Hello everyone,I'd like to adjust the seat height in the panel config, but dont know what numbers to adjust and how much. I can adjust the zoom which I set up for all my aircraft. But the seat height is something I'd like to know more about. Maybe if there is a good web site that talks about it also.Whatever anyone can help me on...Thanks!Ed Jenkins

Well,I'm continuing to work my way through the P-38 tutorial and have another stumbling block. Here's what the tutorial says to do in the Finishing the Propeller Spinner section..."1. Collapse the hemisphere to an editable poly by right-clicking, and choosing Convert to: Convert to Editable Poly. 2. In the Perspective viewport, select the vertex in the center of the hemisphere. 3. In the Soft Selection rollout, adjust the Falloff so the second ring of vertices turns yellow, but the last rows do not. Move the selection forward along the Y axis. "1. and 2. is no problem.I can't get 3. to work. Here's what I'm doing...First, I select the hemisphere object that I have la…

Hi,I'm having a problem getting trailing edge flaps to work in FS9. I load the same plane into FS2002 and they work fine.Any suggestions as to what could be causing this problem? Also, here is a link to a tutorial I made for creating and using alpha images in an XML gauge.http://www.epu.com/dc-9-41/Creating_Alpha_...d_BMP_files.PDFThanks,John O'Keefe

Good day gentlemen.I hope one of you can help me with a small matter.I am trying to apply smoke FX to an aircraft and can position it forward/back, left/right, but am getting nowhere in the vertical. No matter what I try, I either get nothing at all, or else it stubbornly stays on the longitudinal axis.Phooey!!Any help here would be greatly appreciated.Sincerely,Heather

First of all I am not a beginner with gmax. I know my way around it and i have been learning it for a year and a half now. I have been using the way of putting in viewport backgrounds that i learned with the p-38 tutorial but i have seen other people have their background images mapped onto a box with flipped normals. I am just curious how to do this and i have read some tutorials but i havent fully understood them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Evan

I had a successful release of an add-on panel called FlightDeck SFX Panel. The panel is a popular success with over 3000 downloads and only 6 emails back with issues. All were operational error and not a single problem with gauges. So with that I just added several new .bmp's in several colors so simmers could match my panel up closer to their cockpits. Sounds simple enough. But I already saw an issue with my new panels (and already a user who has seen this issue as well), and I would like to get any opinions on it because of what I have been seeing randomly.1. On certain occassions, when I swap out my original brown panel plate (just the .bmp file in the aircraft panel's…

Hi,Can anyone put me on the right path of how to get a landing light working in a gmax designed plane? All other lights are working ok, strobe, beacon etc.I have put a spotlight in the gmax model, but it does not show up with the Shift + L keys. (other, generic, planes do.)I've put the 'light_landing = 0, 5 , 17.0' in the aircraft.cfg [lights] and the [electrical] seems ok for all other lights. I've even put a bat/alt switch in the panel, which works for other lights, but to no avail.I think I'm missing something that's specific for the landing lights.Any pointers very welcome.voscon.P.S:Is there something one can do in FS9 that works like the World/Scenery Library in FS …

I want to add the fpda boeing callouts that start at 500' and work down to the 10 foot mark. I think its a fpda_boeing_callout.gau How can I add this to my other jet panels, currently I have it on one of marco Spada's MD-80 Golding reworked panels.I thought all I had to do was add that gauge in the main guage area in the panel.cfg, but it does not seem to work.Thx!Hornit

Sorry if I missed this in my search of this forum. FS2002 had a nice GUI for aircraft editing. Where is it in FS9? Is there an SDK to download, if so which one? The one I see on the COF web site is for FS2002. Do I have to reload some component of FS2002? If so, how is that done? Thanks, GW

Hi,I was wondering: i have a supersonic plane for FS2002 that was designed to fly at mach 2. Now with a litle bit of tuning in the air-file and the aircraft.cfg, i was able to fly at mach 2.88. But i do net get any faster. I read some things about planes thatfly at mach 4-5 in FS2002. Can anyone tell me what lines to change to accomplish that?thank you,

Has anyone had any luck in correcting the very high fuel consumption with this aircraft. Some have done tests that show a range of only around 1200nm being possible. I can concur with this having at cruise recorded 37,000lb/hr at mach 0.84 alt 40,000ft 86-89% thrust. Can any one help with where I should start if it's not already been done. I am a complete newbie to editng cfg files in this - so be gentle with any explanations.Brian.

Hi folks,I have used 3 different panels with the SGA DC10. My latest try was with Mike Bauman's panel. Well, my problem is that I lose all sound after a few seconds in the DC10 cockpit. My speakers are normally set to 5.1 surround. After the sound crash I lose ALL OS sound as my speakers revert to "desktop stereo speakers" configuration. I can only get the sound back by manually selecting "5.1 surround" from the "Adjust audio properties" "advanced" tab in the system tray.XP pro latest patchesDX9.0bSB Audigy gamertried different fsuic.dll verions, resetting fs9.cfg file, reloading sound card drivers.
