I used the AITM installer, verified that all OCX files are in the proper places, and I used TDecompiler (Control+D) to make the TXT files.I then start AITM, then file open flight plan. I see the progress as the txt files are read into memory. After that point, nothing functions as the documentation states.I can't get any of the buttons to respond. The only function that works is Add Project File. It shows the Aircraft and Flight Plan files, but the Timetable, Shuffle, Move, and Export tabs are blank and unusable.I'm using the latest SP1 version.Any ideas on what is wrong?Thanks,Bruce

Hi folks,is there a simple way to locate new added AI planes, without having to go hunting for them through AITMschedule?I find very annoying to go to a specific airport at a specific hour of a specif day...and perhaps AI plane i'm looking for is not there anymore :-(Did lots of additions during the last passed days and i have to say that it took me longer to locate new AI than installing them.Any help greatly appreciatedHappy New YearLuigi ;-)

I am trying to use afcad to add atc to an airport i made up, but to no avail. I am doing what the instructions say for me to do. They instruct that all you have to do is add a control tower to the afd file and that's it. I can't get that to work. Can someone help me. Thanks

I've noticed a number of very nice FSDS2 designed aircraft coming out lately. As FSDS2 is a new design tool, I'm considering using some FSDS2 aircraft as AI traffic. Was wondering if anybody yet has tried using an FSDS2 design as AI? I know the missing landing gear troubles of FSDS aircraft so I don't use them as AI. I decided with the recent purchase of Lago Ultralights, I was going to create some AI tracks with TTools. My goal is simple... I want the aircraft to fly a route from Napa (KAPC) to Bucannan (KCCR) and back.I can get the AI aircraft to load at Napa. They appear at the set time, taxi to the active, and take off and arrive at their assigned altitude and cruise speeds. And they keep flying off, maintaining the runway heading....Other (existing) AI aircraft like the Piper have no problem following their tracks, but I've tried everything, including:Making the flights IFRUsing different cruise altitudesUsing different airports (I tried KSTS)Allowing plenty of time for the t…

I'm working on building realistic gates for a military airfield, with accompanying AI traffic. I started with using the Military Combat and Military Cargo ramp spaces, but none of the AI aircraft use them, instead they use GA medium spaces. I have a variety of military tactical aircraft, such as EA-6, F-14, F-15, etc and C-130 military cargo aircraft, none of which will use the military ramps. I'm guessing this is a aircraft.cfg setting, but haven't been able to identify what needs changed to what.On another note, I have had no luck using the "Jump to" feature in AFCAD 1.3.2, nor will it allow me to label taxiways. Any ideas for them would help.Thanks,

I am using all of SimFlyers US airports. Home base is KDFW. I have added a few of PAI's complete AI's. All AI aircraft taxi parallel to, but off the taxiways. Some, but not all, park inside buildings.I also noticed that if you ask for progressive flight instructions, they are going precisely down the default paths based on the pink arrows.I contacted SimFlyers and received some advice. It was to remove their bgl file for KDFW from the SceneryDB/Scenery folder. Download Lee Swordy's TT AFCAF file he provided them and install it. No noticeable change.Before making the situation worse, does anyone have a good suggestion?ThanksJayhawk

Hi Guys...I have setup AI traffic at my home airport using TT tools and AFCAD using overlays. Now the problem is that when AI aircraft land they contact ground and are instructed to taxi to gate so and so which they do. After some time when the same aircraft is scheduled to depart again it contacts ground,gets the clearance to taxi and then .....poof it disappears. This happens to aircraft at random and not to any specific model.Also if I start MSFS at the time of dep of the AI aircraft it will not disappear. The problem is only when they arrive,taxi to the gate and shutdown and when scheduled, contact ground only to vanish.Any idea what is going wrong? 1)There are no bro…

Has any clever person out there managed to compile an acceptable AFCAD file for EGLC. I have spent days trying everything I know to make this airport work properly. Bae 146s will not land, and take offs happen on the grass even though I have constructed a turning point at the end of the runway. A project for someone with a bit of time?Thanks,Mick

Straight to the point:1-Is there any freeware stuff that actually changes the AI's tail numbers to a regional setting? Like FH-TRY,PT-DES without touching the traffic itself. I just want to change the tail numbers, nothing more. 2- I'd like to express my sadness towards Wilco's FSNAT due to its "range limit" of 20nm around each airport in Airport FS2002 vol I. Because of that I cannot animate even a small airport 50nm away. So what good it is using FSNAT? I would like to add the USCG cutters and some of the fast boats that are out there to do some water flights. It would be cool to have the fast boats come from Cuba or the Bahama's into the Miami area or the Keys.Assuming Flight level would have to be zero, just add the boats like a regular AC and plans would be the same until they run onto land :(Has anyone done this before?

