Hi,I have installed and run ASX on the computer where FSX is installed without any problems. FSX and FSX SDK are updated to SP2.I am now trying to install ASX in a networked configuration. I've followed your instructions in the documentation and tested the connection successfully using AI Traffic.exe. I am getting multiple "AI object added" and "AI object removed" messages so communication seems to be happening. But whenever I try to start ASX on the client, I get the "Simconnect SP1 managed version was not found to be correctly installed ..." message. I have done several uninstalls / reinstalls of the simconnect client, but the problem persists. Unloading anti-virus softw…

I just upgraded AS6 to AS6.5. When I open the folder, the only documentation I have is for the original version 6. Is there any update to the manual for any new features, or is the old ver. 6 manual all that is needed? Thanks. Tom

I have been a long time user of active sky for fs9 and love the program so i purchased the X version. I have a decent high end computer and frame rates in fsx are generally ok, but when i run active sky x, my machine gets killed and slows to a unusable crawl. When I close asx everything returns to normal. I am running fsx under xp with all service packs including acceleration .Any thoughts? I could try installing and running fsx and graphicsx on a networked 2nd computer but not sure how well that would work with this productPeter K P.EngCF-MMZToronto Ontario CanadaPMDG 747,737and 747FLevel D 767PSS Airbus pro A340-300In reality, a Mooney 201 Pilot

I am using AS v6.5 in FS X. It appears to work well.I can only Open AS from the icon on the Desktop. When I am flying (FS X) I fly in full view, not Windows mode. Therefore I have to go into Windows mode inorder to see the Desktop icon, and open AS.Is there any way of opening AS when flying, in full viewing mode and not in a Windows mode? Thank you very much.Delta

This is a program I really want to like but at the moment it mystifies me. There are things which don't work as they were intended as noted in other threads such as the weight calculation and the fact that the nos. in the manifest, in my case, are always different, by two, from those in the diagram. I understand that these issues are being looked at and am perfectly happy to wait for an update even if it takes weeks as noted below. There is one issue, however, and I assume it to be an important aspect of the program's intention, where I feel it unreasonable to wait this amount of time. I refer to the passengers' satisfaction.I have completed just six flights. On each…

I have had AS6 since it came out and have not had this problem before. Normally, my weather updates are at regular intervals with the green METAR update bar scrolling at set times, including when I return from a pause or menu. I just completed a flight from KSNA to Honolulu using the archive download. I downloaded weather from October 30 and 6 hours of archive for the flight. Everything was fine during the flight but upon arrival at Honolulu, the weather started updating every few seconds with drastic cloud changes, as well as the green scroll bar every few seconds. I exited to the desktop and the AS interface kept updating so I couldn't open the options menu. I had …

Hi,This was an answer for an other old topic but it doesnt seem to go up, so..Here is the list of bugs I managed to find.-Select a custom capacity for an aircraft. Click apply. Then go to "aircraft panel". If the aircraft selected in the aircraft panel is your actual fsx aircraft then your pax capacity/preset would be deleted and reverted to deafault. If there is any other aicraft selected then you will keep your seats schema.-I wanted to reproduce a crash but unfortunately Xpax doesnt seem to work at all anymore. I'm getting this kind of messages:"Unhalted exception is occured in your application."Here is the text:See the end of this message for details on invokingjust-i…

Hi,I am using XPAX over Widefs and all connects fine. When I start the program it searches for all new aircraft within FS and I would have thought this would then update the aircraft tab in XPax. This does not happen. Also, I would have thought that the program would pick up the aircraft I am using within FS and thereby set the current aircraft type and seating arrangement automatically. This does not happen either.I have not yet had a flight work as I thought it would work.Am I using the program the correct way?thanksKeith

Current observation at KSEA is 21005 7 -RA BKN046 OVC055. I am using B1106. Depiction sitting on the runway is okay, but when I slew upwards to test overcast below depiction I notice that both cloud layers at 4600 and 5500 are very thin. In fact, above the overcast looks like overcast was just an illusion and I can see ground textures. When I load XGraphics textures there's a slight difference but overcast below looks more like haze than solid cloud. There's a marked improvement when I turn off both Visibility Graduation and Ground Fog Simulation but I can still see the Puget Sound coastline when all I should see is overcast below.I tried increasing the thickness of the ov…

Hi, I originally posted this in the FSX forum, but as I got no answers, and it happens using Hifi products, I'll try it here as well.I'm running ASX and XpaX on a second computer through Simconnect. Usually this works flawlessly, but sometimes ASX and XpaX are unable to connect to FSX on the first computer. Both systems have static IPs, and the firewall on the FSX computer is turned off. The only solution I have found thus far is to reboot the FSX computer, simply restarting FSX does not help.Has anyone experienced anything similar, and more importantly, does anyone know how to solve this?

It looks to me like XPax isn't able to detect when I'm doing a replay (I'm using the FS Recorder module). For example, today I had a hard landing which deducted satisfactory rating as it should have, but then I did a replay using the recorder module to get some pictures and XPax seemed to detect the same hard landing and deduct additional satisfactory ratings. Is there something in the works to detect replay conditions? Thanks!

I've been using AS 6.5 in my old XP computer and FSX. I've got a new computer with Vista and I'm having a problem getting AS 6 to install. It can't seem to find the Docs &Settings/User Name/App. Data path. I guess because it is a little different in VISTA.Can someone give me some guidance here. Can't get ASX for a while yet so I'll have to try to make due with the older model.Thanks.Jim

While not a 'problem' per se, I've seen this a few times and it has gotten me curious.Sometimes when flying, using ASX, the clouds it generates are on two layers, but identical, yet slightly apart, giving them a multi layer blurred look. It's basically like one of those 3D pictures you need the red/green glasses for (but obviously the clouds are not red & green!)Its hard to explain so I've provided a screen shot below:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182742.jpgAny others experiencing this? Any ideas on fixes?

Hello All:After selecting my choices in the graphics section, I fired up AS6.5 for the actual weather outside which was visibility 1/16 th of a mile, overcast (no kidding!) and snowing. I waited a bit and AS6 finally came through like a champ depicting the weather just as it was moutside, with one exception. The overcast cloud base textures were decidedly on the blue side, not greyish/white as what was outside.I selected "greyisn" in the haze category in the graphics section. What can I do to get the overcast to a grey color instead of a blue tint?ThxChris

Hi,I've got a bit stuck running the XGauge Installation Wizard for Active Sky X. When I get to the Choose Installation Mode screen(please see attachment), it says to select your options and press NEXT, however, I have no options and pressing Previous or Next does nothing. I can click on Previous or Next but this screen still remains. Can anyone provide some help to get me past this screen? Thanks,Hugh Costello

After years of Active sky use, I have run into a problem. Went to start ASv6.5 today, and it went into setup, and was asking for a .msi. I tried to find it but had no luck so decided to uninstall then reinstall. But, I now cannot reinstall as I get an Error 1402 (see pic). Please can someone help? RegardsPaul

First of all: Thanks you for yet another innovative and excellent add-on. I have to say that I didn't expect much from XPax, but on my first flight I had to "Ooooh" and "Aaah" while viewing the "Passenger Cam". Everything works for me as intended. You guys are one of the few who have a vision of what fellow flight simmer want (well, at least speaking for myself). XPax is immersive, innovative and helps to fight a little bit the boredom on flying with the heavies. Here are some suggestions:- Create a download database for the "passenger cam" and audio uploads. I think that probably a lot of people would like a tad more variety and would be willing to tape their flight exper…
