Well, it finally happened to me. I got my own Mountain Monster! Whilst out testing the Dash8 I came across this giant, living mountain. It's gone now, probably slid back into the water or something. It certainly WAS spectacular though. Over 10,000ft high!http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/6482.jpgI went down for a closer look...http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/6483.jpgI tried flying through 'The Valley of certain uncertainness' but the clouds blocked my view - I assume the Mountain Monster doesn't want you to see which seaside suburb it just ate...http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/6484.jpgAs you fly in towards it, the top opens up and these spiky things …

Hello folks,I haven't been posting here for some time now - I currently have a rather busy "real life"... I tried to catch on with the latest UK downloads though, :-) but I have a couple of questions...1) The ATC still doesn't have the correct airports listings. When I ask for "vectors direct", the available options are: "Main terminal", "London Heathrow", "119.2", "base", and "118.5". That doesn't make much sense... "Vectors direct to main terminal"?!?I have already renamed the FBO's from "London Stansted" to "Stansted" and so on... So what? Is there a known fix?2) At Southampton, the runway seems to be wrong... The runway is marked as "08R/26L", but this is incorrect...…

I have just been looking thru the file library...oh it would be nice if it was organised in a similar fashion to the FS2002 etcWhat I mean is if all the planes could go into one area and all the scenery, outer terrain, utiliities etc go into their own download areas. Also it would be nice if all the UK stuff could be gathered into the latest package - not so important now but it will be in a few months when there are 20+ packages all from seperate authors - sure there will be some extra downloading and authors will have to cooperate but it would certainly help users with little fiddling time - or maximise flying time.....Just thinkng out loud!

Hi.Just to inform the right 'authorities', I have changed the GND Frequency at Bristol Airport from 118,275 to 118,250.FU will not let me select ,27.If this frequency collides with something I am not aware of, please let me know. This info is posted here because I think we get the most out of our UK-Region if we keep our Scenery in 'sync'.Thanks to all the authors of the fine scenery that keeps growing as I speak :)Chris

Sorry if I am posting a lot, but I have been "bitten by the FU3 bug".After my success last night at making an imaginary airport and placing it into the UK South scenery, I have decided to try and develop a real airport that can be used by all.I have the plans and can lay down the buildings, taxiways, lines, stationary models etc but my problem comes with runways. Can anybody tell me how easy it is (and how to) change one of the tarmac runways already available. I can use any tarmac runway from any region but I need to adjust the length and the runway numbering. Please let me know if there is a "simple" way or do I have to talk nicely to the forum and ask someone to change t…

Some initial shots of Waterloo station. The red train is the GEX (Gatwick express). The yellow train is the Eurostar. The little steam train is Captn Bazza's.Still working on getting textures square, building heights etc. Comments (esp corrections) appreciated now!Discovered all objects are displayed 5% smaller than actual size. Maybe this is the submodel flag in BSP? This explains shortness of London Bridge. RobD.

The most important hangar is set and the grass runway is build using real ground views.there is no lights at this airport and no ILS as mentioned in the welcome to Wight fly-in fun party.Important Note: Sandown closes at 8 p.m. (20:00), and you MAY NOT LAND after this time.It is estimated that 800 aircraft can be parked on site utilizing the northern taxiway and one side of the field so we should have plenty of room.So as you can see we need a lot of planes for this airport and a lot of trees also. There is an exhibition of Jon Point's tree collection at the end of the runway. http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/images/jonstrees.jpgfirst 2 trees are from Rober Driscol then jtree1 to …

I uploaded a package for Stonehenge a few minutes ago - it should be in the library in time for the weekend. About this package:o it has lots of rockso I have put a little temporary airport icon which you can choose to install, to allow easy access to Stonehenge. READ the INSTRUCTIONS!o tourists disappearo do not visit at night :-eek Also I have made further small modifications to FixMip, so have put the latest version in there.Just so that people know where I am going, my current plans are:o Waterloo, I want to meet it.o GEX (no relation to Rex) - see side of bus for details.(Thanks for the choo choo file glidernut!)If this conflicts with anyone else's construction plans…

