The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

[I've flown the JF/AH DC-3/C-47 on occasions, but do not recall flying the JF/AH C-46, though I have owned it for a while. Here is a most remarkable story of one (and same) C46 Commando, I came across today, in two distinct airline colors...] As aviation enthusiasts, we're lucky to find WWII-era (iconic) airplanes preserved in a museum, and the Curtiss C-46 is a most interesting (but less talked-about) WWII-era a/c that was designed and built under the shadow of the legendary Douglas DC-3/C-47 and flew 5 years after the DC-3. Though, the C46 Commando served, in the military, in the same role as the C-47 Skytrain; for civilian pax transport, in spite of being twin-engine…

I cannot even see the state outlines where I am currently at... And believe I could fly coast to coast here in the USA and not see the ground except for TO and APR. And check out these headwinds toward the end of a planned Hjet flight from St Louis to Denver:

I love the Cabri . You fly low and slow with a large view over the landscape. A must to look closer to landmarks but also to appreciate the finesse of the terrain and how man made the most of it. PS no mispelling in the title, just a pun Brazil in stormy Amazon (Manaus) Western Turkey. Look how humans tucked themselves in the narrow valley Western China or how to get the most of a challenging terrain Pakistan (on the road to Aghanistan) Italy Greece Mainland Karpathos island I flew around the island, wonderful sights !

I'm an avid reader of European comics, and Tintin is one of the classics. I was recently rearranging some stuff in the house and came across a little aircraft model based on the Tintin comics of a Tiger Moth that played a role in the album 'the Black Island', with the detectives getting airborne without a proper pilot, and crashing after a series of stunts. tintin tiger by JanKees Blom, on Flickr tintin tiger 2 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr so I thought, why not paint it? I looked up the registration, and it turns out it was a real aircraft as well! So here is G-AIRJ: G-AIRJ (0004) by JanKees Blom, on Flickr G-AIRJ (0003) by JanKees Blom, on Fli…

As the result of correspondence between two armourers of No. 4 Servicing Unit at Ondonga, on New Georgia in the Solomon Islands, and a pen-friend who was a tuberculosis patient at Christchurch Hospital in New Zealand named Gloria Lyons, it was decided to adopt her as a unit mascot. At that time 4 (SU) aircraft carried code letters, so one P-40N-1, NZ3148 coded 'G', was duly christened 'Gloria Lyons', and this name was painted on the lower engine cowls. While it is freezing here in the upper northern hemisphere, virtual flying around at tropical islands is an upmost contrast. Thanks to the sublime Add from Bijan 'boats, animals, rocks, huts' there is so much to discover, especially when boarding a yacht, a sailboat or a low flight over the water. And in some places are whales making jumps and V-shaped bunch of goose passes you. So yes, MSFS is not only a place to fly but also to ship around nice sceneries.
