Let me start by saying I have zero experience when it comes to scenery design so bear with me... I downloaded and installed FTXGLOBAL_EU_AIRPORTS_PACK5 from Orbx and would like to remove the static aircraft found at the airports included in this freeware pack. Someone told me it's possible to do that using Airport Design Editor but I don't even know where to start. I've downloaded and installed ADE and I managed to load one of the bgl files for one of the airports included in the pack and I had the airport layout opened in ADE but I couldn't find anything what seemed to be related to the static aircraft models. Could someone point me in the right direction it…

I found a couple airport sceneries I want in FTX' freeware section (https://www.fullterrain.com/freeware), but I don't have FTX products. Would they work with default FSX scenery? What about with MegaSceneryEarth's Ultra-Res products (I have Ultra-Res Los Angeles+San Diego).... Thank you!

hello everyone. In FS9 I notice that there are 2 buildings near KEWR, left of 22R (I have the Imaginesim EWR scenery). So my question is, how can these buildings be excluded? I tried using the FlattEx utility to remove it, and it didn't work. What can be the problem? here's a link to the image of the issue:http://postimg.org/image/6ponplqvz/

Bumped into the steep learning curved using GMAX to create FSX scenery (these forums very helpful). Just about there with first efforts but still haven't solved the black texture to buildings (Imagetool re-formatting of 24 bit bmps to dxt5 isn't working for me) but will come right on that. The bigger problem is that GMAX is exporting the ground level grid as a texture which shows up as a bright purple flashing square in FSX. How do I turn this off? Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Everyone. What I am aiming to do is give ALL developers the chance to have the hard work viewed by the masses. What I am doing is making products when released for FSX or FS9 available for a LIVE view with in the first 24-48 Hours they are released. Hi, I just downloaded the Swedflight ESGG Airport of FS9 and tried to convert it to FSX. bgls with ModelConverter X but I was not able to read some of those BGL files as those .bgl's are the old type bgl files .sca (SCASM. Is there any other way to convert those old type bgl files .sca (SCASM ?? Or maybe some of you guys has a working scenery of ESGG for FSX and mind to share it?

Hello, I installed the OTHH scenery made by Christophe Bouville. I can't seem to get the jetways to work. It's for FSX. The jetways don't move or do anything. where as for others they do seem to work (I think). I messed with my fsx settings but to no avail. Any help? Thanks.

Hi Im making a Photoscenery for fsx, and I have run into another problem. when I load the sim at the island, there is the default scenery showing underneath it (Popping out of the sides). I have tried making a Hydro poly around the image of photoscenery, and made a trace of the island with a poly and set it as a hole. The problem is when I select all polys then click compile. The cmd window opens for a second, and there is nothing in my folders (The cmd window says "Source file Shapes\???_St._George*.shp not found"On the tutorial that I am using says to do something with the cvx file,and remove it from the fsx main folder, but my island is close to the land so when I de…

Hi, I am wanting to get into FSX scenery design to add to my existing MSE 2.0 photo scenery. I want to create buildings, trees, and all other objects to place directly on top of the photo scenery. I have recently installed Revolution X in my FSX to enhance my GENX Photo Scenery UK. However, the scenery (trees and buildings) are being placed in areas where I don't want them, namely airfields that I have designed myself using ADE. I have placed The airfields above all other scenery in my scenery library and my airfields have exclusion polys to exclude generic scenery. Other airfields that I have downloaded (mainly UKMIL/ADG) are not affected so I am assuming I have not done something correctly when I have designed the airfields. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,I've been poking around for about 5 years, hoping that a relatively decent rendition of the Madison/Dane County Regional Airport-Truax Field would one day be developed (KMSN). I've seen a few files here and there but none that really capture the current passenger terminal and field in general. Would there be anyone out there that might be able to consider creating this airport for FS9? I'm not too terribly picky (I'm indifferent if one of the scenery placer programs are used or it is created from scratch), I'm just looking for an accurate terminal (# of gates, overall layout, etc.) and maybe ANG ramp. How do you adjust the actual time of day that the "dust, night, an dawn" textures actual display. I would like for my "buildings" night textures to come on and display night texture at the same time as my street lights (usually at the start of dawn). At present in FSX the street lights are visible at the start of dawn. but the downtown building that light up night until about an hour later. How do I get them to both come on at the same time. In real life building lights are seen even before the street lights come on where I live. Can anyone figure this out? Thanks, Walt

I have been silently publishing some small low and slow VFR airports for about three months. most of them are located in the northeastern part of the U.S and represent some defunct as well as currently operating airports. If your interested in seeing what I have to offer. All are published here on AVSIM. I also have a small webpage that highlights some of the airports with photo galleries. Take a look. I am also open to requests, and if an airport looks interesting I may just build it. After installing the new Thai Creations Mumbai International Airport, the jetways are nowhere to be seen. I've tried to re-install several times, looked at the objects and bgl's in the Scenery folder but cannot understand the non-appearance. This developer does not have a website with support but instead has a facebook page? Cannot get a response. Anyone else have this similar problem in this scenery or others

I could use some help with night lighting of buildings. I used “Creating Night Textures for Scenery” by Al Heline. After making changes the building was saved in .jpg form. I then converted the file to DSS using the DXTbmp program. Used Model Coverter X to convert the buildings for FSX. Created model file and bgls and placed buildings using Airport Design Editor. The daytime building shows but when going to nighttime the building will appear but no night lighting. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. I have been working on this for months and cannot come up with a solution. Thanks, Wayne

Hi, I have issue with some of my domestic airports on my fsx. The terrain in real life is flat with no mountains or hills at all, but in fsx the area is heavily surrounded with mountains and valley which does not depict the true nature of that terrain. How to I fatten this regions to make them more realistic. Which tool do i need to get for the job.thanks

Hello everyone I've been very uncomfortable with the way model converter X has been exporting my BGLs. Say for example you have 60 objects in one BGL Instead of model converter X converting A single BGL and its contents its been converting its contents as single BGLs and this is quite annoying because instead of Having it export one BGL with it's contents you end up with 60 BGLs as modle converter x converts each object within the BGL as single BGLs. I can always export them manually and this will work but. It's quite time consuming. Is there a Way that I can set up model converter X so that it will batch convert multiple BGL 's with its contents still intact. Ps …
