The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This is not me playing silly b*ggers again. But as I came out from my Tower Bridge escapade this oil platform was sitting here next to the O2 arena. Not seen it before. Anybody else getting this? I have True Earth GB South here, and also (at the bottom of my scenery.ini file) all the Simheaven stuff. I guess it might be the later even though it's at the bottom of the list.

I re-posted some pix as a reply recently in another topic, to show some lunacy/fun I had in MSFS originally. I commented at the time that I wondered if the much vaunted flight model in XP would even let me do such things or just bounce me out of the sky due to some arcane rule of aerodynamics or somesuch. So I thought I'd recreate the event in XP12. And hey - it seems Austin loves a loony too! (or at least is prepared to tolerate one). So here we go, out from Heathrow in the Tollis A319, one of my faves for XP, and off east over the Smoke. Over Hyde Park Chas and Cam's bijou city pad Swinging round to follow the river now Post Office Tower (as I s…

Half a dozen shots just checking to see if my XP11 A380 works ok in XP12. Seems to be fine for my use (no idea if any of the systems actually work, of course) This is the default EGLL. I bought the TaiModels version, and it looks great, but I think it might be causing a weird ground tile problem out east and I've stopped using it till I can figure it out. Coming up over Southend I (mis)spent my youth in Southend, from age 5 to 20, and it sort of disturbs me to look down on a shot like this and think that my entire formative years were spent in a patch of the planet pretty much covered by one smallish cloud shadow. That WAS my world for all th…

Having discovered that one can indeed import a plan from an online flight planner into the BBS MCDU (as long as the plan is FS9 format and placed into the Company Routes folder), I decided to have a go at a full IFR flight with a complex Airbus add-on and I was very pleased. No doubt you Aerosoft and FSLabs guys are giggling away at the back, but hey, I've never used anything apart from a freeware Airbus before... and it works for me. 🍻 Imagine a fantasy of flight... A certain brightly coloured A330 owned by Etihad (A6-EYE) has been brought back out of storage for a trip to Porto - one of the opponents of a certain football (soccer) team in 2021 apparently. Ther…

Today we are back in PNG, in Rabaul on the most eastern tip of an island called East New Britain. Our plane is the latest MSFS offering, the huge and very well executed Latécoère 631. For €10 it’s an absolute steal. This is what Wikipedia has to say about the aircraft: The Latécoère 631 was a six-engine flying boat built by the French manufacturer Latécoère in the 1940s. It was created as a result of a 1936 French government tender that called for a 40-passenger flying boat. It was intended for routes between the mother country and its colonies. The range was to be 6,000 kilometers, and the average speed was required to be 300 kilometers per hour. One prototype, now…

A rather long trip for me in the C182RG. Starring @Tim-HH's livery N1810R, Verticalsim's Peter O Knight KTPF and Orbx's Key West, FL KEYW. I did a bit of flight planning due to the thunderstorms affecting portions of southwestern Florida. My routing essentially followed waypoints along the Gulf Coast down to MTH NDB, where I turned towards Key West, and sort of overflew the airport for a visual ry 09. Please Enjoy Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Most of the heavy rain just came through and I'm leaving the bulk of the storm behind... A quick buzz around KSTL in the CowanSIm 222B. Hesitated on getting this for a while - I seem to buy choppers and then ignore them - but I do like the look of this one, and in spite of the comments on some of their vendor sites you don't need to use the mouse for the throttle. First flight out, and got up and down more or less ok, if a bit wobbly on occasions - she seems a little sensitive, but fun (ahhh, fifty years ago that phrase would have had all sorts of other connotations . . .). The airport is nothing fantastic, no interiors or anything, but the default is truly plain and ugly, so as it was cheap on JustFlight and I had loyalty points to spend I went for it. …

The 747-8i is now a dream to fly! The flight deck and FMC are a work of art with the upgrades! What a blast! Like a new sim flying the default 747. Auto pilot/VNAV/LNAV/autothrottle/flight planning/autoland work to perfection. Some shots of my first flight from CYYZ to KBOS.
