hi guys,i was just wondering, how much of a hit to FR's is caused by fspaint AI's in comparison to PAI aircraft.The virtue of PAI is that they are FR friendly, FSpaint aircraft seem to look better but i was just wondering wether this has a higher frame rate price tag. I didn't install any fspainters on my system yet so I cant give any impressioncheersMik

I added an overlay to my home airport and added some traffic. I fire up MS and sit and watch the traffic. When an aircraft arrives it taxies to the gate assigned by ATC. So far so good,now the same aircraft is scheduled to depart in say half an hour. On the dot it gets its clearance and then poof....it disappears. It happens at random at all gates and to all aircrafts. It cant be a broken taxiway line because it did taxy to the gate and moreover another aircraft did taxy from that gate foor take off when I initially started FS. There is enough space to make a 180 degree turn so its not blocked that way also and it also happens when there is not another aircraft within 500…

Hello ,I have created (upgraded) some airports with gates-parking, taxiways, etc. I have tested them and they work fine except for one little detail. When the aircraft go to the active runway for takeoff, they don't run on the runway centerline but on the side. In other words, they do the take off run on the grass. How can I can make them take off on the runways centerline? I installed gates at KLAS with five overlays. It's caused me problems with freezes when I taxi there. I suspect that's what the problem is because it's not occurring at any other airport or in the air. Is there any way I can restore the airport to it's original form? I know that I can restore ALL airports with AFCAD but I'd obviously like to avoid doing this if I can. Thanks for any answers.Dick

It's here at last. I've just released UKRoute Version 1.0. This is an electronic version of the Standard Route Document for flying IFR in the UK. It is available for download from www.hawarden.org.uk/ .Just look in the download section. Be sure to download its accompanying file which is the data for this airac cycle . . yes it will be updated every airac with "Real World Nav Data". An absolute must if your'e going to fly online. I'm hoping this will be adopted by VATSIM-UK as the definitive flight planner for flying IFR in the UK.ThanksGraham

Hey, My name is Trent Sellers....I am new at this adding AI traffic and using overlays. I am not sure if I am doing this right or not. Example. I downloaded a AFCAD file for MCO and put it in, and it had an overlay. So when I went to start at MCO I could only see the two left terminals. but if I started off at 2MCO I could only see the right side Terminals..is there a way to fix that or is that the way that they work??? Sorry everyone, a few of the 737-500 plans somehow got truncated so they won't compile. Can ANYBODY out there please help with this,I hope, simple question simple for you guys but not for me....all I need to know is..Is someone using AITraffic 1.0 out there and if so when you create a new flight plan {project}..and go to the import box to import a AITraffic project..what do you type in that import box or it says to "enter a path to this file" in order to import to the Traffic.BGL...stuff like "enter a path" have always confused me..I've tried emailing the author twice..with no luck...thanks for any help....I posted a similar question like this but got no responses thanks for any help

Now that the latest version of AFCAD allows us to define our own default radii for each Gate/Parking size (i.e. Small, Medium, Large), I have a question:Is it possible to re-size the Gate radii of all the Gates at an airport to their newly defined default radii?I have not found a way for doing this, other than going to each individual Gate and manually resetting it to my default radius.Stamatis

...then circle around the last node.Have had this problem only at EDDF, first German Airports, now Simflyers.Began with "Master" based on Thomas Molitor's great work. Then deleted gates and taxiways to make overlays 1 thru 9. All aircraft started at the right gates for their overlay. But when they landed, went to gates via taxiways that had been deleted for their overlay. Seemed that they tried to go to gates that had last been deleted from the master.Got past that by creating a last overlay with one gate that is always occupied by an LH B744. But now landing aircraft try to get to a correct gate, then circle around the last node before the gate.Text files for the overlay…

I'm trying to create some overlays for LaGuardia that send the correct airlines to their respective terminals. However, I am curious if there is a way seperate the runway usage so that the landing and takeoff runways are not the same. I know this may be too much for FS to handle, but I'm trying to meet this criteria:-ALL departing traffic uses one runway-ALL landing traffic uses the other runway-Correct airlines go to their respective gates-ALL 4 runways can be used by the AI If this seems unclear, let me pose an example: Wind is out of 270. All departing airlines use 4, all landing aircraft use 31. The wind changes and comes from 360. The landing active becomes 22 …

Hello everyone,I've gone over the top adding flight plan after flight plan. . .now my skies are looking a little more "real." However, I just tried adding in some more unofficial PAI FPs and have hit a snag. When I try to run the compiler (v1.3.2) I get the following error. (See attachment.) I've looked for incorrect flights and checked for the notorious period, but no luck! Still won't compile! Greetings, all.I have been playing around with various AI traffic tools for a couple of months and, although they all looked great and presumably did what they're supposed to do, I just couldn't seem to get my head around how everything fit together. I would download flightplans, and then not be able to find the appropriate aircraft, or find that an airport I needed didn't exist in the default FS2K2 database, or that I had to renumber aircraft and/or flightplans to make them work.Then I discovered Project AI, and what a wonderful thing they are doing for folks like me who just don't "get it". Completed an A320 flight from KATL to KCVG. Upon landing I requested taxi to parking. ATC sent me to general aviation parking vs a gate. I looked at the parking availability with AFCAD. It showed plenty of medium gate parking spots. FS showed no a/c in those spots. How do you get ATC to send you to a gate?Richard

I have done everything by the book! Still cannot get my AI flights to show up at Hartsfield in the ATL. For instance, I have been trying to get my Air Lingus A320-200 to show up for flights to Belguim. The stock planes show up and do their thing, but the downloaded planes absolutely will not show up! Is it possible to get multiple active runways at an airport WITHOUT using overlays? For example, at KORD, could I get both 22L and 32L used for takeoffs and 22R and 27R used for landings?Thanks!

Help.I`ve recently got this error when ai load.My AI is heavily moded with 250 AI aircraft.If I start FS2002 with no ATC all is ok. If I add ATC the slider freezes when refreshing the screen andv I get the microsoft error reporter come up.PLEASE HELP.I`ve spent alot of time on my AI project!!!My pc is 1.3 AMD 512 mb RAM Windows ME

Hi.I`ve looked at the above program and find the instructions are a bit "basic".How do I use this?I`ve built up my own traffic.bgl and have many aircraft (Gmax of cource) but have difficulty taking of, especially EHAM where I can have 10+ aircraft holding short and SOOOO many aircraft on final approach!!!Will this program balance it out?ThanksEddie

What do I need to add to an airport with AFCAD to allow it to be used with Ai trafic?. I have added a controll tower (i think) I thought I remember reading that was what you needed. I cant seam to find the information I'm looking for, thanks for any help.Having FunGrey_Wolf

Running TTools 1.3.2 on Win XP Home.Compiler quits with error when starts on flight plans. Will compile 13,108 plans but not 13,109.Have tried compiling/decompiling in all compatibility modes repeatedly. Also ran compiler from DOS, and tried going back to the original traffic.bgl file.Frustration building...Suggestions greatly appreciated.
