The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  3. Still messing around with XP12 as well. In the process now of gettting some ortho stuff in place and still seeing what may or may not port over from XP11 ok. Some random shots from threee "take a break" flights. First, a "proper" (non big nose) 747 out of KLAX. Not sure about the lighting and atmospherics in these, but I will be playing with some LUA scripts later to see if that helps. I'd forgotten about all that stuff but after a prompt on the XP forum I found some stuff on the .org site to play with. Now a few in the Tollis A319 north out of KEWR (DD's airports and NY in use here, along with SImheaven and V_Sims ortho)) …

  4. Still putting my XP12 together. Going nicely and I'm really enjoying it. Here's a few of the 747-100 from XP11 happily burbling along around Seattle. Heading south out of KSEA, then turning back and heading north. Don't ask me why, I just felt like it! Weather gets a bit rough as well. I haven't abandoned MSFS by any means, but this is looking and feeling as good as MSFS in my book, where stuff like TE is available, And actually, if I stay up in the big birds a bit higher than my ususal thing it looks pretty good in most places with the SimHeaven stuff and VSims ortho. To the point where …

  23. the second part of my trip around KSAT, and this is focussed on the city and its surrounds. Heading away from KSAT towards the city Interesting looking place. Strip mall? Factory outlet store? This is the sort of thing I really enjoy. When the PG works like this, it's wonderful. The difference compared to hand crafted models is that you get the real grubbiness of a place. Handcrafted POIs and scenery buildings generally are almost always in pristine condition and even when very detailed look like the models they are. With scenery like this, you get all the grime and decades of decay thrown in as well. We need more rust in the sim! Some sort o…
