I have AI A/C that like to fly into the hillside. Any ideas on a fix for this?

Anyone know why I cannot get the C-5s to fly as AI, Gates, flightplans etc are all correct, 1 hour stayover between flights...

Hello there,Recently I've been receiving the following message whenever I start/fly near certain airports with high percentages of traffic selected:Application Error -Instruction at "0x6c371351" referenced memory at "0x00000004". Memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate program.This of course then ends FS2002. Could it have something to do with AFCAD/AI aircraft as it only happens around the airports with AI. Plus it only happens when the percentage of traffic is above 35%Any ideas?Cheers,jason

After I have used AFCAD to modify an airport and I have problems, is there a way to reset the airport to its default version? This way I could start over from scratch. I deleted the airport name and the flightplans, but for some reason it is still refering to the airport.Thank you for the tips.

Here is my question... I used afcad and Ttools to open a second runway at KOLM. There is traffic that uses one runway and other traffic for the second runway. But when I start a flight at the airport it will always tell me to go to one runway instead of the other. This is regardless of wind direction, etc. I have the airport set up as KOLM and 2OLM. I followed the instructions complete from the AFCAD readme. When I start at another airport and fly to KOLM or 2OLM it tells me the correct runway use.Has this happened to anyone else? I am experiencing what seems like some kind of rounding errors from TTools. Try to follow me here.If I decompile traffic.bgl, and then right way compile it back from the files it just created without making any changes, and once again decompile it, the airports.txt file will have different values for the fix latitude and fix longitude the second time.For example, this is a line from my airports.txt after I just decompiled it from traffic.bgl for the first time.AYMD,S5* 11.93',E145* 46.64',10 This next line is the same airport after one compile/decompile cycle.AYMD,S5* 11.92',E145* 46.63',10Airports.txt or any other file was not touched in any way. I just started playing around with TToolsand I have to say this is an amazing tool! Does anyone know if there is a good AI set for Northwest Liveries. I haven't been able to find any in the Project AI area or in the Avsim Library. I haved loaded up the full set of NW flightplans and just need the planes to fly them. I tried several add on A/C but the Framerates were horrible. Any help would be appreciated.RegardsPaul:-cool

Hi,Has anyone succeeded in getting AI a/c to use specified gate types like Cargo or Mil_combat?I understand that there is an option for this using the Microsoft AI SDK kit, but I just could not figure it out. I already have a lot of real world flight plans and aircraft added. What I would like to do is get the military and cargo flights to use only cargo or mil_combat parking.But this SDK does not have an option to decompile the existing traffic.bgl to airports.dat and aircrafttypes.dat so I could edit them and create a new one.What would be the route around this then?

Is there anybody who knows how to activate multiple Runways at an Airport with crossing Runways (e.g. Chicago, San Francisco, Amsterdam etc), so that FS2002 chosses the right one depending on the wind direction?I have a special case for Amsterdam: having one wind direction (N), one RWY is used for landing (19L), two others for departures (19R + 9). But only one side of each runway is used for departures, the other side (having an ILS) is used for landings.This is so very complicated, I hope you get what I want to say.Happy for every answer, Gilles

I know its not possible for AI to work without a control tower, but I'm just wondering if anyone has found a way around this problem?

ATC is telling me to go to this runway, but that runway is not the active one. For example, at jfk ATC tell me to go to runway 31R for takeoff, but they are takeoff and landing at 31L

Anyone know of an AI traffic tool that can search, export and remove all flight plans that are related for a specific country.What I mean is this, I want to open the default traffic.bgl file, and export all flights that have USA airports in them. This includes flights that have legs to the USA. I want to be able to export and remove any flight that will be flying in or too the USA. Ai Traffic mover will not work for this...Any other programs out there?Thanks

Hi, i've just noticed that if you leave FS running at one airport for for some time, there's a decrease in the number of aircraft parked. The planes are coming to land and after they've landed and handed over to Ground ATC, what happens is that when the AI request taxi to parking, ATC just cleares them to "general aviation parking" and the AI just disapears after this.Is this a faul in the ATC engine?Regards,Pedro

When I decompile, it says there are no flightplans, airports, and aircraft.(even the .txt files are blank) If I go to the folder in flightsim, the airport, aircraft, and flightplan files look normal. Hi,I am trying to remove the MSFS default AI aircraft with TTools.I Decomplie then remove all the entries from flightplan.txt, save the file then complie again. What are the Aircraft requirements to make an aircraft "AI Friendly"?

I entered a flightplan set using the WEEK option, with a separate plan for each day. It seemed to work as intended originally, with the plane only showing up at its destinations on the intended days. (This was for Air Force 1, giving George a ride to a different city and home again each day of the week.) I happened to be poking around the "home field" for these flights on a different mission, and I discovered a whole row of idle Air Force 1's. It looks like the planes only FLY on the specified day, but they PARK the other six days. Is this the way it works?

I would like to increase the number of GA aircraft in my FS world.I tried pasting the GENERAL AVIATION AI AIRCRAFT FLIGHTPLANS 1.1 byBen Laenen, but I got a shed load of duplicate flights... many of the planes I see had twins!!!I don't really want to mess about too much (such as starting a new Flightplans.txt from scratch) ...just increase the GA a little, so that there's a bit more low level activity.Can anyone point me in the right direction? Someone should write a program that will check AI Flightplans against the Airports and Aircraft to make sure they will work.

I know this has been covered before but I can't seem to find any recent posts on this subject. Recently I've noticed that some AI aircraft disappear after receiving clearance to taxi. Is this related to the node connectors/taxi designators?If you know the answer, please help.Thanks!:)Matt Zagoren
