Hi all, has anyone painted a Dash 8 in the new colors of Northwest Airlines ? , if not, could some kind person consider doing one, i don,t think N/W have one in the real world but to me its a shame as i think this livery is one of the better ones to have come on the airline scene in recent years, my opinion mind!!! ,thanks anyway ,regards roger.

Hi, there.I'm trying to do my first repaint, and I'm starting off with the POSKY 767-300 paintkit. I've scoured the POSKY forums, and read Gary Hayes' tutorials (http://forum.projectopensky.com/index.php?showtopic=5297).His tutorial has you combine the bodyl, bodyr, doors, and engines textures into one file so you have a complete fuselage to work with. Makes sense.Except I've downloaded paintkits for a few POSKY airplanes, and they don't have any body textures at all. The closest (most generic) texture file I can find is 767ws_t.bmp...and that doesn't look like anything recognizable...it's 3 geometric shapes in shades of pastel gold. There's engine, wing, and even uniform…

Hi, I figgured I'd try to ask here... I have this C-130 that I am using for AI, and he doesnt fly right, at first I thought he might be drunk, but he always does this. He oscillates really bad while on final approach, into a 500ft stall that he is sometimes lucky enough to land on his tail. He then procedes to taxi around on his empennage all the way to parking. Here is a screenshot of him trying to taxi (and #### off his crew chiefs btw). Any Ideas on how to get a better pilot in that beast?http://home.comcast.net/~svtcobra281/ummm.jpg

Hello, I have been looking out there for a panel for a B1900D or ATR42/72 panel that doesn't have so much garbage on it that the primary displays are so tiny you can hardly read them. I am looking for a panel that has a very large PFD, NFD, with an RMI for shooting NDB approaches. I don't need to have a weather radar in there that doesn't work and eats frame rates. I don't care about things that are not functional. Also to have the radios and everything else on buttons to expand so that the full panel can be used for the gauges. Anyways if anybody knows of one or is any good at making a panel please email me the link. I would greatly appreciate it so I can practice IFR…

Hi,I'm curious if anyone is making or has plans to make a Tu-334? I know it's hard to get info to make a Russian plane, but it's such a treat to see something other than Boeing and (Sc)airbus - by which I mean the Western types.

Hi, everyone. My son loves the Wiggles, a kid's musical group, and I got the cool idea of doing a fictional repaint of a Qantas aircraft with a Wiggles design. (If someone has already done this, I'd love to download it.)But I've never done repaints before. Is there a central place for tutorials or somesuch on how to do repaints? Thanks!

Not being a gauge programmer myself I was wondering if it would be possible to make a gauge that would automatically pause the sim when you were "x' miles from your destination airport? One of the Proflight packages from a few years back could do this but maybe that was something built into the adventure as opposed to being a gauge? On long haul flights I tend to walk away from the desk now and again and get sidetracked into something else.Just a thought?

Dear All,I'd like to create new audio panel C++ gauge, but unexpected trouble has occur. Namely, I found some key toggles dealing with AFD, NAV, and DME triggering look unoperating (for example, KEY_NAV1_SOUND_SET or KEY_NAV1_SOUND_TOGGLE, and corresponding toggles for AFD, DME, NAV1, and NAV2). As to toggles dealing with COM1, COM2, Both COMs and MKR, all work fine.Could you help me to find the reason of such trouble and the way how to avoid it?Thank you in advanceSincerely

It seems like most third party aircraft have the scrape contact points no where near the visual model. Is there some reason for this, or just in error? I'm not even sure how to test this in the sim. (well, I guess if it was too far off it would scape in a normal landing, but I mean for reasonable positions of the points.)scott s..

I am making a C130E HSI.It needs to be driven by GPS, VOR, TAC (faked with VOR2 if possible)1) I assume I use all the HSI_????? variables to drive the gauge elementsHSI_VERTICAL_NEEDLEHSI_HORIZONTAL_NEEDLEHSI_VERTICAL_VALIDHSI_HORIZONTAL_VALIDHSI_TF_FLAGHSI_OBI_NEEDLEHSI_DESIRED_HEADING_NEEDLEHSI_BEARINGHSI_BEARING_VALIDHSI_SIGNAL_LOCALISERHSI_SPEEDHSI_DISTANCEHSI_STATION_NAME...and then somehow set what drives the HSI variables? Is this a correct assumption.2) Does NAV1 automatically drive the HSI. Then I use GPS_DRIVES_NAV1 to make GPS drive NAV1 and thus drive HSI.3) If this is the case, when I set NAV1_FREQUENCY, NAV1_VOR_RADIAL, etc...HSI should update accordingly?4)…

Apparently, there used to be a mode in FS98 whereby an observer could join a pilot during a flight in the cockpit of the aircraft.I have never seen this option, but it brings up a question. For instructional purposes, teaching pilots to fly, is there a way to allow the instructor pilot into the cockpit of the aircraft the student is using? I have read the Multiplayer SDK, but C++ is greek to me.If not the ability to actually join the pilot in the cockpit, are there any A variables that could be passed to the instructor via multiplayer in respect to student control inputs, and vice versa to show the student control inputs for a specific manouver?Steve

    I'm trying to set the value of a G:var based on the value of another, as in:18 (>G:Var1)1 2 8 10 11 12 15 16 18 19 20 11 (G:Var2) case 0 (>G:Var2)181 183 184 185 193 197 0 7 (G:Var2) case 18 (>G:Var2)But this obviously doesn't work:(. I'm trying to set the value of G:Var2 to either 0, if G:var1 = the one of the first set of values, or 18 if it's one of the second sets of values.Can anyone show me how the syntax would work for this?Thanks,--Jon
