Help please. i am looking for new senery available on the avsim library and can not find it to save myself. It is not the seattle or san fran, it is the switzerland or something one. Help me.

Dear All,If you play with FLED or create your own packages, a stumbling block for many is the existing LGS models that are either in the wrong place, or right where something else should be ;)If you edit these yourself, everyone else has a major issue with it. Also, it is hard to reset heights easily as one must find all of the models or you'll have some sunk into the ground or floating above it :-(I thought I'd share a little secret and also explain how it all got there to start with.The secret is, you DON'T have to jiggle every model to make it sit right IF it's in a package. Hi all. Over the past months I have learnt a lot about programming games etc. And i feel ready to sit down with the FU3 cfg files and play around with them to get performance. Do you think this is a good idea.I would like to know what you would like to see improved in FU3 and I will see if I can do it through the .cfg files. Thanks. Colin.

Shalom.I have a simple question to all my FU friends. I am completeing a website (www.freewebs.com/colsie12) which will be dedicated as it says to every other simulator that is not MSFS. I am offering free hosting of files for developers to upload them their and to AVSIm.their are certain files hich I have high intrest in hosting their. Particulary the work by Jon and the new AN2. HI all. Thought I would pay a visit I have been away playing MSFS for a while (sorry I know I have been bad), this is down to a friend borrowing FU3. Anyway to the point. As some are aware I was haveing issues with FU3 so I had todo a manual uninstallation reg etc. So today haveing got it back I decided to install it as MSFS is really annoying me. During the install I get to 55% and then the recticle file I believe they are called fail to install. I have tryed many things to fix it but nothing works (I tell ti to retry then ignore)it then installs with no more problems but, I load the game and only get the EA and LG screen then blank then it returns to my desktop .I coul…

HI,I have downloaded a winrar file for UK Airports South Region from the Avsim file library. So i unzipped it and read the readme instructions but having trouble finding "packages folder" in the FU3 program files, there doesnt seem to be a folder with that name. I have contacted the owner of the file, but no reply. I hope someone can help me, please. Much appreciated.ThanksKev

Hi Folks,At the suggestion of a few people, I have uploaded a set of Stemme S6Ts to the library, to save you the effort of having to update existing ones. These include all of the liveries (and one new one) and have the updated crash models. A growing problem over recent months is that in heavy scenery areas, terrain textures seem to blur (i.e. not load at fine detail levels). I used filemon to try and see what FU3 was doing, and there are streams of error messages asking for Level of Detail 2 (LOD 2) models, for all models that ever used LOD 1.So I created LOD 2 models by simply copying LOD 0's and renaming them(eg. copy san0.bin to san1.bin and san2.bin). This didn't solve the problem, and I continued to get streams of error messages on filemon where FU3 would look for models in the wrong directories, over and over again - I think this may be slowing down the sim and causing stuttering in city areas.Anyone …

Can I ask where I can get the UK south scenery. I am aware that it must be not bought but requested. If anyone has it may I ask if possible for you to upload it as an attachment and send it to me at [email protected], once sent I have a server which I can upload it to. Hi Folks!As promised, I've uploaded the S6 build files, including utilities, bitmaps, soundfiles, hexfiles etc. There are also a number of textfiles that explain various files and processes. Hi Chaps,I've just purchased Flight Unlimited3 from my local store, for the princely sum of 4.99GBP, and I think that was a snip! Considering it's a jolly good flight sim. Especially the ATC comms.:-hahI'm setting up my X45 key bindings and so on at the moment.Having trolled the various sites for info on the game, I drew a blank. Hi Folks,Just wondering if someone can help me out here before I start pulling things to bits again....:-roll I was building a new airport, didn't do anything different (I think). Very simple, with only one runway. When I tried a test flight, FU CTD'd at AI startup.I had a look at the airport in FLED, and all seemed OK.I deleted the airport from the airport folder, and FU starts OK, but when I start FLED and get within the vicinity of the aforesaid offending airport, I get the FLED "Yo! No airport" message.:-hmmmPressing on, I can recreate the airport, but FU still crashes.Any ideas?There must be a better way of permanently deleting airports other than just deleting the f…

Hi Folks ;)I have received a few direct emails asking if I am intending to release the alternate liveries as complete aircraft, with the crash model updates included. It seems that a lot of folk would prefer not to use Resviewer and just want full downloads. This is no problem for me, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks. Traditionally, only base aircraft were loaded complete and repaints were done as updates. Personally, I enjoy modifying things - but then I've been doing it for a while :-rollIf there is demand for it, please let me know and I'll upload the complete aircraft :-waveRegards,Jon Point

Hi all,I've been a fan of the FU series for some time now. I've found the excellent AVSIM library, but this is the first time I've posted on any forum. I know you have probably had this question posted hundreds of times before, but I really want to get the UK south region of FU3 working. From what I have read, I seem to be missing the maps for the region. Everything seems to work with the UK-South region but after the AI start up, the programme exits. Is there a site where I can download these maps. Are they for sale anywhere?Cheers

Hi guys,I've been reading the forum from time to time but I haven't been doing a lot of simming... flight or otherwise I'm afraid. Still the health problems then the past several months this system has been in worse health than I am. It locks up... sometimes a lot.Well I'm going to have to start doing more simming if I am ever going to justify the new system I ordered the other day.Does anybody have any idea if FU3 will work in in Vista? And if we get that far how about Vista 64? (Which is what I'll have late next week.)I see that Andre & Jon are still cranking out planes for FU3... you guys are something else! :)

A couple of people have admitted to crashing their S6 and having it turn into a Cessna 172 :-eekThis is entirely possible, as I was having difficulty with the crash models after switching to the Trainer as a base model. For some reason, after I imported the crash models into the Trainer, it would CTD at crash-time in the F5-F8 views :-( I do have an answer now - remove the "@v" parts (prop, lights) from some models e.g. the 'no wings, no tail' crash model won't work with a prop, yet the 'no tail' does. Why? Who knows? *:-*There are also issues with importing front-left and front-right views, which hopefully may be able to be fixed soon. Right now, I just wanted to release…

HI too us all. IN my time I have started a few MFS Virtual Airlines but have never found any FU3 ones. I am wondering if nayone here would like too join one and give me there full ideas on what they would like too see in one. I am deviseing a way of haveing us our own 'vatsim' like network no teamspeak or a 24 hours 7days a week 365 days a year multiplayer server.I Have an idea and name for it Washington State Virtual Airlines, or is that too long a title. I could call it South USA airlines.