I have run into a weird problem. I have been working with SimFlyers KLAX and Rafcad. I just have 1 overlay to go with KLAX. The original KLAX is used for the north runway and terminals and the overlay (2LAX) is for the south runways and terminal. I have added 6 airlines using the Universal AC/gate matrix and so far it has worked like a charm. My problem started when I tried to move 1 airline (Northwest) from KLAX to the 2LAX overlay. They just won't move. I had used AITM to move them and double checked the flightplan using TTools to make sure . I recompiled. I double and triple checked the gate radius at the new overlay (2LAX) and the MDL for my NW aircraft. I even elimin…

i'm using mainly PAI AC, now, I can't use them if I have Rafcad airports since they have the same mdl file. Sure I can clone the model folder and assign one for each airline but that will involve hours of tedious tweaking. Maybe there is some more elgant way to go about this?after all, adding all these folders will break the concept behind PAI.will appreciate any help.

I unfortunatley have had problems with the afcad program and have not got it to succefully import airport files. I first import 1 aiport(afcad) file (that i have downloaded). then save to reflect the new settings.I then start fs2002 it then begins to build new database for scenery after thats complete it then. starts another process then gives me this error:"FS2002 caused an invalid page fault in module FACILITIES.DLL"I downloaded about 10 different aiports to see if it was a problem that I was causing, read you doc twice, tired the auto-installer but happen with all airports. Hey guys, After decompiling the .bgl for a second time, I noticed that at the bottom of the flightplan.txt file the entries are no longer organized with one ac# per line. Instead, they are all bunched together. Anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? Thanks a whole lot.-Ben

I finally got back into my AFD hacking and I found two interesting things:Firstly AFDCAD says that the 'unknown' bytes in SCASM for setting the runway location are 'runway closed (base/reciprocal)' and 'left/right pattern'.The left/right pattern is correct, but I question the other values. In the scenery.inc in BGLC I found this which I think these values stand for:NO_PRIMARY_TAKEOFF equ BIT0NO_PRIMARY_LANDING equ BIT1NO_SECONDARY_TAKEOFF equ BIT2NO_SECONDARY_LANDING equ BIT3I found that only bit0 and bit2 are set in the default afd files, bit1 and bit3 are never used. Up until AFCAD was made available to us, I believe the MS ATC engine worked as follows, when it came to choosing the active runway:1. ATC always chooses the longest runway. (If there are equal length runways I am not sure if it chooses the first in the dropdown list or what)2. If the tailwind is 6kts or greater (could be 10 kts, I am not 100% sure), ATC chooses the most appropriate end of that longest runway.3. If the prevailing tailwind is less than above, ATC chooses the end equipped with an ILS.4. I get the following error when trying to run AI Traffic Mover v1.2 SP1: 'Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.' Anyone have any clues what that means or how to fix it?

I've been experimenting with a bunch of freeware aircraft (mainly GMAX) that I want to release with my next update of GA Traffic Maker (see my earlier post on this utility here: http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...um=DCForumID13). This would, of course, be contingent on permission from the authors and repainters of those models.However, some of the aircraft I tested exhibit peculiar behavior when used as AI, and I was hoping somebody here could shed some light on how/if these things can be fixed. I would like to modify an airport so that there will be more than one runway open for takeoffs and landings. Is anybody familiar with a way to open up another runway? Perhaps I could make one runway for takeoffs and one for landings? The problem I'm having is that the lineups for takeoff with AI traffic are pushing 30 minutes + at some times of the day.Thanks,Michael W.

Having just downloaded the settings for world-wide airlines I see that so far only the MAJOR european airlines have been assigned settings. Is anyone out there making settings for the likes of easyjet or flybe? It would be nice to have a standardised set as they say!
