    I wasn't sure where to start this thread. I see several houses suspended about 500' agl northwest of Wellington, NZ. what is the best fix for this. I'd thought about lowering my autogen scenery setting, but it is not very high (currently set to "Dense"). Any tips or ideas regarding this will be welcome. Thank you, Ken

  3. I was kinda looking for a program that allows me to easily make really basic and simple scenery, as well as basic edits, in FS2004. For starters, I'd like to move the Eifel tower just a bit (in a specific scenery pack I have it is misaligned with the ground photo scenery). I'd also like to place some basic hoops, pylons, and boxes for simple race courses... Any good suggestions?

    In simple words SBuilderX doesn't zoom in more than 12 ( Google Satellite) . I'm working on a scenery for VOBL btw. And yes I have the latest plugin for google.

    My knowledge of the scenery loading process is admittedly almost non existent so I'm trying to get a handle on it., I understand the concept of mesh, landclass, textures, vector data etc. My confusion comes with the ordering in the scenery library. Let's see how to word this - does the position in the scenery library matter OVERALL or just as it relates to similar product. If I have 4 mesh products fore the same area at position 1,2,3,4 - I understand that position 1 will be used. But, if I have the same products at positions 1, 20, 30, 40 - with other non mesh products in between - does the same rules apply - only the mesh are looked at and the last one is pr…

    Hello, i tried to make a photo scenery of Iraklion, the best satelite images are from google but when i set background preference to google the background does not appear , ther is just white space. What i am doing wrong? Thanks for any ansewers.

  10. Has anyone figured out how to add the FSX Freedom Tower scenery to Aerosoft's Manhattan X? If I move the Addon Scenery folder above the Manhattan X Scenery Area in the Scenery Library, the Tower displays, as does the incomplete Aerosoft tower, a couple of blocks away. Is there a file in the Aerosoft directory which I could delete which would remove the incomplete Tower? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jeff from Brooklyn

  11. Hi guys, I've already posted a similar topic. Is there any possibility to create a blendmask for FS2004? If yes, how does it work? Or is there an similar thing for FS9? For FSX you can do it very easy with the FSX terrain SDK. But I don't see a posibility to create one with the FS2004 SDK. You can only add the seasons, and the night to the inf file which you drag to the resample.exe. Sorry for my English I hope anybody can help me

  12. Hi guys, I'm currently working on an airport. I want that under the airport is a photoreal ground texture. But what must I do that I have only the cutted photo under the airport. But it's only the Maps2BglX for FSX. I need it for my FS9. What are the steps I have to do that it works also with the older version of Maps2Bgl (for FS2004)? And sorry for my English.     Hi, I was flying over the Outer Banks in Prepar3d last night, and notice that even though the "sand" for Jockey's ridge is there...the terrain itself is (very) flat, instead of having the 90+ foot high sand dunes. I've never really done scenery design for either FSX or Prepar3d before. Can anyone point me towards some good tutorials? To get started I assume I need to learn how to edit the terrain mesh, but later on I'd want to add new objects to the scenery (like the Hatteras lighthouse, etc.) Appreciate the help! Scott

    Hello all, I was wondering if anyone would interested or kind enough to do an updated afcad of my home airport KCID Cedar Rapids, IA. I don't have any additional pictures other than whats on Googe Earth or maps. I'm not looking for perfection just updated taxiways and aprons and generic buildings where they should be.     Greetings fellow simmers. I'm trying to get SBuilder up and running after a windows (winXP32) reinstall and a long lay-off from flight sims. SBuilder is compaining of a missing tabctl32.ocx file. Searches on various forums come up with download locations and links that are all long since dead. Does anyone out there know of a place that they trust where this file can be found? I found a place called ocxdump or some such but when I click the download link for the file it wants to install some kind of update .exe. I don't think so! Thanks for reading!     I find that the walls of autogen house buildings in Northern Europe tend to have too many white walls, and I was contemplating trying to modify them to more brick texture / colouring. Does any developers know which autogen texture files in FSX are used for the majority of house autogen in FSX? Stuart

    I created an airport background terrain polygon with ADE to flatten and exclude autogen/trees. I would now like to add back grass in some areas of the airport. I can't figure out how to do it. Some people say use a grass terrain polygon, but I don't know how to create one in ADE. Can someone help?

    I'm using an airport developed with ADE, and there is a red pad over one of the aprons. It doesn't show up when looking at the airport in ADE, only in FSX itself. Is there a way to delete this?

    I've created an airport terrain polygon in ADE. I saved the airport in ADE projects, and the polygon shows up. But when I complie the airport and open it again in ADE, the polygon is not there. What am I doing wrong?

    FS2004- Recently I've created an aircraft carrier in Gmax, and all is well, except for trying to get decent textures on the deck. What I'm trying to do is get good skids in the trap area, and maybe some grime here and there. Sounds simple but it isn't. First off, I saved the carrier hull and island as one .bgl, then the deck as another .bgl. Good so far, I use the FS2004 SDK to place the hull, then duplicate that location for the deck. I have two options, and have tried them both- 1- use the FS2004 exporter, and have all the deck markings and skids (what I want) slightly elevated on the Z axis to create layers above the deck texture. 2- use the FS2002 exporter and …

    Hello all ! Not sure if I'm in the right place, and if no I'll appreciate if somebody will tell me where to go. I have fresh FSX installation and installed FSGenesis thought this will solve any potential elevation issue, so I took off for observation spin and found some weird things where some runways are deep in a ditch I got some pix, but have don't really know how to upload them Any idea how to solve this elevation issue, I don't want to proceed with any add-on installation before solving this this issue Thanks in advance Yair
