWhenever I load X Pax FSX crashes with msvcrt.dll error.If I minimize FSX to start Xpax,When i bring FSX back up it freezes and then crashes generating the send problem to Microsoft message.This happens everytime,but works fine with FS9.I have FSX service pack 1 installed and also the hotfix for Xpax.Dont know whats happenning here,but FSX is plagued by this msvcrt.dll error since service pack 1 and unfortunately not many addons work without it installed.Looks like im gonna have to stick with FS9 when using XPax.Thank goodness I kept it on my computer when I bought FSX!!In my opinion FSX is just too unstable to get any enjoyment out of it,90 percent of my flying is with…

JimI don't know if this has been raised before but when you enter certain ICAO codes under "Briefing" when entering a flight plan in the departure or destination ID section of ASX you get an error message. For example if you enter 36U in the destination ID, (a valid icao code for Heber City) you get an error message in ASX saying "Please choose a proper Destination ICAO ID". Am I doing something wrong or is there a fix for this? (The same applies for Departure)I have installed all the service packs for ASX and XG.RegardsPeter Hayes

Hello! I have just reinstalled FS9 after some time away, and after getting a new computer running Vista 32. When I click on the Flight 1 wrapper, the AS6 .exe won't open. I have tried running as an administrator, and in win xp compatibility mode, and still nothing. When I ctrl-alt-del and get to the task manager, I see ASv6_Flight1_Wrapper.exe under the "image name" category, and it hovers at around 50% CPU usage. The Flight 1 wrapper screen never appears. Any ideas? Thanks!Paul

Hi,This isn't a big problem, but when I initially start ASX, I get the start up screen that is either blacked out in places or mixed up graphics for a few seconds till it starts downloading. Is this normal?

Have applied the hot fix.Some issues I am having with the aircraft seating -- If you set up "COACH" only, with zero "First Class" the seating diagram shifts to the left and will only show rows 1-14, no matter how many rows there are. Add even one First Class seat and the diagram re-appears correctly. I would like to be able to use this with zero First Class to show the numerous aircraft/ airlines that are single class only.- It seems that again, when using the CUSTOM layout that the seat layout must be the same for First and Coach. I can not have, for instance 24 First class in 6 rows of 2x2 and 156 Coach in 26 rows of 3x3. Again, would like to use the OTHER Diagram r…

I downloaded XPax yesterday and installed it. Today I tried out my first flight and got the passengers boarded (all 7 of them on a B733). Took off and heard the announcements going on. During climbout when I was was about FL250 on my way to FL330 I changed PC's to have a look at what was going on. Checked the manifest okay and then went to the layout. After a small delay it brought up the layout and I went to hover over a seat and the whole thing just vanished. Checked the running programs and it had gone.I see there is a hotfix dated 22/12 so even though I downloaded my version on the 23/12 (NZ Time) I downloaded it and have now installed it but the issue was not mention…

I've been having some bad performance problems with FS9 lately, most of which have been solved with a good defragging. But one thing remains. When climbing out of Chicago this morning, overcast and snow, I had some stutters. This was when I was up in the clouds - on the ground it was smooth as silk. Same again when descending into St. Louis, when I got to about 3 or 4 thousand AGL. Just bought xpax and installed it and after a few little issues getting it to connect, I am getting strange flashing bits on the aircraft and scenery. This only happens when I have xpax maximized. If I minimize it or reduce it to the system tray, all flashing stops.Goran
