This is a question for the folks that really understand which texture files do what... Right now my water (rivers) look very good at a somewhat flat angle of viewing. But if I look more straight down, they look black. I would like to try and have them look more muddy brown; or at least something more organic than black. Should I be playing with the "sky_" series of textures, or the "env_" series? Or something else? Or maybe there is a relationship between the different textures? Any enlightenment would be appreciated! Thanks. Ron

Hello everyone, I have FS2004 and I also have the Abacus' EZ-Scenery software. I am trying to add a jetway extension to my scenery that I had previously used with another scenery. The jetway extension is the tunnel with the glass that leads you into the actual jetway. I had seen it in a MMMX file.bgl within the EZ-Scenery program. Unfortunately, I no longer see that bgl file. I was just wondering if files in that program are deleted or added by the makers of EZ-Scenery. I have also been searching for a similar jetway extension that could be available to download. Hello. Pardon me for my english- I`m not english and english language is not my. I`m user of msfs2004 and I created land classes for my fs2004 a little by programs Ground2K4 and SBuilder. I tried to make land classes of large areas according to the "OpenStreet" dates by SBuilder, but SBuilder has stopped working for unknown reason and I decided to do a land class scenario with the aid slartibarfast programm which create land classes by automagically manner. Hi guys, So I MIGHTTTTT be starting a YT FSX channel, and I really want to make me first video the huge explosion FSX is. So what is the most beautiful, realistic, gorges scenery for FSX (not an airport!)? Price/ fps isn't a problem (large budget), I just want to use the best even with REX/GTX on top. I tried this question in the FS2004 forum, and got nothing, so maybe it is better here... I was curious if anyone has ever seen any replacement autogen building sets? (Not just textures, I have those.) It seems to me there are way too many multistory office buildings out in suburban and rural areas. And almost no barns or one story industrial type buildings. Internet searches don't seem to come up with anything, so I'm throwing the question out to the masses.

Any good tutorials on how to do this id like to create EL Nido Resort in Miniloc Island in FS2004 but i noticed the island shape is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off Terrible to be exact ive compared it with default fs2004 instillation and is the same exact way so im positive it inst UT besides UT doesnt touch this area as i have T USA-CANADA-And Europe In real life the island is By itself in FS2004 its jointed together with another island and its horrible ill put up a screen shot in a few but in the mean time can someone point me in the right direction on how i can modifie this and fix Microsoft mistake? After installing some airports and editing them a bit the FPS seemed to have dropped from 10-12 FPS to 2-1 FPS (I know my computer sucks) can you make an ade made airport use less preformance?

Hey guys, well i just finished up My El-nido Scenery for my newly created Miniloc Island and im ready to share it, thing is i have used many objects but really would hate to list and looked them up one by one i do have Instant scenery 3 ans it does label the objects and object Lib name but its would still take up allot of time for me to list the objects one by one Is there a utility out there that will generate an XML file for the BGL Containing all the objects and listing there Library names in text to make this step allot easier?

Hi, I am new to the community and I am currently working on a photo scenery for Wick Airport - EGPC. I followed this brief tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M41bBEw7_OM And I have managed to get a brief photo scenery going. I know nothing about watermasks and/or blendmasks however, following a different tutorial, I used GIMP to create a watermask and blendmask. My blendmask doesn't seem to work - according to what I think it does, however, the water mask partially does I think. Basically, if anyone could help me solve this issue, I would be very appreciative. My next steps - after this is sorted - are to use ADE9X to re-align the AFCAD to the scenery and after …

have tried a search to no avail !! i'm keen to hear (& i'm guessing a tad) if ADEX or the like can be programmed to allow downwind (say less than 10kts) landings on a runway in preference to the opposite upwind direction ... and that subsequently it is included on the atis and used by AI. there are many real world .... ksfo, kphx, kiad ... airports that have a preferred landing direct in light though downwind conditions. please remember this is different to adding "fake xwind runways" to an afcad to preference / avoid crossing runway conflicts etc. thanks in advance if you can help !

I've been playing around with the autogen Annotator, and it seems pretty straightforward. I'm using MSE 2.0 files for my scenery, and would like to try adding some autogen on top of it. My question is: Does anyone have any idea how I can tell which .bgls cover the area over my local airport? Am I left with going down through the directory and loading each one until my area pops up on the screen? The filenames are in alphabetical order, but numerically they seem to skip numbers and apparently don't bear any resemblance to the default directory and file structure, at least as I understand it. Hi, I'm looking for the textures used for snowy mountain caps eg in the Alps. I have modified 001b2 and 067a2/067b2 texture sets but I only get a featureless white (which is why I tried modifying the snow). I see in screenshots that it is possible do have nice rocky mountain tops. I am using UT Europe. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Sascha

Hey once again still learning here lol, So i manged to learn how to Exclude Coast LInes in Sbuilder and how to create new ones, ive been reading the manual quite alot everything is good ecept the waves there going the opposite way of the newly created coastline and i see some waves that are pretty high all all around the island?? Does anyone know if there is a list available that shows the extent of updates needed to the stock FSX AFCADS to bring them to a current state? Something like this may be useful to AFCAD developers to select their projects or pilots that have discovered while on approach that their scenery doesn’t matchup with their navdata. I briefly compared the information on Wikipedia, Google Earth, and Bing Maps to the FSX stock scenery and created a spreadsheet listing 176 Chinese airports. Id like to know if its possible to move an entire Airport base in FS2004 For example i was flying in and out of KVL Kavalina Airport and noticed the default Airport Base is way off Picture below will describe what im referring to.

I know this has prob been answered many times but i am still learning lol and just want to get a direct answer Yes or no lol Ok lest say for example i do an entire hard drive search for Add_birds.BGL and this BGL shows up in 3 different Active Scenery locations same size same date example picture below. What would be the proper action to take? Is it safe to disable or delete the other two and just leave one active. I should then delete the ones in the other two scenery folders and allow only one to be active in one scenery folder and it will show up everywhere? Hey folks, I have posted on fsdeveloper but thought I would post here also, to try get a quick response. I have a couple of issues where I cannot connect a taxiway up without having the apron totally messed up with the surface. I have marked 3 points wit squares of apron lights, all beside each other. I don't want anyone to amend them, just point me where I am going wrong. Does it matter the taxiway direction? The steps I have taken are - I have tried using aprons to "overwrite" the apron where a different surface is sowing through in FSX but not in ADE, the taxiway join I have tried taxiways and paths to link tem, and the taxiway onto the main taxiway I have t…

I've created a water runway in ADE, attached taxi points, parking etc. I then created an AI flight plan using the FSX Generic goose. From KLGB to L11 pebby beach (Avalon) My problem is that the goose will land, taxi and park just fine, but when it comes time to depart it just disappears. I've run the fault finder on ADE each time before I compile. And I do not get any errors compiling the Flight Plan. ie time issues or parking . Other things I've tried. Made sure there are starting points on the runway Lengthening the runway to 10,000 feet. makerwys I'm just lost as to why it will land and then not return. Thanks

Hello! I've completed the initial phase of development for my first new scenery and would like some testers for it before I upload it. It is KAVX -Catalina airport. I've built it in FSX.