Does anybody know if there is a document showing Airport diagrams and ATC frequencies / beacons / ILS for each UK airport or is anybody currently producing one. I have the the ones for San Fran (FU2) and Seattle (FU3).The reason I ask is that I want to contribute to this great UK "add on" but currently do not have the skill to build models (although I did build my first imaginary airport last night using other peoples runways and buildings). I would liketo put together a document, similar to the San Fran and Seattle documents previously made, but covering the UK airports. Please let me know if you think this is needed, if it would be useful and if you know if anybody else …

Hi all,A convert to FU2 some 18 months ago and then after months and months of searching managed to get FU3.(Good old ebay)I must say I am impressed, not only by FU3, but by all you people out there who seem to continue to improve this great sim. I have already added many of the planes available from this site, along with all the upgrades and add ons and I now have an exceptioanl collection of planes to fly.Being UK based I learn with interest that there is UK-South scenery available, but as a complete novice do not know if this is made up of the many downloadable files on the site or whether there is a base package and these files are added on. (My next question is where…

It appears that I am posting a lot, but unfortunately cannot keep up with you "techy types". I loaded the basic UK scenery last night and would now like to add the add-ons, but where do you start? The add ons I have found on the site so far are:Gatwick AIHeathrow AIHeathrow 3Stanstead AIStanstead 1Gatwick elevationGatwick 2Gatwick 1LundyUK Airport 2 packPlease could you tell me what the complete list is and what order (if any) should I load them in.Honest....this will be my last post for now and I will leave you alone to keep developing.ThanksAndy9164

Hello all.I am currently doing some heavy upgrades for the UK-region.My eyes is locked to the RAF Brize Norton to get the F-16's and theC-5 up into the air again.I have spend many hours on the internet to find some details and infobut this looks like another area 51 airbase. The only thing I could find was a bad airfield-diagram and a screenshot of FU3-UK region. Is there anyone who knows where to find some details of this airportlike airphotoes or more details??Best regards.Lars Peter.:-wave

I have just modified the northern section of Santa Rosa airport (where the two runways intersect). I was originally intending to simply stretch the small piece of taxiway centreline between the two runways (taxiway alpha), but FLED revealed a rather untidy area of taxigraphs and missing centrelines, including the following:-1. The taxigraph part of runway 1/19 was skewed off to the right of centreline.2. There was a section of taxiway (and taxiway lighting) at the end of runway 1/19.3. There was a section of taxiway (and taxiway lighting) at the end of runway 14/32.4. The AI pathway at this location approached runway 1/19 along taxiway Alpha, then turned left along this r…

Hi, All!I am wondering if my problems with the Sanfran, Seattle, and OT airports stem from the number of airports using radio frequencies. I have already modified the FBO frequencies in all OT, Seattle, and Sanfran regions so that no ATC, GC or ATIS frequencies are duplicated; however, I do note that a large number of small airports use the same UNICOM Freq. I have modified a number of these so that approximately 9 airports, total share a single UNICOM Frequency...I even changed a few to numbers like UNICOM 123.125 . I still cannot load SF or fly into the SF region from Seattle or OT without the dreaded CTD. Also, when flying with Seattle region loaded, a great number…

Hi everbody! At first, my system:-AMD, 1,2GHz-256 RAM-gForce 2 GTSShouldn't be a problem for FU 3...Now I've got a problm with landing with every aircraft on every airport! In the moment my landing gear is touching the ground my Flight Sim slows down, down to 0.3 frames per second. After 600 ft. taxing(breaking) on the runway, it increases up to 20-30 FPS, the usual average.Isn't that a little bit weird?I've got this problem also with Ansgars 747, but there it is all the time on ground, so it is impossible to taxi in a 'normal' way.Do you guess why I have this problem?Greetings, TIM

As i am based in the UK, Concorde has always had my admiration. We hear with sadness that from November this year both British Airways and Air France will be withdrawing the service and this wonderful bird will be no longer take to the skys. Please would someone consider making a flyable version to be added to FU3. Sorry, but I have no technical expertise whatsoever when it comes to building planes. However, having just obtained the UK scenerey (many thanks to Glidernut for his time and copy of the discs) I will be looking to building some models for the South Coast having also just downloaded a great mannual to help me.Eastbourne Pier, Beachy Head Lighthouse and the Palac…

I guess we have a new forum system, again. The looks of this one are going to take some getting used to for me anyway... but it sure is FAST! Fast is something we definately need.I would be interested to hear your comments on this... I have a hunch that Tom & Scott would too.
