Can anyone direct me to whole aircraft or even just airfile zips for a Stationair and Stationair Turbo reflecting the specifications for a recent edition of this airplane? I am also interested in files for the Skylane and Skylane Turbo. Most of what I've seen is based on aircraft from the 1980s or earlier. Thanks

Greetings all,Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. Is it possible to have and use WEP (war emergency power) in an FS9 aircraft? I've been working on some prelim stuff for a warbird project and I am trying to get this to work (no success yet, obviously). Any assistance would be appreciated.

Gentlemen -I am trying to draw a curve with GDI+, and try as I might I cannot get the curve to look right with the built in GDI+ functions that deal with curves, pies, and arcs. So I have come to the conclusion that bezier curves are the way to go. After much reading, I know that I need endpoints(which I have), and two control points. Here is my problem. I want to calculate exactly where these control points need to be, but I don't know how. Google isn't helping me much, so can any of you gentlemen point me in the right direction?Much appreciated!

Hi guys. What editor do you like using for XML? Notepad is nice but it has no syntax highlighting. I was hoping there was something which could syntax highlight like Internet Explorer does to view the XML.ThanksCylon

I'm having a blast here working on my new overhead panel project for my crj. Thanks for the help of members of this AVSIM forum. What I have done is make an overhead panel from a bitmap and added gauges. I think the panel looks reasonably good for a first effort and has about 8-10 functions now and more hopefully as I find more appropriate gauges.I would like to know if there is a way to set up night lighting as seen in some payware panels where the white lines surrounding the buttons glow. Right now the panel looks good in the day but it's too dark at night.I was thinking if I could make the whole overhead panel a gauge?, I could make bitmap that would overlay the overhea…

I downloaded some of the panels from over at friendlypanels, and I'm in love with the 'blue' radio stack that they have as one of the options. I'm trying to get this stack to show up instead of the default Bendix radios on my GA aircraft (when you push the icon).I can't get the size or anything else right with these! Can anybody help? I really want to have these as my default radios.Scotthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/54707.jpg

While trying to compile a gauge the other day I have an error like the following: "Error spawning cl.exe". Has anyone seen this before? I don't understand why this just started happening. I can't get any gauges to compile. Edit: I am using M$ Visual C++ 6.0.Thanks,

Hey, I've managed to avoid this over that last few years, but now I must find a solution. I set my lever_throttle0 animation from 0-100 but in FS im only using about 75% of the designed travel. Is there an adjustment in the airfiles somewhere?gotta find a fix.joe

I have a few questions about creating modules in FS- Does anybody here have experience doing this? I'm wondering if it's possible to dynamically add or modify scenery through a module- better yet how to do it- I would guess Lago's FS Scenery Enhancer does this- but how? I'd like to create a module that would allow SAR helicopters to be much more realistic- ropes and winchs that actually interact with scenery. Essentially I'd like to create a package that mimics the missions in SAR4. My C++ is a little rusty- can you create .dlls in VB 6 (I imagine you can- just don't know how). I'd like some insight since it seems difficult to find any documentation on this su…

Hello, I've recently upgraded my computer, two new H/D's. I did a fresh install of Windows XP Professional. I installed gMax, registered, and started up and worked away fine -- but when I log-off and log-in again later I try to start gMax and it tells me the main program file is corrupted and that I should reinstall. I did this, and nit does exactly the same. Please help? ______________________________[bR]Matthew Murray,Boeing 737NG Captain.[bR]

Hi,been searching the forum a few days now and found a lot of intresting stuff. However every now and then people attach some code to there message and it does look like it is just saved for a while. Any idea on how to get these attachements? One of the intresting once is the one about Vector gauges with GDI+ in VC.Thanks in advance,Peter

Hey, I wonder if one of you XML brains can help me. I was wondering if its possible to create a gauge that could control an animation based on the speed of the aircraft. Like a rope hanging below the wing. The faster you go, the higher the rope would rotate. Gmax is currently using 90% of my brainpower, so posting code could make my head explode. If you could explain it like your talking to a 5 year old, it might help. or... you could always make me one ;-)joe

Im looking for a few individuals who are interested in joining and working on a ww2 aircraft GA group.Regardless of that I need someone to fix some nightlighting on an A6M5, Vought Corsair, and a P-38. Any takers? I will send you the entire aircraft folder. I am a major noob and have no idea what you need to change for the lighting. I need it to have strobes, panel, taxi, and landing lights. If you can help thanks! I design panels refits, not lighting. Got one you want done?

Hello,How does one make a bmp for use in an XML gauge that uses the alpha channel feature? (i.e. like the 747 Standby Attitude Ind.)Is there a tutorial for doing this?I've downloaded DXTBmp, have exported a DXT3 w/ Alpha, but it will not work in FS. Instead of getting the desired shadow effect I get no effect, as if the alpha image was not even there. How exactly do I create the proper bmp formated file with an alpha channel? How exactly does the XML code need to be setup for this? Thanks,John

Hi,This question has probably been asked quite a few times, I did a search but got no results. My question is this, when I use the "drop shadow" feature in "Paint Shop Pro", you have to set the colors to 16 million (24 bit). The results are fantastic. When you load this new panel in FS9, the colors look strange, not the same effect as it looks like in the editor. If I reduce the amount of colors in "Paint Shop Pro", the results are not good at all. How do I get this shadow effect to look correct in the flight sim? Thanks,Tom :)

Hi All,I'm new to messing around with the textures in FS aircraft, but very good with image editing tools like Photoshop and 3D modeling software. I hope to bring some nice free additions to the FS community in the coming months, though I'm a long way off from building my first plane:-)But I find myself a bit stumped by what's probably a very basic issue. I've read through lots of older posts and have had some questions answered, but I still don't know how big, what format(s), how many bits (ie 24 or 32) to save revamped textures in. Is there any basic tutorial/FAQ about .bmp formats/sizes to use for texture on FS9 aircraft, especially for editing VC's and interior windo…

My question is what is the best way to make Vector Gauge for such as Naviagtion Display which have route display. I read further posts about GDI+ and tried some, however I cannot find out that GDI+ is the best way to take.I image ND and those functions of 767PIC or 737DF and want to create similar to those.I tried GDI+ but lines are disappeared when resize gauges on FS.If there are any GDI+ tutorial other than fs2k2sdkwithgdi+ and MS SDK, please tell me.

What program would I use to add a keyboard command to a mouse click area on a 2d panel? I want to turn a knob that currently can only be turned with a mouse click. Can I add a keyboard command to that knob? Panel will not be visible, so the keyboard command needs work without the panel havng focus. Thanks and Merry Christmas,Richard

I'm trying to achieve panel spot lights like edetroit's crj 2D panel. I don't know if the fx_vclight effect files can be incorporated into a 2d panel or how one I can get this effect.Do I have to make an alternate bitmap? Please help me figure out how to get this lighting effect. Thanks, Adam

This is my first go at experimenting with night lighting. I know I have to darken the overall bitmap for night so the light will appear brighter. Also, I would like to make the light brighter at the top and fade towards the bottom, plus a bit more yellow maybe in color. This is just an experiment. I'd like to make the panel much darker and apply the light and hook it to the switch. Also, I cannot have the light effect over top of the gauge because the gauge goes over the bitmap and it looks crappy. I had to repaint the inside of the whole gauge surround black after I put the light effect on.Thanks, Adamhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/54516.jpg
